We liked it as something different to mix up the buffet routine! Our fav restaurant was La Paisanna (even tho it was a bit smokey from the skillets but it added to the ambiance 🤗) and Portofino. It is definitely an island time vibe so get your drink before you sit down (there is a bar in front of the restaurants by Bavaro's Lobby otherwise the others they encourage you to get a drink from the bar in the waiting areas) and prepare to be there for a bit. It's not like in Usa where everything comes out super fast. They lean heavy on using the app.. so I did see a fee couples who were mad they didn't get a menu. The staff just kind of assumes u have the online menu/there's a QR code on each table. So they come and take your drink, app, and main dish order at the same time. So for the best experience I suggest get a drink at the waiting area bar and then head right for the salad bars set up 😃 Grab a bite while you look over the menu on your phone 👍
@@travelandledger that's interesting about the menu I don't really like to take my phone out and about with me on the resort while I'm on holiday as I'm a web designer and need a detox! I'm guessing that the WiFi is good then?

If you like steak El Dorado did seem to be the most high demand so maybe book that first (the others were easier to get reservations at) This trip we did not want to leave the resort cuz we were having so much fun! But if you're looking for a good excursion I've had a lot of fun going to Isla Soana .. it has become a bit touristy but it's amazing .. and also had a lot of fun doing a "Booze Cruise" (cruisessss plural 😜) AND if you like to dance def do the VIP of Coco Bongo (because you get a seat w the VIP) It's so much dancing we ended up out of our heels and dancing in bare feet w the basic package 😅
