This is my opinion we all have been struggling on eBay the last 2 years. I am happy for you Marcus because you work your butt off with your business. Since inflation hit really hard in 2022 we all have been struggling. My husband has a good paying job for the last 15 years but at times we barely had enough money to survive. It seems like whatnot is helping you to be able to keep your business going in these tough times.

This is my problem with whatnot ex you made approx 600 after fees about 420, 97 items that’s about 4-5 bucks a piece love whatnot but when you don’t have the crowd to bid stuff up it’s hard especially if you don’t source at the bins. Everybody needs to know their numbers for it to work, love it bcz it’s a quick turn and burn less work no listings no inventory system needed in some cases that’s worth a smaller payout, consistency is key for sure

It isn’t for everyone. I don’t care how I make my money as long as it’s consistent and a proper payout. eBay just wasn’t cutting it anymore

Hey Marcus ! A couple questions about what not. Do you stream your show on your computer while filming on your phone ? Towards the end of the video, you tried explaining item quantity with the label that’s generated for one buyer… so are you packing multiple different boxes for the same buyer and shipping them out separately? Instead of combining them all into one package? Thanks !

I stream on my phone. Whatnot is done from the phone. I watch the stream on the computer to monitor how much money I’m making during the show. I combine the labels but if a buyer leaves the show before it ends and comes back to buy more items, it starts a new label for them. Therefore you can’t combine them.

I heard some sellers say whatnot keeps getting more saturated and prices keep dropping so just be careful to make sure the sales aren't trending downward aggressively. Hopefully it has leveled out as I guess sellers cant get clothing much cheaper than goodwill bins and have them be decent.

I was doing all the things correctly still. Once started selling on whatnot I stopped listing on eBay. It still makes about 2-300 a day with me not listing but I am shooting for more than that and it wasn’t working there anymore

I did finally get a sale on posh and facebook market place. Total to me $150.00. I am happier now. Give him a thumbs up and you will get a sale within 24 hours. Happens to me all the time. I don't do Whatnot. I don't want to be on camera. Heck I am almost 60 no one wants to see that. LOL.

Awesome Marcus your the man couple questions 1. It will only let me mark either men or woman clothes, but I have both, so since I have the majority of womans and / or men, which should I choose? 2. And you mark the weight in the title part I'm confused by that, wouldn't they see what the weight and shipping charge would be as the auction is running? 3. I usually just pick the category I have the most of. And I mark the weight in the title so I know which shipping to choose for the item. I’m holding the item up telling the buyer what it is so I don’t use the title or list my items. And if all 12 items are on one label, yes I would put them all in one box

Hi Marcus. Are you doing 5 shows a week with a goal of 100 pieces per show? What is the average show time? Also, pre-show prep time & shipping? Can you discuss this at one point to give an idea of the time commitment involved? Hope you are getting some bulk buy deals coming your way.

@@misslashayresells3853 yes I am. Prep time is maybe 10 mins. Average show time is 2-2.5 hours. Shipping takes 15-20 mins. So all in, about 3 and a half hours total
