@@lolastclaire3062So? 💀 do you even know when they met or if the kid's birth mother is still in the picture? If you dont then judging her is really weird
@@lolastclaire3062 your backseat parenting is creepy. The parasocial behavior is insane. Why would she call the kid her daughter if that isn't the kind of relationship they established/are comfortable with? You know nothing about them and there is nothing wrong with calling a stepchild a stepchild 💀
This made me realize how huge my portions were as a kid. I was a bigger kid growing up because my parents fed me like a full grown adult and I always went back for seconds 😭
That’s exactly what I was just going to say! My boys would look at that lunch like a quick snack lol but I love this page and her and her daughter are precious
Same. My grandma fed me family sized portions and I would be best until I finished it all. I gained sm weight but I lost it all now :) I have a healthy relationship with food and understand when I'm hungry vs bored
I have a horrible relationship with food still. I'll gain and lose 100 lbs like it's nothing and can't tell when I'm bored or hungry. My weight is like a roller coaster. It's hard to retrain yourself when you grow up eating exactly like you said, like an adult when you're a quarter of the size.
! I think they’re still trying to get to that point I’ve seen a few videos of her explaining they’re doing some diet changes for her to help improve her health so this is already a big step
Your an amazing parent , I can see the general love you have for this wonderful angel im glad you take her health into consideration and do portion controls so she eats enough and not to much ! I overall love this Chanel it’s positive energy ❤ May God bless your family!
As someone who was belittled for being an overweight kid but also simultaneously given the worst food possible bc allowed to overeat and eat my feelings BY MY OWN BLOOD… thank you for caring about this child enough to do her right.
LMAOF same here! My daddy disappeared so many times that my momma and step momma start co-parenting! Rumor has it he's still at the corner store getting milk.😂😂😂😂
@@morgandawn6413I hate vegetables but love fruit, but I still eat it; it’s beneficial for your health. And not consuming them can lead to health issues and concerns.
As a big young adult, I absolutely love this and wish I had more of an intervention like it growing up!! It’s so essential to teach portion control and not eliminating “junk” food, just incorporating more healthy habits and eating all groups in moderation. She’ll grow up with a healthy relationship with food thanks to the hard work of herself and her step mom!!
I really think you’re doing a great job! I grew up chubby and I was horribly emotionally abused by my family for it, I had a father who would take away my plate at dinner when I was half done and make me sit there while I watched my sister and everybody else finished their meal. I had to to learn to eat in secret, because whenever I ate some thing in front of my family, they would always make comments about it. I grew to have an eating disorder in high school that I struggled with for over 10 years. How parents treat food with their children really makes a huge impact on somebody’s quality of life later. I had to struggle and learn for myself what is healthy because my parents never taught me how to have a healthy relationship with food like you’re doing with your daughter now. It brings me so much joy and healing to watch a mother do it right! I think everything you’re doing is fantastic and if I had any advice, I would say to offer her more protein with her dinner because it can help with extra hunger and lean proteins like chicken and fish don’t really have that many calories anyway so they’re really a great option. Later in life When I struggled with over eating and trying to lose weight, increasing my protein intake to at least half of my meals, really went along way with taking my mind off of food until the next meal time. I wish you guys all the love in the world on your journey and I’m so happy that you’re documenting this to show other parents because I think it’s very important for them to see ❤ keep up the great work mama!!
Im glad your showing her she can eat without not having foods she loves. I would recommend having her get some physical activity like 1 hour outside or taking a walk .
It looks like bby girl is slimming down some, I love how hands on y’all are with her the dynamic is amazing. Just being great parents period is amazing. ❤
Overhydration can be a sign of diabetes and is bad for you if you don't eat enough salt. I have 2 sisters in law with type 1, and overhydrating was the first sign that they missed. If she really is that thirsty, I would get it checked out. If she just likes the circle bottle, I highly recommend adding salt to her diet because overhydration has some uncomfortable side effects.
Awe she’s so sweet and i absolutely love what you guys are doing with her she’s gonna have the best outlook on life when she’s older you guys are very admirable parents
I love the relationship you have with baby girl because you are sowing into her love and love stands the test of time. But please I say this as awareness and LOVE ESPECIALLY PARENTS TO MINORITY KIDS please stop feeding kids processed foods the earlier you teach them to have a BALANCED/HEALTHY relationship with clean & whole foods the easier it will be for them to build up a healthy life. Ik it doesn't seem important NOW but what we feed ourselves energizes or depletes our soul. Refined sugars, salts can easily be replaced with FUN snacks such as chocolate dipped strawberries, homemade tarts, air fried sweet potatoes/zucchini and cooking can be a way for you two to bond ❤ i hope this message doesn't fall on deaf ears because whole food=whole child much much love 💕
She’s eating less bc her stomach is turning smaller! Having someone who cares, supports, and encourages healthy eating is making is impacted! You all are awesome.
your a stepmother that explains everything, your learning, youve got so much to learn. She needs to eat healthy and get into an active program. I was a little chubby when I was her age and my dad put me in baseball, it changed my life
it’s so good to see you just doing portion control and not limiting her foods or labeling any foods as bad. diabetes runs in the family pretty hard so i was always told to not eat stuff and it sucked
Great on the water bottle...some veggies or at least fruit would be good...i know she likes salad sometime at school lunch, but at home as well would be good with the water, I kno you guys care about her well being.
