About South Park: South Park is the Emmy and Peabody-award winning animated series co-created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone about four boys living in one screwed-up Colorado mountain town. Between local and global tragedies, as well as parental and celebrity interference, Kyle, Stan, Cartman, and Kenny manage to have themselves a time.

EXT. STARK'S POND - DAY, BUT MOODY
Stan is sitting side view in a wide shot of the edge of
Stark's Pond.
As the song plays, the camera just tracks in very slowly.
Finally, Kyle appears, walking in from frame left. He
stares at Stan, who doesn't see him, then turns and walks
away.
Then front view- Stan's been staring at a flower. But it's
not a flower, it's a turd on a flower stem- Gently blowing
in the wind.
INT. STAN'S KITCHEN - DAY
Mom is sadly Packing up things into moving boxes.
INT. STAN'S ROOM - DAY
Stan's dad is sitting next to Stan on his bed. Fake some
lip flap on Randy - he's explaining to him that his mom and
he have grown apart. Stan just stares at the floor. Randy
puts his arm around his son and tries to comfort him.
EXT. STAN'S HOUSE - DAY
A Realtor is putting a 'FOR SALE' sign up in front of
Stan's house.
EXT. NEIGHBORHOOD STREET - DAY
A UHAUL driving away from Stan's house.
INT. UHAUL - DAY
Randy is driving the UHAUL.
Randy looks in the rearview mirror. He thinks.
INT. STAN'S NEW HOME - DAY
Sharon and Stan are in an apartment with some open moving
boxes still around. She hands Stan a box.
EXT. STAN'S NEW HOME - BACKYARD - DAY
Stan is on a lone swing in his new backyard. It's a fairly
high angle shot, and from the shadows it seems Stan is
staring at the sun.
Stan's POV - The sun is a beaming piece of shit.
INT. SCHOOL CAFETERIA - DAY
Stan is sitting at the cafeteria with his lunch tray in
front of him. Everyone else in the shot is a piece of
shit.
EXT. RANCHER'S HOUSE - NIGHT
SLOW MOTION SHOT - With some police lights flashing from
cop cars, Policemen are loading the stolen britches into
the back of the car as the Rednecks try to rescue them - as
if it's their kids being taken.
Tears are flowing down the rednecks' faces as they have
arms outstretched towards the poor britches, but police
block them. There's nothing they can do.
INT. KYLE'S HOUSE - DAY
BOOM UP OVER THE TV - Kyle and Cartman are sitting together
on Kyle's couch, playing XBOX.
EXT. SOUTH PARK AVENUE - DAY
Stan sadly walking sideview down the sidewalk with his
hands in his pockets.
He passes Duck President.
Stan stops - thinks for a seconds then turns around-
Duck President turns his head back to Stan and lets out on
loud QUACK with shit coming out-
Some shit hits Stan's face and duck President keeps
walking.
INT. STAN'S NEW BEDROOM - DAY
Overhead shot of Stan staring at the ceiling.
Fade to Black.
The End

@@jadsi Yeah I liked Family Guy a lot. Then after years of South Park, Family Guy really shows how 14yrs old it really is. I mean, it's still amusing. But explaining the jokes right after the jokes ruins it. Like the "Please pass the jelly!" cutaway. He stops to explain the joke. The "men are better than women" jokes. I want to share my personal story/experience with this episode... This episode was the mid-season finale of South Park's fifteenth season. It aired when I was finishing up my eighth grade year of school and getting ready to go to high school. South Park has very much been a show that I have grown up with, as it first aired the year after I was born, and I have been watching it since I was pretty young. Being at a transitional time in my life, going from middle school to high school and becoming a young adult, this episode was very emotional for me to watch. Not to mention, this was the last South Park we had for about four months, and South Park was not even renewed past the fifteenth season at that point, so I was left thinking the show had only seven more episodes when it came back. I am glad that the show has continued to go on and that I have continued to grow with it. I realize that Matt and Trey will eventually have to end it someday, but I find it comforting that the show is still on the air. But this episode was pretty emotional when it came out. I also want to say, I consider myself the number one South Park fan in the world! Thank you, South Park (you've been there).

The air around you feels like lead, all light is dim, all colors are grey, and if you manage to laugh, you still question the genuity of that laugh. You want to cry, but you don't even feel sad enough to do so. You are so tired, all you want to do is sleep, but you can't even fall asleep. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about. I remember when I first saw this episode when it was new I honestly thought this was the final season. Stan moving out and no longer being friends with Kyle and the gang, Kyle and Cartman actually smiling at each other because they are genuine friends, and Randy divorcing Sharon. I thought the second half of the season was going to continue from this story and end the series. Instead when the second half of the season had finally started they went a completely direction and I guess nowadays Stan has to always drink before hanging out with his friends. There is no known cure for being a cynical asshole.

I’ve never seen an episode that perfectly encapsulates what depression feels like. Nothing brings you joy anymore. Happiness is a foreign concept that you only have fleeting memories of. Things that should make you smile bring no reaction whatsoever. Sights, sounds, smells; they all are equally worthless to you. One thing that they didn’t touch upon enough was this: often, when you get the chance to experience happiness, you don’t take it. Not because you don’t want to. It’s a combination of your brain forgetting how to naturally produce enough serotonin and other neurotransmitters associated with positivity and the objective line of thinking you have that good things never last. You’re so used to feeling bleak and hopeless that the thought of joy seems absurd and even scary at times. And you believe it beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Pretty good way to describe being depressed. I remember being in the army thinking everything was shit, being so happy to come home, then leaving and thinking everything was shit at home. It’s hard not to be a douche when literally everything around you bugs the fuck out of you.

I think this one really hit home for alot of viewers. Being high functioning autistic is both a blessing and a curse for me. I could see things logically from a young age, much like Stan in this episode. But the down side is, everything looks, sounds and smells like 💩.

I just watched this for the first time a few minutes ago and I was not expecting it to hit so hard. I just had one of the worst weeks of my life and I can very recently relate to Stan’s state of mind and attitude. I start therapy this Saturday and things have been better in recent days, so things are looking brighter. Props to South Park for simultaneously having one of the most juvenile AND most poignant portrayals of depression. I love this show.

SP is a time loop due to Kenny constantly dying. Like a rewind button. Kyle is pretty aware hence he acts older than the rest. Kyle found out by reading the existence books in the Tooth Fairy episode. Stan had a taste of that here but somehow regressed.

I remember watching this episode, and I felt like Stan at that moment, my parents were going through a separation crisis and finally divorced last year (yeah as if 2020 wasn’t bad already). My heart became more hardened and I became more depressed and cynical. Hell, I even yelled “SHUT UP” in my class one time just like Stan and the song they used almost made me cry in front of my friend while watching the episode.

Life just doesn’t feel like it’s worth living anymore, because nothing makes you feel happy anymore, friends become white noise, nobody wants to spend time with you, music that once made you so happy now makes you feel empty, games that once brought such joy are now boring and forgettable How can you go on when nothing makes it worthwhile
