Music: Lofi Hip Hop Instrumental - "Kame House" [Free Use] • Video Hope you all like this return video! It is sort of a test. Guess I will see how you all feel about it.
Saw this film last night. Can't wait to see it again. I would also say that this film is something of a love letter to "optimistic nihilism". The idea that if nothing matters, then everything can. Dan Harmon spoke about this idea and it's a huge feature of his show Rick and Morty, "Every place is the center of the universe, every moment is the most important moment, everything is the meaning of life."
In a similar vein, The Weeknd's DAWN FM has a lot of similar thematic tellings. In the final song "Phantom Regret by Jim" (Jim Carrey) he says "Heaven's not that, it's this It's the depth of this moment You don't reach for bliss God knows life is chaos But He made one thing true You gotta unwind your mind Train your soul to align And dance 'til you find that divine boogaloo In other words You gotta be Heaven to see Heaven" I feel we get too caught up in the minor inconveniences within the greater scheme of things, if we truly focused, we'd find peace. We are bits flying thru space faster than light, but as of now, we're experiencing life, nice and slow. Upon our dying breath shall we truly understand, truly, the universe shows itself, wholly. At that moment, in that instant, we know. Then we begin anew.
I think my favorite moment was the grandpa when he accepts the girlfriend. And just smiles at her. He may be old fashion, and strict, he was happy that her granddaughter was happy. It was minor, not even mentioned, or referred to again, but it was enough to make you just appreciate life. And love
I felt this was a movie for most/all generations to see thru bigotry and like WITAM said "to fight nihilism" doomerism is a disease, KOTOR apathy is death. If we do not feel why exist? But we are here so might as well make the most of it, if it truly does not matter. If it truly does not matter, then things like religion, race, creed, sexuality, gender, borders, countries, possesions would not matter and we'd see past it all and accept it for what it truly is. More people need to see this movie. Not everyone will understand or care to try.
This was a groundbreaking science-fiction action film about the Mother Wound - the simultaneous resentment we feel towards our mothers for bringing us into the world, and how much we long for them to fully embrace, protect, and soothe us. That aspect made me cry quite a bit in the theater. It was so refreshing to see this film, as so many films are about father figures, filling the fathers shoes, and absent fathers. The joke “I am not your father” and Evelyn’s all-powerful “I am your mother.” also echoed this theme in a way that was both hilarious and really relatable on a personal level. It was the ultimate rebuke to Joy’s nihilism. During the rock interlude, where they talk about valuing the earth, this theme of the mother expanded into Mother Earth, and how cultures who have understood and treasured the meaning of all life on earth have been exterminated by colonialism (symbolized by the white columned hall that the giant bagel resides in). I loved how Waymond’s power as a man was his gentleness and kindness (also awesome kung fu moves) - things that we consider to be “feminine” traits, and therefore overlooked, no matter whether they occur in a man or a woman because a patriarchal society sees these qualities as weak. I loved that this movie was about how important the feminine, the yin, is. Right now our world is yang gone haywire. There’s so much more to say about Evelyn being a Chinese immigrant grappling with bankruptcy, and Joy being queen second-generation, and even Jamie Lee Curtis as an unconventional villain. I loved how this movie not only bent genres, it bent power roles, stereotypes, body standards and expectations about who is “allowed” to quote Joy, to play what in a big action movie.
