Indian owner here that has been thinking hard about a BMW ADV for two years. This may have changed my mind and could very well be what gets me on my first Harley. I would rather buy American, and an iconic brand like Harley, and then go see America.

Should've convinced Ewan and Charley to do Long Way Up on these bikes; would've made the series way more interesting.

Starting Price is $17320, undercutting the BMW GS 1250 base model by 675$ RiverRock paint brings it up to $17550, still under The GS starting price. Holy crap HD, you did it. You priced it right, you totally did it right. GOOD STUFF.

I'm pulling for Harley that this bike becomes a winner.

I started out on a 1970 Harley Davidson Rapido 125cc two stroke, I was 14 yrs.old then. I've owned about a dozens Harley Davidsons over the years including a 1969 Sprint 350 SS. I'm a 3 time heart attack survivor & going to be 63 yrs. old in August, I ride all year round more than ever. ( I'm grateful to be alive ) In my garage is a 2007 Ultra Classic Olive Pearl & next to it a 2018 114cc Cholo style Red Denim Oxide Heritage. A Pan America would round out my corral. ( I ride a 250cc dual purpose off road regularly & in the winter for now ) Thank you Harley Davidson. The tribute to the heritage of our company in this video is soul moving. I'm a european rider for almost 40 years. "Off road" and "adventure" bikes have a new King. I believe this bike would be the best for Europe and especially for Greece, my country. The specific segment is in our ride blood and Harley delivers great. Whith 150 hp and low rev torque plus the "less is more" philosophy is the triangle of success. Can't wait to ride it!

I am indian and iam just 20 years old boy i can't afford harley but iam a die hard fan of harley there is many bikes sports bike cruiser bike but only loved harley this company is in my heart always i always wanted harley have to make touring bike and sports bike now i have to make sports bike as well make harley glory shine in all over the world thank for making the help people to feel freedom harley mean feel the journey and roads

I'm half way through, and I'm absolutely loving the transparency and honesty, not hiding from some of the criticisms people have had, and responding to them honestly, instead of pretending that everything is sunshine and rainbows. The honesty can go a long way towards gaining new customers. Customers in 2021, are no longer naive or easily tricked by fancy wording. Being 100% transparent is how you build trust. Note: To go from 65 horsepower to 152 horsepower in the same displacement engine, while being lighter, and much, much smoother, is an incredible feat of engineering, and it's very impressive.

The competition in this segment is stacked. Good. Luck.

After the video, I immediately went to the HD website to look at price and weight of the Pan America. YES! $17,319 as a base model, $19,999 for the 'Special.' Only 503 lbs. as a base model too. This bike will be competitive against BMW, KTM and others. I am very excited about this bike!

Looks like a winner!. Just thinking of moving to an adventure bike after this Summer. I live in Europe, I bet if the PanAm turns out to be reliable, it will attract lots of non HD riders to HD. Now expand the HD ine up beyound the traidtional HD cruisers to start attracting younger people with decent priced faster and agile machines.

I got out of ADV bikes 3 years ago. Looks like I’m about to jump back in. Absolutely love everything I’m seeing here. The specs seem to check all the boxes. The challenge will be finding a dealer that doesn’t mark them 10%+ over MSRP.

OOOOOOHHHHHH Man , i cant wait to straddle one of these bad ass bikes ... my Road King may have a friend in the garage soon!

Very excited to see this. I remember back in high school wanting that Baja 125 bike for my first motorcycle ( I didn't get it and instead a Bultaco Matador). Now 50 years later I may finally get that Harley off road bike I wanted, possibly for my last bike. Ironic. Good luck to you Harley on this venture (and future ones too)!

Harley stepping into the 21st century? This bike looks beautiful and is priced well compared to the competition. I hope they don't go down without a fight.

I test rode this bike last week, as part of an exclusive dealers only demo ride event... H-D had a BMW, KTM, and Ducati ADV motorcycle there as well and we test rode those three first... Each competitor left me unsatisfied in one way shape or form... Then I test rode the Pan Am special last and I gotta say... H-D hit the mark on everything for me. This bike is everything that I hoped for and then some!!! Handles like a dream... State of the art cutting edge tech as well... I'm the proud owner of a 2018 FLTRXS but I can say without a doubt, I'm definitely going to buy the Pan Am special... Already have one on reserve!!!! Here's to a new chapter

Just plopped down my $100 to have a first look. My R1200GS is seriously nervous. IMHO this is a major game changer for H-D, and I hope the beginning of a real revival of the bikes and the brand!

This is great! Change can be uncomfortable, but sometimes it is needed.

Glad to see this American brand stepping into modern motorcycling. Also, they did a good job not pricing themselves out of the segment.

Left my Road Glide behind for a Sportster S last year. Fun bike but I just couldn’t sit on it to go far enough. Replaced with the Pan America Special 4 days ago and simply loving this ride. Great job guys and looking forward to this new chapter

O...M...G...this is the very first Harley-Davidson, that I like the look of and if she performs as well as she looks, the Pan America will hopefully be the first Harley I ever buy....if I can afford one, that is :)

my first ride on a motorcycle was on an unpaved road as there were no paved country roads...I was 4 years old at that time and it was my uncle Bob who picked me up and set me on the gas tanks of his brand new 1954 50th anniversary hydra glide pan head all in white paint and white leather and white leather fringe around the dual white leather seat and white leather bags ...and then my uncle Bob says " hang on boy it's going to get rough " and we proceeded to drifting the clay county back roads of clay and park counties of Indiana especially in the creek bottoms of clay dirt roads that follow the curvy paths of raccoon creek of a clay sandy mix surface just like a mile flat track ..so mot only did I get my 1st motorcycle experience on a Harley I also found out what its like sideways at 60mph on dirt and was instantly addicted to the adrenaline rush that follows that only a motorcycle with a twisted throttle on dirt will supply...I priestly own a 2009 mirage orange XR1200 ...1St mod as all my Harleys of my past a pair of Ohlins piggy back gas reservoir rear shocks with 20 rebound and compression settings that gives you 39 ways to get it wrong ..but once you'r dialed in , you'r dialed into adventure riding like you only thought you knew sbout ! HARLEY-DAVIDSON GOT YOUR EARS ON ? have you seen what big bear performance does for the suspension for road kings and dynas?? bigbearperformance.com/product/ohlins-inverted-front-end-assembly/ its top of the line suspension known world wide as there is no better than Ohlins ....if you are going to develop your dirt glide into the best you should already be cutting a deal with Ohlins for the very next upgrade of this under suspended off road touring platform ...and loose the "Bender Headlight" , along with that whole front fairing thing going on there that reminds me of the hood of a 1957 sears and roebuck riding lawnmower

In Canada and America there’s something about owning a Harley Davidson. I think the Pan Am will do well and turn a little profit for this year. But it’s a long road for HD to ride back into the green, but maybe this is the beginning

I don't own a Harley (yet) but I am a cheerleader of American manufacturing, especially for our well established US companies like Harley. I want them to win. I have to admit, I'm impressed and I'm hopeful for their future. This looks really great! Well done video too :)
