it really is so interesting to see how different other knitters are! i tried using tiny circs for sock knitting and absolutely despised the process, probably because i like being able to rest my hand on the bottom of a four or five inch needle and using that as leverage to move my stitches around more easily. now i'm strictly a two-at-at-time sock knitter on a very long magic loop, and i'm never looking back! it's just incredibly convenient and i'm glad to never get stuck on sock island ever again!

Hello! I am watching this a year later, so maybe you already know what I wanted to write here. I wanted to give you a little tip when you knit a surprise sweater again for your husband. You can simply chose one of his favourite garments that are in a similar style and fabric and use it as a kind of "template". Like this you can lay your project flat on the favourite garment and check width and length of body and sleeves. This is a foolproof method of getting your surprise to fit well in the end. I am happy to have discovered your channel. It was a very interesting video and you seem very sweet and well-spoken. Thank you for a great watch. Happy knitting!

With Cami 4's straps, I thrifted a tank for my kid with a similar issue over the summer. I added a cute little button and loop on the back of the straps to make it a racerback with added detail to stop the slouching.

The Two of Wands patterns are on my queue this year!! Yours look beautiful and so glad it’s a bra friendly and everyday garment - that’s exactly what I’m looking for! There are so many underrated summer tops out there besides the overly popular IG camis that are not that wearable daily honestly

I just found your channel and so happy to see your choice of sweater patterns. I am a huge fan of Petite Knit patterns and am also petite in height. Your comments about sizing and yarn selection will be so helpful when I get started on some of those sweaters that are in my cue. I don't like yoke colorwork patterns on my frame (although I think they are beautiful and have made several so I know they don't work for me) and too warm for everyday wear in Kansas where I live. It seems like RU-vid focuses too much on those types of sweaters. Looking forward to seeing more of your content in the future!

I've just started watching your videos, and I really enjoy the visuals, how you present the information, the choice of models. I think (take my opinion with a grain of salt, please) the second sweater could have benefitted from being a touch denser/stiffer, being knit on the smaller size needles cause it gets a bit too droopy around the arm on the pic on 6:12. Also, it pulls blueish on you cause you're probably neutral to warm and have a sufficient amount of yellow to your complexion. The zipper sweater, the vest and the neck cowl are my favs, beautiful pieces!

I have a lace leaf wrap I want to make from a knitting shawl book I have and basically even though the pattern has basic stitches like SSK,YO,K2TOG The pattern only shows the one section you repeat in the pattern for that specific row you are working on and basically on track and not end up losing stitches I know there’s a thing called a lifeline but my pattern is a 10 row lace leaf pattern so I would probably put the lifeline after I finish every 10 Rows of the pattern but for example if you are on a certain row in the pattern it will say to do the one section and then it will have little stars telling you to repeat it how ever many times it tells you to repeat it and it would be nice if someone rewrote the pattern in a way I can understand it meaning if it says for example you repeat what is in the star section A total of three more time it would be written out three more time exactly so then when I finish the first repeat I cross that out and then I work on the second repeat and cross that out and then work on the third repeat and cross that out I hope this makes sense to someone and I know rewriting a pattern maybe copy writing but if someone can rewrite the pattern to make it easier for me before I tackle something a little challenging I would very much appreciate it because I don’t wanna have to rip back my work and start over so I really hope someone can help me so I can start my project Thanks 🙏

Just an FYI - I purchased the Sweater #9 and Sweater #9 Lite patterns. The Lite pattern calls for short rows for the yoke and shoulders, so it's not as beginner friendly as the original #9. #themoreyouknow

Another fabulous, engaging, informative video and I thank you for your dedication to inform. I just recently purchased Valley Yarns Southampton alpaca silk from Webs at 7.29 per ball and Lion Brand Fishermans wool to make the Port Sweater by Ozetta. Got discounts and sales on both yarns so I feel pretty lucky there. I just hope the two combined won't be too bulky. I did the math for the size I am making and hope 5 balls of alpaca will be enough. Do you have plans to make any of the Ozetta patterns? I also like the Lakes Pullover. You have experience in knitting with mohair held with other yarns and I am making a size medium. Do you think 5 balls is enough? Like I said, I did the math and hope I have enough to swatch with. thank you!!
@susanjackson1616
@susanjackson1616 Год назад
It seems popular now to use combining yarns .. does that make it more expensive , buying 2 lots of yarn ? Love your podcast susan :))
@neknits
@neknits Год назад
It is more expensive because yes, it's 2 whole lots of yarn. Although I enjoy the effect of the combined yarns, I'd love to find more yarn options that meet gauge without an added strand of mohair. To help save some $$ !
