How about instead of nerfing defenders they buff attackers. They are choosing to make defending as boring as attacking instead of making attacking as fun as defending.
That’s a good point, but right now it’s 4/35ish defenders that are causing so much balancing mayhem. The easiest thing to do is bring them down to everyone else, instead of super buffing every other operator to match them THAT BEING SAID I want Sens and Blackbeard to finally get meaningful reworks instead of pity buffs.

Having 2 secondary gadgets should be the purpose of recruit. It makes him simple and good for beginners; you don’t gotta learn how an ability works and try to master it. Having 2 secondaries gives it a somewhat higher skill floor, but also a lower skill ceiling, making him not typically viable, even with 5 on a team. To deal with any possible overpowered combinations just make it so you can’t have both hard breach and emps by them being on the same gadget slot. Alternatively make there be recruit “classes” for example there can be a “breacher” who has hard breach charges and soft breach charges, along with 2-4 primaries and 1-3 secondaries to choose from. The different classes can be different speeds, and maybe they have different colored berets to identify them but unsure on that.
The fenrir nerf is one change. They aren’t making it a 2 part nerf like solis. Maybe they could with solis but solis roaming is so easy solis still needs a bit of a nerf more than no prep phase ability
@@jackie6367 I don’t think they should be completely bulletproof but not destroyable to everything. They should make it more durable like one shot to melee or after taking a certain amount of damage. Otherwise you’re gonna need to get extremely creative with hiding spots and a much smaller portion of the area affected by his gadget will actually be where enemies walk. It definitely shouldn’t be invincible to most things like it is now though

Solis is not fine outside of prep phase, she can single handily detect where all of the attackers are coming from the moment they have anything electrical on or around them. And the way she gathers info is so strong, so uncounterable and so one sided that teams can completely lose a game strategically but still get the win from the info they're getting fed by her scanner. It's not fun when you set up a suprise execute, you do everything right and then Solis can just find every single gap, detect every single thing u do and you don't even know its happening unless you stick an iQ onto the lineup.
Pretty bad take on solis not needing a recharge/time nerf, solis can literally do like 3 laps of the entire map and then recharge her ability in like 7 seconds. You have to be critical in understanding competitive play. She can deny plant from top floor consulate to 1f garage. She should be actively near a drone to be able to detect it, not call out 5 drones across the entire map. Other than that, solid video brother appreciate it!
it’s crazy they’re adding something new to the recruits on top of the rework. they’re going to make it so that choosing recruit will be an actual strategy
Would be cool to see of the recruits new gadget be able to deploy resupply crates like in terrorist hunt for attackers and defenders. Not a complete refill, but able to give 1 ammo and gadget refill. To me that would Incorporate the whole being a recruit aspect to the game.
I know I’m looking forward to this season like crazy but it’s not because the current one is bad. It’s because the current one is so damn good.😂 haven’t felt like this for this game in 2-3 years of playing it since it came came out

I am a very big enjoyer of the Pre-vis feature mainly cuz throwing shit in siege had been one of the bigger challenges in my years of playing and with pre-viz i dont have to worry about a missed throw. Thx to it ive gotten some pretty gnarly fenrir placements and its just nice to have a guide. I do get how it could be annoying tho however im mega excited sbout drone pre-vis
Ya I sent some recommendations to UBI which they talked to me about for a bit, but essentially what I said, I want to see the box cover operators (OG box cover) to be the new recruit skins, the simple/dark/sleek un-named operators that literally just looked like a real swat team, if you've seen the OG box cover you know what I mean, we all wish that's how the game really was lol.
I personally think the recruit models will be revealed as a place holder. I find it weird that they're doing full reworks for them but ripping their models from a inferior game
Currently the meta is strongly defender sided tbh, attackers feel too weak and it's just not fun pushing the site anymore. Imo Deimos is a cool op but he is very high risk low reward kind of op, and i won't even talk about the recoil of some of the attacker guns which should have been buffed ages ago. Now i am not saying its hard to control the recoil but it's annoying and sometimes it can catch you offguard. Would be nice if the AK74 could get some grips, buff the recoil on the FMG9,AK12,C7E,C8,R4C etc. Fenrir's Fnatt should be single use, like Smokes. You place it somewhere, activates and it holds the angle or corridor for you with a timer after which you cannot use it anymore. For Solis having something like a range reducer would be nice. Every time she uses her gadget her detecting range gets reduced. Like a battery of some sorts the higher the charge the stronger the lower the weaker. These are my two cents lol.
I think they should do Solis’s nerf should be backwards and keep it in the prep phase and just decrease the time and range because me personally when I play Solis the main thing she is used for is drone seeking and roaming

