This was the first sermon i ever listened to. It was randomly recommended on my you tube timeline. I clicked on to it. From then on my life changed. Its been almost two years and all I can say is that with God, nothing is random. God healed me from anxiety and depression, I am a new creation. He has blessed me in ways I never thought possible! God is good, He never gave up on me. This is MY TESTIMONY! I thought I should come back to where it all started and say thank you to Pastor Serah Roberts and Elevation Church. God truly used you to save me. Thank you Jesus!

Everything must go. The pain, the exhaustion, the insecurities, fear, laziness, sadness, depression, lack of hope, the stress, the fear of the unknown, the of belief, the confusion, the lack of life, the fear of confrontation, the blind loyalty…all of it must GO!
I know from experience that calling "godly fire" over your life tends to result in troubles and chaos as God proceeds to rip out every evil thing in your life and bring you to repentance. This is what's lacking in these type of preachers sermons, no repentance in the so called church today, we've become ignorant and just say things because it sounds powerful and cool without really understanding what the words mean.

2nghts ago, I had to asked God the same question, I couldn't sleep till early hours of morning. It was a very bad experience. I had struggled but I didn't know what actually was bothering me but I couldn't sleep. Everything must Go now in Jesus name
I listened to this sermon in the pits of my addiction and I made the decision to change my life in the middle of listening to this. God moved ans I went to treatment and sought God and held on to the promises in this message. It's been 2 years now and I now have the life I prayed for that day. I have my child back, my own home and an amazing fiancé who is a man of God. Thank you for being the vessel and bringing forth the word and promises of God through Jesus Christ. This word changed my life !
Don't isolate yourself. There are people who have been through what you might be facing right now and they overcame it. Don't push people away, surround yourself with people who are spiritually mature and get the help that you need. Isolation when you are in pain and don't know if there's a way out is dangerous and that's why we have suicide cases. Listen, there's nothing that you can be facing that God is not able to solve for with God nothing is impossible. Hold on. Jesus loves you.

Wow! This is the 1st time I heard Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts. I was taken with her style of preaching. She doesn't wait for applause or affirmation from the crowd. GOD has already given her the "Go" and that's all she needs. Her message, Everything must go, has personally ministered to me. Bishop Jakes must be soo proud of his daughter for the work she does for the Lord. I'm sure Elevation was tremendously blessed by her too.
Read up on her past and you will truly see how good and merciful GOD is. She didn’t let bad choices STOP her in her tracks, she has had an angel by her side blessing her steps. I love her real essence.
This video had me to my knees and crying.....suffering comes in all ways...I am a single mother and I blame no one but myself..It is hard but the lord has been God to me. I have cried in embarrassment shame and dishonor to my family. They accepted me and never left my side. My father took care of me, and my mother helped me without ceasing, my grandmother loved me and encouraged me ,and my sister felt my pain and never left my side...even in the delivery room! My grandmother, my rock died and life was not the way I thought it was going to be....Raising a son is hard...I had to cover him and teach him how to be a man...when I didn't have a husband covering me and I was jealous of all the love I saw. What did I do wrong...sin....love....It COST.. I realized that through this experience I grew strong.....God supplied all my needs 10x over and over and over again. What I did not have for my son..God gave me through my dad, brother in law and cousin....and the positive men in his life.....Let me tell you I had to surrender everything to God.....I had nothing left in me...BUT GOD! I prayed and I prayed and others prayed for me.....My son is my pride and joy! God saw fit to make him sensitive to the word....God saw him fit to be an amazing athlete...God saw it fit to give him a scholarship ...to pay the money I cannot pay! God saw it fit to give him mighty words of prophecy to be a MAN of GOD!!! I have a testimony.....the story is not finished yet. I HAVE A TESTIMONY!!! For when I thought my life was over....for when I thought everyone was going to talk about my me and my fatherless son, for when I thought we would be outcasted....for when I thought my life was over...My God has made my agony my greatest testimony!!!!! My son has achieved success ...we stood side by side in our victories....we stood side by side in his defeats...we stood side by side in prayer...without his father he has accomplished what some children could not with 2 parents...I have wiped many tears...I have wiped many of his tears.....as a mother when your child hurts YOU HURT MORE....but my God the season now I wipe tears of joy joy joy joy... I scream it to the mountains tops....God is no respecter of person....he did it for me and he will do it for you! I look back and think my God.....you have done so much for me.....soooo much for me....when I have the nerve to get upset....I think of his favor over my life...over my son's life......we have gone to far to turn back! Through the agony you will find your biggest testimony...my heart pours out to single parents and fatherless children....and people in pain For I have experienced a share of pain.....my heart is sensitive......I have paid a price......but my THANKSGIVING AND PRAISE is bountiful...THANK YOU JESUS THANK YOU JESUS for the slay...for I would have not experienced the necessity to praise! My story is not over yet for my spirit is full...God has more in store for me.

