8:33 @SPVIDZ I just recently learned that you can change the output volumes of most of the outputs on the SP-404 MKII. Go to Shift > Utility > System > Gain and drop the gain down on the Headphones. You will then be able to raise the master volume on the SP without blowing your ears out! Coincidentally, I needed to learn this after purchasing the same Audio-Technica headphones used in this video. I used to use a set of Logitech headphones that had their own volume control, so I didn't need to know about this...

Thanks man yeah I did know about those but don't really use them. Its a bit of a pain having to go in and out of that area all the time when you are using the device for different things but I'll definitely take another look. Just cranking the volume in DaVinchi seems to do the trick but that could come in handy for my social posts etc, thanks!

Such a good idea for a video man! I find that too often these videos are so necessary but not readily available. Giving this specific information helps other creatives that want to get started and just gives an awesome view into the effort that you put into making these videos. Nice vid! Not much needed to get out and make videos on the fly. That’s what I love with the SP just hook up the USB-C and record the audio straight into the phone!

Check out Headset Buddy. I use the Mic-Line - Line-Level Audio Input Adapter for iPhone & Smartphones with 3.5mm TRRS Microphone Adapter Cable to MFi Certified Lightning Connector Dongle to record into my Iphone. Good volume while recording.

Hey there again! Since you are so much more advanced than me with the 404 I wanted to ask you a thing. Is it possible to sample a drumbeat , quantize it and being able to play it back a different Bpm but without the pitch shifting effect? I don’t like the Mickey Mouse effect and prefer to be able to alter the BPM without hearing a noticeable pitch difference

Ive sold mine. The workflow of this maschine holded me back somuch. I must say when i see videos of people making beats so fast i think how haha. I played on a mpc again and was yeah this is a real drummaschine. I personal want my idea to lay down very quick and the sp didnt do that. The effects are so good tho but not for my music.

@@spvidz yeah, was doubting to sell it a long time and although i liked it when i played it it made me realize i lost ideas quick and became just jamming with no endresults wich holded me back. Its a great maschine just not for me. Sounddesigns in cubase/ableton work way better for me with certain effects(feels like im more in control but still with a loose offbeat feeling) then i started laying drums on a mpc again and i was yeah this is more easy and productive for me. I know somuch who use it for live effects wich is awesome...but for me now not right. Still loving and enjoying your vids! Maybe one day a sp again🤟🙏

just got mine today and when i connect my iphone via the camera adapter it says the accessory is using too much power. any ideas what to do?

hmm not sure with that one sorry, I've never had that problem with the adapter I use. The only thing I can suggest is to try another USB cable if you can, maybe its that

Hi,is this 6v ripcord power cable correct? Just received one and it doesnt works for some reason. Should not it be 9V?

As i mentioned in the vid I have a 9v cord but it doesn't work with my set-up for whatever reason so I bought a 6v one and that works with my bank and the MK2. The 6v one will also power my sx and so does the 9v but the 9v doesn't work with my MK2. Confusing to say the least

@@spvidzi saw another vid about this and guy also use 6V ripcord cavle and everything works just fine. I tried three different powerbanks and it doesnt works. Did you make any changes in set up?

My friend Aroma just solve my problem. I have cable with oposite polarity -c+ and it has to be +c-! So be carefull guys. This is important!