exactly! lots of symbolism for birth, feminism, coming out, gay rights and activist. The symbol for Jabu Chewbacca was an O/0 on the forehead. The O being a circle which represents cycles, female anatomy, and life in general. O always being seen as a "feminine character" the fact that they put it on the head/ the mind (one of the most powerful things we humans know of, but also controls our emotions) combines the 2 in a form of synergy. Which just shows that Joy truly has mastered her mind and her emotions in the Alphaverse, seeing as how she felt/expierienced everything all at once. :)
This movie was perfect, down to every last detail, a daughter named joy…if evelyn can’t accept her daughter “joy” then she can’t be happy…and if she can’t accept her husband then she can’t accept herself…so when she finally starts accepting them both she’s able to spread kindness throughout the the multiverse proving that things do matter, Showing she love for joy
I also like how every single relationship was resolved at the end no matter how small, even the minor characters and details like the googly eyes or the bagels were foreshadowing/relevant towards the end. It just neatly wraps itself up with a bow, and I admire the writers for that. the plot is also VERY original with its own unique ideas and put a great spin on the "multiverse" trope
This movie actually made me tearry eyed, it made me laugh, it made me confused in a good way, intrigued, excited over the action scenes. Made me think about my own life. Made me think about life in general. Saw it with my own momma too. Good vibes. 9.4/10 for me.
@@alexespinoza1868 my top 10 are not in any order are movies like Mid-90s, The Florida Project, Midsommar, 8 Mile, Forest Gump, Menace 11 Society, Breakfast Club, Scarface, Pursuit of Happiness, Friday, IP man 1&2, Rocky franchise, Boyz N Da Hood. This is all personal as you can see I have a lot of coming of age type movies, And throw EEAAO in there probably in my top 5. These are all movie that I think are 9s or higher and also have elements that suit my specific interests and taste.
I like how the title “everything, everywhere, all at once” is also applicable to the genre of film, comedy, romance, drama, sci fi, apocalyptic, etc etc
What i really Like about this movie... It literally is what the Title Says... Everything everywhere all at once. It has Something for everything is comedic but what i find very importing is that is has meaning and Talks about so many great Things to think about. I mean the Rock Scene was Just awesome. I didnt know what i was in for but i expected something weird Strange but high quality (because a24).
In this chaotic world of yours, you must find your happiness✨Only you can determine a true meaning of your life, even the world seems to view you as a failure, it is only you have the right to ponder if you really live a meaningless life..Those moments you take for granted will lead you to question yourself, the all "what if's" of your life..This movie represents most of the people who is struggling in their innermost self..I hope that we can cope in this chaotic world of ours✨

Keep doing what ya do...
I made the mistake of seeing this movie right after seeing RRR. Although I really liked this, it unfortunately couldn't match the energy and Brilliance of RRR.
Wow if self can change into the position of self in infinite different versions of self in infinite versions of reality what would your thoughts be and what would you do
Absolutely shockingly poor movie This movie plot was all over the place no clear narrative, no clear story line, scenes just for shock factor and the fact this movie is getting so much acclamation is further evidence of the falling intellect of society. We now have a society of people who rather then watch a movie with a great plot well written, paced and acted master piece now want to inflate this confused terrible mess of a movie to Oscar worthy. Further pretending the beauty lies between the philosophical interpretation, No it was just a bad movie.
This movie had an overtly antisemitic caricature in the first few minutes. It wasn't even shy about it. It did not come across as seen through the eyes of the main character; it came across as seen through the eyes of the film itself. I don't understand why no one seems to be bothered by this. It's pretty shameful.
I really like and enjoyed the movie. Though I did get most of the plot and the moral of the story, but with your video, I now appreciate more the nuances in the movie. Thank you for your review/insight.
I honestly didn't get some of what was happening in the movie but once I've watched your video I completely understand and I have to say this movie is definitely in my top 5 best movies of all time
Its seems to be a movie : About humankind. What are we. Who created us. Why are we here. And whole life is just a hard path.( For a test to excess another/next perfect life ) + Plus there's a clue of appreciation on the life time. ( After the buggling shown. Plus a clue of a true Religion) End of the movie is how everything is end ( end of the world ) Yes, mostly confusing. Happiness+hardship is A TEST. ( Ofcourse there's some plot, in the movie, mixed with some bad moral, falselove, and some parody such as the Raccoon blablabla. To confusing our normal mind) but , if u know the true Religion, you got your Iman . And your self consciousness. Inshallah, you'll be guide and successfully in here and after life. Amin.
