I hope all the menus (main menu, HUT, WoC) get a fresh coat of paint. HUT menus have been the same for 5 years now…

I'm hoping the conversations are at least quick and easy and don't make me want to turn them off. It would be cool if they actually were a fun part of the gameplay but so far we've seen that to not be the case with them.

My mind immediately went to the managers press conference in FC24 when i saw the convo stuff. Just the same 5 to 7 questions 200 times a season. And if you dont do em you lose so much manager rating.

Also only one thing: i really hope everything works like EA sells it, we all know what EA Sports is in marketing their games

This might sound dumb, but did the video show if the player cards show a players nationality again? They took that out recently. One of my favorite things in franchise mode was doing an expansion team in Europe and making it a Euro only team. Or doing fantasy drafts and making team USA or something but they took that info out a few years ago

After 10 years of begging, we Still don't have the ability to edit player abilities in franchise mode like very other sports game has. so we're still not buying it.

All of that is great. I'm happy they added what they added. But all I ever wanted was for my coach to put the correct line on the ice when required. I am sick of needing my top line out there, but getting my forth line. Please address this.

Here's what I need to see working before I believe it: He went through this long conversation process to convince Sam Bennett to sign. Id like to see whether he just offered him that contract originally without doing the convo whether he would sign it or not. I'm almost certain these convos are going to become completely pointless and just a waste of time

I wish this was an online mode. You could use the same trade talk options to deter people from being mean.

I love the new stats breakdown. I'm a huge stats nerd.

- Let us edit generated players physical looks, (more than just facial hair smh) - keep track of past years award winners and team season record etc, (longer than 5 years) - when looking at a players information, indicate past awards they’ve won and the resp3ctive years. - show and keep track of who made all star team. - games intro needs to be longer and better, remember nhl 2002 sum 41 ❤️

Where ist the goalie mask creation tool? I am curious when EA begins to understand that each goalie hast his own mask design. I cant see this old boring goalie masks which are in since about ten years anymore.

its great until you want to play a play lol no broadcast presentation means a very boring experience.i use to win the cup every nhl iteration in franchise, that stopped in nhl 20...very very boring ever since

For GM Connected to ever work, they HAVE to figure out shorter seasons. They can't just throw an 82 game season at us and say "there you go". It instantly ruins the mode. Nobody has the time or attention span to plod through an 82 game season. Even simming 50% of the games to make it 41 is awful because you now have no control over your team half of the time...and you STILL have to schedule 41 games with other people. If they don't sort out options for season length, GM Connected will be dead on arrival no matter what else they do.

Checking previous games box score will be awesome, i love keeping track of how players ive previously traded are doing especially in the playoffs

The overall upgrades theyve done to franchise seem pretty cool. Agree the conversations could get stale quick, but its nice we can impact our players.

i wish you could play dynasty mode as european leagues with actual team budgets applied

Why would they lock setting your lines behind an annoying conversation tree. They could just add a "Use as default line up" option in the edit lines menu.

Look, 20 years ago, if you were playing like shit less fans would show up to where it was embarrassing. Is that back or is it an always full house every game no matter what?

The menus look a lot faster this year, likely because they gave up on previous generation consoles

I like that they are tweaking the skating, but so many players do not edge like that. I wouldn't be surprised if every player can cut like marner

If the lag for ps5 is as bad as previous the mode is literally unplayable..in ultimate team luckily its somewhat bearable

And what exactly have they fixed in terms of existing bugs and issues specific to franchise mode...they have indicated nothing. No change log, no documentation, nothing on existing bugs within current mechanics. Now they've added more features, which would be great if they had a good track record with implementing "WORKING" mechanics. Is the trade deadline mechanic, which is absolutely abysmal, improved? Is the menu navigation actually quick and snappy now, especially with all of the new conversation and menu based updates they've made? Highly doubt it. Don't get too excited. Temper your expectations because unless they've fixed a lot of things under the hood then all these new mechanics will only add to the pile of issues that currently plague this mode.

Franchise Mode has been dead for years, finally they returned things that were gone too long.

I love to see this. Another good mode to play will help fight the HUT-only blues.

This all looks really cool, but it feels like a lot of work for something a lot of players don’t play. Would love to see EA put out stats on which modes are played the most.
