Thank you for this delightful video Emma, I did enjoy it. You have made some lovely things. Every time I saw something you showed I thought "Oh, this is my favourite", then another and another. My favourite thing I have made this year is a rag quilt for my 17 year old grandson. I did it all by machine and at the end I made a label on my machine with his name, date of making the quilt and from me. I hand sewed that on. He loves it and I am happy every time I visit him and see the quilt on his bed. He told me he will treasure it forever. I love him for that.
I know you have plans for your Jane Austen and your Memory QAYG quilts. But if you ever run out of inspiration and don't want another UFO, consider combining the two. Your Jane Austin memory block would be a beautiful center with all your memory QAYG hexis all around Jane Austen. (All you'd have to do is turn Jane Austen into a mimi quilt and then attach your QAYGs around the outside.) But this is just an option since both are celebrating your memorial events. It's your designs. Just something that came to mind whilst you were talking about each. Have a wonderful, happy Christmas, too. 💖🌞🌵😷
Lovely idea Suzi, I am going to keep the QAYG as just hexagons but there will be a Jane Austen themed embellished hexagon in the quilt at some stage I am sure! Thanks for watching, have a wonderful Christmas x
I was delighted to see you again and have a look at your beautiful projects! I can’t wait for the Jane Austen kit! She is my favorite author and you are my favorite fabric artist!
Dear Emma, it is amazing to see how busy and creative you have been in 2023. I love watching your videos as you are always a great inspiration. Thank you so much for all your work and your pleasant and kind way showing your craft. I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and send you best wishes for a happy and healthy 2024.
Hi Emma, I loved seeing your beautiful projects from 2023. The hexagon wall hanging is my favourite as I can see that idea as an advent calendar with a small gift or sweet treat in each pocket! ❤. Thank you for all your videos, which are always a joy to watch, and very soothing and calming in today's fast-paced world. I wish you and your family a very merry Christmas. Enjoy this special time, and we will see you in 2024! ❤
I very much enjoyed this 2023 round-up, Emma. You have made so many beautiful things! I'm excited to see your large house pattern🎉 and extremely interested in those flower of the month blocks - they look like they will be stunning. So have a lovely Christmas with your family, Emma, and I look forward to your new ideas for 2024, God willing. Lots of love, Shirley xo
Thank you for the visual of all your creations, a wonderful pile of projects! My favourite item I made this year is a slow stitched Japanese rice bag, that I made large enough to store my small collection of Japanese fabrics. I enjoyed every minute of making it and it makes me smile each time I look at it. I look forward to whatever you get up to in the New Year! Merry Christmas.
Love your crochet blocks. I would wait to join the motifs as well. What it you run out of the reds or green? When you bring in similar roses, they could be sprinkled amongst the originals making it looked planned instead of ... Half the afghan original roses and the other half new roses. 💖🌞🌵😷
That little quilt is absolutely adorable! Slow and steady wins the race Emma. I just love your channel and I have really made use of ashmead designs. I live in the US and so I love that I can order from them. Just lovely! We also get Liberty Fabrics here at Joanne Fabrics. I purchased some when they went on sale! ❤️
So loved hearing you talk about your creations and seeing them. My favourite make of 2023 is actually something I’ve made just recently - a perpetual fabric calendar featuring slow stitch squares received from stitchy friends and fabric collage plus sone of my favourite stitches. I’ve shared a few videos showing how I made it. Cheers, Christine
I love all your creations and look forward to the New year and more EPP projects. I do have the Serious reader high definition light and simply love it. When I bought my I also received the small more portable lamp . I love it too and take it with me when we travel in our camper. Keep up the great job!
So lovely to catch up with you again Emma. I loved all your projects this year and your thoughts to take time stitching your quilt as you go hexi quilt. You have certainly taught me that the stitching and enjoying the process is the main thing without rushing to get anything finished. Enjoy the festive season and I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a very happy and healthy 2024. xx🌲
Hi Emma! Happy Christmas! You've managed to complete so many things! I've made a mostly hand pieced and hand quilted quilt for my best friend who was 50 this year, so I was glad to finish that!