I disagree with you 100% on the prep phase nerf being enough for Solis. Even after not being able to ruin the prep phase for all the attackers she's still near impossible to drone out, still able to run out more effectively than any other operator, still has impacts to be effective at rotating or playing vertical and literally does pulses job better than pulse. Remember, pulses balancing philosophy is that he has 1 of the worst guns in the game and is able to see where attackers are pushing from to make up for it. Solis can do the exact same but even better (she can see exactly where plant is going down whereas pulse might have to guess between multiple pings) and again, she does not have the same downsides pulse does. she has a laser beam with 50 bullets for a primary and an smg 11. Every single round she is played, you are forced to roam clear her with everything you have otherwise you just cant drone effectively and her presence has compounded other operators around her to be even stronger. I believe that even Fenrir, as strong as he is, would not be as much of an issue if attackers could actually drone out his mines. Imo, she is the worst operator this game has ever seen, worse than Blackbeard, worse than Ela on launch and probably on par with old Lion.
I usually main Solis and ima be honest i kinda agree with you, im kinda pissed she getting nerfed but thats just bias. She is 100% busted and absolutely needed some sort of nerf. While i think reducing the duration of her ability wasnt needed i think disabling during prep and a range decrease are both absolutely needed.
I wish the game wouldn't put Diamonds & Champs in my matchmaking when my friends and I have never gone above Gold. I also love the trajectory feature for gadgets. Having a nitro get stuck on a molecule of drywall was really annoying.
I think you’re right about solis I think she’s good with the nerf for prep and for fenrir I think they should keep them bulletproof when deactivated because then you’ll have to play with them in your pocket and will turn into a situation where you die and don’t get any off. But still take away one and one code so you have less of a range where they are going off
I think a good way to improve the drone vis and gadget vis is to just make an opacity slider for it or have something like standing still and the trajectory showing up after a couple seconds or so. CS2 has something like that for grenade lineups that I think works really well
I think the point of solis was to get drones during prep because I mean that’s a big nerf but before solis was even added you can still take all 5 drones out which wasn’t common but was possible. I feel like it’s not that broken and I say that even when I’m playing against a solis the easy counter to her during prep phase is to just get your drone set up where you want it and get off it
Hitting Fenrir like that is honestly a huge whiff. Gotta love when GoofySoft makes operators useless. They should've just done the 2 codes, and I'd argue 3 instead of 4 mines
I’m glad to hear the Map Filter system. I love playing Plane (especially the spawnpeaking aspect) but can’t in standard. Very glad to hear I can still enjoy it
I like how the Ubisoft release strategy is make something OP, like having 5 mines, 3 active codes, making them bullet proof, just so they can lower the amount and make them shootable. Same shit they did with Melusi. Like of course it's gonna need to be nerfed, why make it like that to begin with?
Honestly I think this next season will be very interesting to see what kinda the tone is, as said we are getting a lot of changes and not a lot of additions so...going to be nice though. Fenrir and Solis definitely needed those Nerfs although yeah...Solis just needed that tweak of no gadget during prep time. Really excited for the recruit changes and I hope we may even get challenges to unlock cosmetics for the recruit, probably wouldn't happen but wishful thinking. As for standard, I really think those changes could help the quality of life of the mode but it just feels like the awkward love child of Casual and Unranked, maybe I haven't played it long enough since the Unranked to Standard change but I'm interested in the changes. And lastly, I'm not using the drone preview...ngl that's a bit ugly. I mean I use the gadget one but that's just so I don't blind my team via a corner of a wall or ricochet a frag grenade towards friendlies. So right there with you Kudos on that one ❤
I personally think that making fenrir's mines fully destructible is a change too far. Him losing one mine and one code solved his problem, which was the excessive, global, map control. Making them bulletproof will be useless because a single twitch will make him useless, as unlike goyo whose traps will usually be in places with mute jammers, fenrir's aren't placed like that.
The reason why no one likes watching unranked and casual is because theres no high steaks or competition cause theres no reason to be competitive cause it dosent matter. So why watch the same gameplay if you dont lose anything.
Maps are hard to make. But it would be cool to see what's coming. This year feels like a reset year, let the new attachment system sit, rework bb and recruit who are never used, deal with the balance nightmares and pump the game full of content next year.
I dont think these changes will really alleviate the frustration with Fenrir. They should make his mines glow or give you an indicator of some sort so you know where it is. The issue is that you can hide them really well so that its almost impossible to shoot out.
@QqqqXbox nah you're crazy. He won't see much use because he will still be banned. Even 2 of these things being active is actually so strong. Honestly, I feel like he has too many right now, to the point I struggle just putting them all down in useful spots. If you're strategic with his placement. 4 is absolutely plenty and 2 at a time is all you need. 5 and three at a time is crazy. It's literally better than an Ela mine in its effect and it's reusable. On top of that he has a secondary shotgun for utility and a solid primary weapon. Saying he won't get much use outside of copper is like saying Lion wouldn't get much use outside of copper after they took away his wall hacks. He has one of only 2 reusable traps in the game (other being melusi), and it's so much stronger than hers. Plus it can be throw so it's 10x easier to hide. I could shoot below an inch high table, throw it on the bottom and you're not finding it easily. You can hide them just as easily as people hide valk cams.

