You can still shorten the sleeves on the Marigold tee. Its actually quite easy to do it now after you have completed it because you know exactly how much shorter you need to make them. "Sew" in a lifeline then cut the yarn and remove the extra length (you wont be able to rip because one sleeve was knit in the opposite direction), then pick up the stitches and knit a ribbing and bind off.

New to your channel but have heard of Birch and Lily many times so I tuned in. Really nice podcast and I love the sweaters you posted about. They were all new to me patterns for the most part which I appreciated. Too many sweater patterns get all the love and I get tired of seeing the same things over and over. Anyway...I look forward to seeing upcoming podcasts.

It was a nice trip down memory lane. Love seeing all your garments from 2023. I'm such a slow knitter, but I knit for relaxation. I could never knit test knits. Your sweaters are all so lovely!!❤❤ can't wait to see what gets completed in 2024!!

Wow! All of your sweaters are beautiful. Thank you for putting in the time to do the timestamps and links that is super helpful! My absolute favorites are the Maybury Cardigan and Sibling Sweater! I love how daybreak and nutcracker look together. I agree about the EKF Rockies DK. I also find it very difficult to use in projects with it being in-between a DK and Sport, I always really struggle to get gauge.

GM Amanda The sweater you gave on is gorgeous and looks lovely on you I hear you about the dog sweater … I made one for my Keisha and she hates it But if cold out on our daily car ride I make her wear it She is a very hot dog as my vet called her Her hair is so thick with some curl and I got her in Edmonton when we lived in Strathmore AB All your sweaters are beautiful Happy you showed all your knits for 2023 and my thanks You are a knitting machine girl 😊 Love you pods 😊💝🥰

Hi Amanda first time watching, and wow you were busy last year I wrote down so many of the patterns hope to make some. I do understand about weights of yarns I bought what I thought was a sport but it measures out to be a fingering but is listed as dk how can that be. As a yarn dyer that you are and sell yarn can you give me any ideas I n hiw to choose the right weight it gets expensive luckily I only bought one ball. Thank you enjoyed your video I will be watching your podcast. 😊

Pick something that has a similar yardage per 100g to what the pattern calls for! Thats the most accurate way, unfortunately base names have such a broad range. One brands fingering weight could be another’s DK 🤦‍♀️

Don’t let Stripes put you off yoked sweaters. It’s a poorly shaped design. I would suggest Jennifer Steingas for a good circular yoke. Your knits are lovely!

Yeah, I may have to try another one this year and see. Maybe from a colorwork heavy designer. I just ahven't found one I've liked yet!

I am cautious about swesters There are some yarns which can be so uncomfortable I love seeing them on other people I have had better results with cardigans😊

Nope, all hand knit! I do work from home which helps a lot. Plus I;ve just figured out how to carry my knitting everywhere with me so I can get in a stich or two whenever I have a moment lol.

Mix of both. I mostly do continental, but I will Norwegian purl if I feel the pattern lends to it.
