Next week I’ll be married! It feels a little overwhelming at the moment, but I’m so excited for this new adventure - I will share an update on things soon ❤️🌸 my video next week will be a little late coming due to festivities. I'm the same way whenever I go hiking. I call myself a "slow hiker", because I stop and look at *everything*, and I find so much beauty and wonder in every tree, every log, every patch of moss or mushroom! I always wind up taking way too many photos, and end up deleting most of them. But it's such an enjoyable and peaceful hobby for me, and I'll never give it up. I find it hard to relate to people who hike just to go as fast as possible, or they just make a lot of noise and talk loudly the whole time and completely miss all the wonder and beauty around them.

this channel has inspired me over the past 2 years. I started watching this channel when I was 16, and it always brought me peace and helped me feel less overwhelmed. it influenced me to invest my time in mindful activities and focus on living well in times I felt alone and disconnected during the pandemic. I decided after watching your channel that I needed to somehow find a way to put myself in a peaceful environment and enjoy activities mindfully and overall take care of myself. I started going over to my grandma's 2 times a week which is a decision I am glad I made. We would cook for hours, for our family members, her neighbors, and even the stray cats. I would drop the food off contactless at family members and neighbors, and I only ever spent time outside of my home with my grandma and grandpa. Outside their home is a garden she and my grandpa spent 10 years building by themselves that surrounds the property. In the morning, my grandma and I would garden together for hours, and I felt this rewarding sense of happiness of just spending quality time with family and being fully engaged in just taking care of the garden, cats, and home. Sometimes I would ask them to teach me the hobbies they did as children such as ceramics and painting. After we would get tired, we would sit outside in the garden and talk, they would tell me their stories, and lessons, and we talked about trivial things, yet those conversations made very happy memories that I am so glad I had. The warm sunlight, the slight breeze, and letting neighbors sit in the garden/pick fruits, were all very small things that I made sure to express gratitude for. You talking about how investing time in doing things you did as a kid, to discover what you love and happiness, reminded me of how my grandparents built their garden to replicate the prairie they lived in before escaping war and how much joy they have in their faces when they talk about the flowers and trees they've grown and planted. I felt the same joy I felt during summer as a kid spending time with them. It made me grateful because I always overlooked family, was always dependent on friends for happiness and things to do before the lockdown, but never looked at the more mindful activities I could do for myself which would make such a huge difference. Your videos helped me learn to love and spend time with myself as if I were my own friend. Since life resumed, I have grown, to focus on my values and living accordingly to them, behaving from a place of compassion and gratitude, being around people I value, taking care of myself, and investing in hobbies that bring me joy. I changed a lot since I started using your videos as a way to reflect on myself, and how I can slow down and just notice the small things at times I feel like I am unhappy or overwhelmed. The valuable time spent with my grandma and grandpa, gardening, learning her recipes, and taking care of the stray cats that love her garden as well brought me the same relaxing peace your videos have brought to me when I was feeling down during the pandemic. It is crazy how much your channel impacted me so much. Now that life has a sort of resume, I am now becoming an adult, about to graduate, and have been busy navigating through the process of living on my own soon. I have been practicing doing these things on my own, gardening, hiking, and making new recipes and crafts. This is long but after seeing this video it left me reflecting on how much I have grown with gratitude and learned emotionally, since 2020. It reminded me how much your channel was a fresh breath of air and how much I miss gardening and spending my time with my grandparents last summer. Your videos helped me develop a love for spending quality time in nature and I am thinking about doing work exchange on farms across Europe this summer to live, eat and travel for free while exploring. I've been subscribed to your channel for a couple years. Due to toxic relationships I lost my child like wonder for a while. I would always be so fascinated with the smallest things (for example I would always find this tiny fly called the wooly aphids and catch them talk to them and let them go) I was mocked and told that I was embarrassing and stupid. I hid that part of me for so long. Your channel is helping me embrace my inner child again. I'm no longer in a relationship and have a young daughter whom I cannot wait to play with. I will never grow up I love who I am and thank you for reminding me.

When I was young, my mom prepared morel mushrooms for us. She'd wash them, cut them in half, dredge them through scrambled eggs, then coat them in cracker crumbs. Once prepared, she'd then fry the mushrooms in very hot melted butter. She'd cook it until the eggs are cooked. This is a pleasure.

I've been watching Paola's videos for 2 years now, and I gotta say. As much as a refuge as they can be from the stressful world, I'm finding myself feeling down the more I watch. Where I live there is a major housing crisis, gas costs 6$, groceries are unaffordable. I work 9-5 as a salaried scientist and I can barely stay afloat. Watching Paola inherit an affordable house from Luke's parents, on a retail salary, have land, animals, and be able to live outside of the 9-5 makes me so jealous. I wish I could just move and embrace a similar life, but without money and a privileged partner I can't. I'm inspired but also discouraged. Anyways, probably didn't need to comment this but it did make me feel better. Best of luck to all.

What a beautiful place! I moved into my current spot 8 months ago and have been having a similar experience identifying all the abundant plants around here. I keep having moments where I make a mental note to plant something or other, and then as if by magic I find it already growing here that same day.
