It's the Banjo-Kazooie randomizer! In this series, Michael Jones and Matt Bragg are tackling another Nintendo 64 classic in a way they've never seen before. In the Banjo-Kazooie randomizer, every world leads to a different world. Item and enemy spawns are all mixed up. Gruntilda is locked behind a door that needs 98 jiggies to open. It's absolute chaos.

I really love the randomizer videos. Highly recommend running a RE1 randomizer playthrough. There's one where even the rooms are randomized. AND/OR A dark souls randomizer run would be fantastic.

It's funny I recently watched through the playthrough Michael did on his channel of this game nearly 10 years ago which is scary to think but my god how he has changed in that time. the energy in that video was like 100000% like he just snorted a line of G-Fuel and now hes so chill lol

53:45 Each "entry" leads to a random "exit" - as in "entering this transition leads you to this exit"... that exit doesn't have to be the previously used entry. ALTTP rando has the same thing, which is called "crosskeys" if you also randomize dungeon keys to ANY chest.

Matt and Michael, if you guys like this, you should seriously consider Dark Souls 1 randomizer. Its genuinely so fun. Every fog wall, item and enemy is randomized, even bosses. It sounds like hell but it's actually pretty likely you'll get a good drop early in my experience. You can choose to randomize the Key items or not as well, which can be fun. Definitely should be Matt-tested though!

I know I'm super late, but places like the tree and house entrances in Freezeezy have to be static or else it would mess with certain essential cutscenes, NPC placements, etc. involved in actually getting jiggies. Their exit points are non-essential so you're more likely to spawn somewhere random than to get the correct exit point

So happy Michael did the banjo kazooie randomizer. i loved his playthru of banjo and since he really likes the game figured the randomizer might be quite fun for him since he knows basically everything about the game, would bring a bit fun by making it so he has to do things in a different way. judging from this ep seems like he really did enjoy it vs the other randomizers seeing as he is a huge fan of banjo kazooie

I rented this game once, but Banjo Tooie was the one I owned and played a bunch. I wouldn't be surprised if this game is overall better, but Tooie had things like remembering your music notes and revisiting levels.

the exit of the level should still match the entrance of the level IMO; if you enter Click Clock Wood via a treasure chest, then you should leave Click Clock Wood via the same treasure chest, not Click Clock Wood's actual exit. You can just abuse the current way it is to get to levels that don't have their entrance randomized, or something like only 3 or 4 levels before it loops and you have to go in another entrance for a different loop.

This is just a guess but BubbleGloop Swamp and Mad Monster Mansion might be vanilla because you have to leave the levels as the transformations to collect and unlock stuff
