The reason why Chinese food is so cheap is because back in the days when Chinese labourers worked in NY, they would have meagre salaries so they opened these small chains where they can have affordable food.
I hateeeee spicy food because in my opinion the heat takes away from enjoying the meal experience at hand, by the spiciness being overpowering. I want to taste the different flavors in dishes and not have them all blurred by the heat. However I love watching this channel and I swear she makes eating spicy food look so appealing 😂.

ok if im being completely honest, i dont think that i've ever seen karissa swallow. like i mean she's stopped chewing but it doesn't look like she's actually swallowed anything. a lot of the time the video also just cuts off right before she swallows. is that just me?

This is what I miss about being in the city! Somehow foodie shows forget that Chinatown is a treasure trove of small eats, snacks, and finger foods, both savory and sweet. So much to discover right under your nose, pun intended, in your city's Chinatown. And it's usually so affordable! Thanks for showing this!
I'm an Asian, and I honestly think it's because of the reputation Chinese stuff has that people don't fully trust it or get fishy about it. So they get scared to come try Chinese food in somewhere condensed with it like Chinatown. But 110% Chinatown in London is one of my favourite areas in the UK. Truly so many good eats. My faves are there.
The fact that the Chinese can still sell food for these prices in NYC shows you how much control they have over Chinatown. Let em try to change it. Chinatown gon do them.