I love this! You could also try juicing to help encourage her to consume more fruits and veggies (hides the bitter veggie taste that kids seem to dislike). Started juicing recently…it’s soooo good, especially when it’s fresh!!! 😊 A great way to bond with family too. Peace and blessings to you and your family! Btw that ice cream looked so good 👀
this is what they show us we dont know how she eats off camera, but right now i believe shes trying to build a good relationship with food for her daughter
That is exactly what she says in some of her videos she's helping her daughter portion her food which is why she isn't eating much and so that she can build a healthy food relationship. She does occasionally eat fruits or vegetables however that we may not see or may be in different videos. Right now they are probably trying to take it step by step by starting to incorporate these things into her diet. This is the case with the waterbottle where they are trying to get her to drink more water.
The water intake is so helpful when trying to eat in moderation because it makes you feel full for longer so you don’t end up eating as much so you have that calorie deficit without feeling like your starving all the time!! Great choice! I wish I had this when I was younger. It was always eat what’s on your plate which lead to over eating and as an adult I struggle with healthy eating habits sometimes. This is amazing! She eats better than most 8 year olds the “healthier” options will be easy to introduce and incorporate as she gets older!
I wish I had times with my parents like this when I was a child. My mother was a alcoholic and I never saw her normal till 6 years ago. So, she is trying to make up for it now which I am grateful for.
That water intake is the best thing you can introduce her to as a plus size girl. Having high water intake introduced to me as a child by my parents literally saved my life! It will help prevent so much additional weight gain! ❤
that was me with a cirkul at first 😂 i liked it but idk the flavors to me were kinda bad my friend had gotten me a 40oz stanley n i use it 50x a day now
No hate but there’s not a single fruit or veggie in any of these… even if she doesn’t eat them just adding some to her plate every time can encourage her to eat some. If she’s eating like this everyday I worry for her future😞
I agree! And all those processed foods and high sodium foods, no fruit no veggies, but who am I that’s her child and she can feed her what’s she pleases,
Where and when is she getting fruits and veggies? They are essential to a balanced diet. Fresh fruit in season helps curb cravings for sweets and can be sweetened with splenda. Fresh vegetables such as cauliflower, carrot sticks, celery help with the crunchy cravings too. They can be served with low calorie or light salad dressings or vinegrettes. I noticed a lot of carbohydrates in her meals, toast, coating on the leftovers for lunch and then pasta & bread for dinner. You're headed in the right direction keep learning and teaching her too. Great that she's drinking more water, helps flush the body. Check into exercise routines that are available on line to get her started. If there is a local YWCA or school that offers open swim times (make sure a lifeguard is on duty at all times) will also be fun for her! Your or her healthcare provider could also recommend a dietician to help develop balanced diet plans. Don't over emphasize the way she looks, focus on how she feels and the way different foods and activities affect her. You've got this bonus Mom!
That portion control is 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 I still struggle with it in my 30’s so I tend to eat a lot of green beans, vegetable soups with protein broth or use romaine to increase volume because I feel my brain was never trained to recognize being full off of a proper portion.
This is amazing, I need to get my water intake up. As you all make meals together, a Ninja Cremi has been a great way for me to get more fruits in my diet that includes all those good fibers, also making smoothies too. It might enhance the great work you all area already doing.
Your kidneys don't need that much water. If she's running back and forth to the bathroom, consider getting her A1C checked. You also don't want her releasing a lot of potassium through her urine. Stop feeding her food that will make her thirsty too. Salt on the eggs, ice cream, processed foods, and foods filled with saturated fats. If yall going to do it, do it right.
@@christina-mz1lp That's why I said get A1C checked. People trying to eat healthy need to pick up a book, take a dietitian course or 2, and learn how to shop around the perimeters of the supermarket. That's where your healthy food options are. Stay away from the middle aisles.
I love you and your family. The cutest 🥹 thank you for being such a wonderful stepmom to her!! Mine made me feel like she hated me growing up but now we’re besties 😅😂
I know how much you love her and that's amazing, but dang....not a single piece of fruit or vegetables?? You could have thrown a bag of frozen broccoli in with dinner or something.
I’m 16 and weigh 157 pounds (ofc bc of muscle I’ve gained) when I was her age, I was around 160. The way I cut that weight was exercise and fruits + vegetables. Even running for 15 minutes or walking for 30 minutes a day can do wonders. I was involved in track (I hated it) but it helped me cut weight and gain muscle. I feel so energized 🔥
Yes that Circle bottle is good for her. Since I reminded you what uts called, you done said ot about 10 times in this video. Wait til she see the glow her skin is gonna have soon from the water intake