Likely getting hit with it at least once in the process. Keep in mind, I'm not saying he's broken or uncounterable, but a good fenrir is FRUSTRATING to play against. His ability is inherently frustrating. You can drone against Lesion traps too, but somehow they still get plenty of people if the Lesion is good. Just saying drone doesn't do anything for anyone. Maybe if fenrir is no brain throwing it in obvious spots but that goes for any gadget.
People that complained about solis being able to see your drone during prep just bots be smart with your drone instead of just straight sending it to site
I love the idea of the recruit change however I think it would be best to rebrand the operators away from the 'recruit' title. It has a stigma attached to it reserved for new players and meme strats and likely will just be forgotten. Keep the recruit in the lore but just give them a different title
Random idea that I had earlier today. When the defense kills the defuser carrier, the attacking teams needs to re-strategize how to secure the defuser before rushing to site to plant. All of that takes a lot of time. How to balance this could be adding time to the round per attacker killed. 15 seconds? 30 seconds? In the case when all four attackers are killed, the 1-5 gives the solo attacker potentially, 1-2 additional minutes. Thoughts/criticisms?
Dying with the case is the attacks fault, they shouldn't be rewarded with bonus time. In ranked/standard it shouldn't change, but you have a point for quick match. There is no strategy and therefore it is very likely the carrier runs in and dies. Unfortunately quick match is about quick matches, and adding time to the round isn't quick. Cool idea, out of the box, and gives the attack something because they need it. Adding base round time (like 10-15 seconds) could work.
imo they should remove trajectory lines from ranked, keep in cash n standard only. i hate how much theyre trying to lower the skill gap since thats the reason i love siege and play it instead of cod or apex etc
Fenrir nerf is fair enough when it comes to how many mines/codes he gets but I think the mines SHOULD be bulletproof when not in use cos even before you know an op is there for you to activate a mine it’s pretty shit if it jus disappears without use
This is all cool but…. in the battle pass they needa give either Ash/Gridlock/Finka/Iana/Ace/Wamai, just please make it an operator that hasn’t gotten many good battle pass skins in the past season or 2 (ik Ash got her flaming ryu skin but I prefer skins with drippy gloves) one of the 2 legendary skins ( preferably the one with the 3D weapon skin ) also if the legendary skins are default skins but different colors I’m fr uninstalling r6. I prob sound like a loser rn but the BP is the best part of each r6 season usually, idk why no one gets hyped abt it.
I don't see this happening. Guns are part of balance, if recruits get any gun then their gadget must be useless. They will probably get a selection, but not all.
They are adding all maps to standard YESSSSSSSS LETS GOOOOOOOOOO now they just need to add all game moods with the ability to turn them off and I'm fully happy
I hope the recruits can have a crossover skin, storm trooper or clone trooper perhaps. Or for tom clancy related, ghost recon future soldier jhon kozak skin
Please for the love of god just let me filter out individual maps in casual. They already messed it up by making standard, the least they can do if they’re gonna turn casual into the ‘anything goes’ mode is let us uncheck maps we don’t want, there’s absolutely no harm in it. I’m so sick of having to dodge and reinvite my bro so we can reque after Lair or Nighthaven comes up.
