I was there in NRG stadium. On the TV screen all over the stadium English translation of each and every sentence Modi ji said was appearing on the screen just as you see movies with English subtitles. Only when he said everything is fine is so many Indian Languages , the translator couldn't understand and for a while the screen was with two words "foreign language" and Trump and other senators looked so confused . But when Modi ji explained , they laughed. Watch the expression on Trump's face at 7:55 and then at 8:04.