In July I gathered all my UFO's together with the intention of completing one a month, this was too much pressure as life gets in the way. I think I will start a UFO notebook and take positive notes of what I have achieved and why I want to complete the projects. Firstly I will buy an A5 notebook and make a fabric cover. Many thanks for the serious reader code, both my husband and I love our lamp. Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year. Ps. Off to sew todays EPP pieces from my advent calendar.
that is a great idea, that way you will feel progress rather than pressure. I am so glad you love your Serious light, I love mine too, so great especially at this time of year. Thank you for watching Anne
I've been coveting that little sewing box with the clasp since I first saw it and a lovely cash gift this week means I can finally order it! You do such pretty work, thank you for sharing it.
I like to make a list of my WIPs (works in progress) and their different stages. That way when I'm looking for a "new" project, I can shop my stash. My Heart quilt needs some extra hand quilting in the boarder. My teddy bear quilt has appliqué ready to stitch down and hand quilting. Also a few appliqués to cut out of felt. Dish scrubbies out of toolé, there's 2 balls of "yarn" and one yard of toolé ready to stitch on the machine, then cut into "yarn" for crochet. etc. So instead of digging through my bins of WIPs I can shop my list. 💖🌞🌵😷
Your projects are all amazing Emma well Done! Such a great idea to make a list of what you have done I plan to do that for 2024. I finished a quilt that I had in the cupboard for 13 years and I am so happy that I did the quilt is beautiful just a machine pieced one but still lovely. Have a Very Happy Christmas and New Year for 2024
Ahh thank you! That’s kind. I entered it to a local gallery that is now built where I used to pick strawberries as I child, so it had meaning. That’s the only reason I entered it. I think I will frame it and put it on the wall 😊
I’m working on the grandmothers pattern from your website. I pick it up when I want a change of pace and fabrics. Slow going and i do hope to finish by the end of 2024! Thank you for another wonderful video. Merry christmas and good health to you and your family. 🎄🧵🪡 cheers from Australia
Thank you for a wonderful year of great ideas and it was fun watching all your videos Thank you have a merry christmas and a Happyu New Years all the best wishes for you in 2024
I love all your projects Emma, but the thing I love most is your attitude of “no hurry” - that is the only way to be and so rare today. I just adore your videos, and look forward to hearing about your BOM. I just love your crochet project, the flowers, the colors, love it. Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous 2024. 🎄
I enjoyed the run through, some I'd forgotten and others I hadn't seen, nice surprises and beautiful work. Really looking forward to seeing more of them in 24. Have a lovely Christmas time, peace to you and your family ✨✨
So lovely to spend time with you, Emma! I've been working on a Mabel's Garden project. May have bitten off more than I can chew, but I'm pushing on. I almost have all the hexagons sewn together but have not embroidered anything yet. I'm new to EPP and have very limited embroidery experience so this is ambitious for me! It may not be something I'll show off but I'll love it and plan to hang it in my sewing room! Thank you for all you share! Wishing you a lovely holiday break and look forward to seeing you in the new year!
I love all the beautiful things you have made this year Emma it seems rather a lot to me. I am slowly recovering from the long illness that kept me in hospital for so many months in 2022. I can walk short distances and use my hands a fair bit but have not managed to sew knit or crochet just yet. I will try to make some of your patterns if I can. Have a lovely Christmas and enjoy the season with your family. Love vera from Northern Ireland. ❤
Hi Vera, lovely to hear from you, I’ve been thinking of you. I’m so sorry you’ve been unwell. Sending positive thoughts your way for a speedy recovery, I hope you will be able to do some making soon. Take care x
You are such a wonderful inspiration to me with your stitching. This year I started a memory quilt after you showed yours and it is also shaping up to be one of my favorite things. A long way to go- but I am definitely enjoying the process!
