nope it’s supposed to sound like that it sounds like she is using a scale that is tweaked or abnormal but it fits right in w the hook ... i listened to it high n it changed my life ... the first time i heard it i was sober but the song overall is amazing the production is insane
It's intentional lol. Look up Wanna Be Me by Young Thug. The vocals and beat are different keys but that's what gives the song its sound. I think Based Cerebral by Lil B also has contrasting keys playing at once.
I came here thinking wiki (whom I love solo) was going to fuck it up somehow (by clashing vocally, timbre-wise, like the song he did with Dev Hynes) but no, it works -- the music, vocals, everything. I'm downloading.
Grace Jones actually *covered Nightclubbing FYI. It's an Iggy Pop song. Recorded and co-written with David Bowie and features on the Iggy album 'The Idiot'. Admittedly the two songs don't sound that similar. Grace's cover was a fantastic reworking of the original. But all the same. Self Parm Esan Finally someone else also notices.I appreciate their vibe and what they were trying to achieve but the end result just..isn’t it.What killed it for me was female singer.Shes so off key it ruins the song tbh.I thought maybe it was just me so I even sang her parts myself and it itÿsounded even worse lol..It’s just sad that nobody caught it beforehand.
not gon lie , the vocals fit with the delivery of the hook it just sounds off from the jump ... but if you listen to trip hop / reggae / psychedelic music you’d hear much influence... but you just gotta listen closely. it’s beautiful really