You were very busy, with lots of beautiful projects, Emma! Love everything you showed! Looking forward to 2024, & what you will be working on! Wishing you & your family a Happy Christmas! ♥️🎄♥️🎄♥️🎄♥️
Wow! what a huge achievement Emma 🤩I have made a complete hand stitched hexie quilt as you go cover for my bed in Kaffe Fassett fabrics, as well as crochet 3 jumpers, one cardigan, knitted 10 pairs of socks, 1 crochet blanket, crochet 25 dish cloths 12 scrubby's (Xmas gifts) I hope you and your family have an amazing holiday season! Thank you for all your hard work in making these amazing vodeos, and keeping us all inspired! xxx
I’m getting back into stitching and having your lovely calm voice as I stitch is so relaxing. I love your idea for a memory quilt! It brought to mind so many memories from my life, I can’t wait to start. Thank you for sharing your ideas and inspiration. Take care
I love all your stitchy goodness. I'm interested in doing the Hexagon QAYG. What's the largest print that can go in a block? I'm guessing they finish at 3 inches but wouldn't want the print going off the edge....or would you? I just found a source for some of the lovely fairy quilt fabrics. I'm going to contact her and ask how large some of the fairies/animals are. I just love them and I like that she will sell fat quarters which is more than I need. She also has an Acufactum monthly fabric club so I need to check into that. The postage is a bit pricey but not as much as ordering from the UK. I'm going to look at my box of Hexi templates. I have several but it's been a while since I used them. I also want to check out the crochet block. Lovely video.
All of your makes are so beautiful- my favourite makes are not complete yet haha I made a massive exploding hearts quilt that just needs the binding finished, I have a few EPP quilts on the go too 😂 is there ever to many? I’ve also started pottery so I’m trying to share my time between all of my crafts but working full time really gets in the way of that haha I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas 🥰💕
Aaaawwww look at all the stuff you've done , and you say ure a slow stitcher . I really like your stuff . The Jane Austin fabric you said it was Emma , do they have material for P&P ? A very merry Christmas , may u and your family have a safe and healthy one . Here in Canada they are warning people about flue and covid going around . Take care , see u next year .
Thank you Susan. Yes they made a p and p one before the Emma one but it’s out of print now and very difficult to find unfortunately. Have a wonderful Christmas 🎄
, 🎉nice to see you and all the lovely things you have been making throughout the year. I am making a hexagon quilt for the second time hehe, it will be 9ft x 9 ft. I am doing in 2 1/2 inch hexagons, do you sell hexiform by the sheet, if so what would it cost please for the Hexiform to be able to use in the quilt please. Last time I put the quilt together before my error, I used a thick card, but after you used the Hexiform I rather liked how it finished each hexagon, thank you for sharing today,
Oh wow that’s big and will be fantastic! Yes you can buy it by the sheet from Ashmead Designs, if you contact Suzi there she will be able to give you a price 😊
@@emmajonesvintagesewingbox Thank You so much Shane you don’t have it,as it would be a bit of business for you. I did contact ashmeed before but I didn’t at the time get a response. This was about 2weeks ago,so maybe they have broken up for Xmas . With me knowing you don’t supply in that quantity I will follow it up again in the new year. I appreciate your help. Happy Christmas look foreword to your next update. Xx
@@karentoynton8948I know she has been moving house so it might be because of that. I’m sure she will get back to you if you contact again. 😊 have a great Christmas Karen
@@emmajonesvintagesewingbox I did manage to find some prices out online, I think for the size I want to do, it may work out a little expensive. So maybe I will end up going to my local craft store to see if they have anything that would do the same job, but less expensive, I think for smaller project it will be perfect. Thank you so much Emma you really have been a big help .🤣🎄🍹happy Christmas to you all.