How about when he used a donkey to speak to man because man was going astray? How about when in the new testament when Jesus was speaking to the Pharasees and asked them if they had never heard what David did when he and his men were at war, Jesus said they went into the temple and ate the consecrated bread which was for priests because that is what needed to be done. So God uses whom he needs to use to fulfill His purpose and it won't always be what is expected. If people are saved and being helped then Amen.

I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent” (1 Timothy 2:11-12). In the church, God assigns different roles to men and women. This is a result of the way mankind was created and the way in which sin entered the world (1 Timothy 2:13-14). God, through the apostle Paul, restricts women from serving in roles of teaching and/or having spiritual authority over men. This precludes women from serving as pastors over men, which definitely includes preaching to them, teaching them publicly, and exercising spiritual authority over them. There are many objections to this view of women in pastoral ministry. A common one is that Paul restricts women from teaching because in the first century, women were typically uneducated. However, 1 Timothy 2:11-14 nowhere mentions educational status. If education were a qualification for ministry, then the majority of Jesus’ disciples would not have been qualified. A second common objection is that Paul only restricted the women of Ephesus from teaching men (1 Timothy was written to Timothy, the pastor of the church in Ephesus). Ephesus was known for its temple to Artemis, and women were the authorities in that branch of paganism-therefore, the theory goes, Paul was only reacting against the female-led customs of the Ephesian idolaters, and the church needed to be different. However, the book of 1 Timothy nowhere mentions Artemis, nor does Paul mention the standard practice of Artemis worshipers as a reason for the restrictions in 1 Timothy 2:11-12. A third objection is that Paul is only referring to husbands and wives, not men and women in general. The Greek words for “woman” and “man” in 1 Timothy 2could refer to husbands and wives; however, the basic meaning of the words is broader than that. Further, the same Greek words are used in verses 8-10. Are only husbands to lift up holy hands in prayer without anger and disputing (verse 8)? Are only wives to dress modestly, have good deeds, and worship God (verses 9-10)? Of course not. Verses 8-10 clearly refer to all men and women, not just husbands and wives. There is nothing in the context that would indicate a narrowing to husbands and wives in verses 11-14. Yet another objection to this interpretation of women in pastoral ministry is in relation to women who held positions of leadership in the Bible, specifically Miriam, Deborah, and Huldah in the Old Testament. It is true that these women were chosen by God for special service to Him and that they stand as models of faith, courage, and, yes, leadership. However, the authority of women in the Old Testament is not relevant to the issue of pastors in the church. The New Testament Epistles present a new paradigm for God’s people-the church, the body of Christ-and that paradigm involves an authority structure unique to the church, not for the nation of Israel or any other Old Testament entity. Similar arguments are made using Priscilla and Phoebe in the New Testament. In Acts 18, Priscilla and Aquila are presented as faithful ministers for Christ. Priscilla’s name is mentioned first, perhaps indicating that she was more prominent in ministry than her husband. Did Priscilla and her husband teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to Apollos? Yes, in their home they “explained to him the way of God more adequately” (Acts 18:26). Does the Bible ever say that Priscilla pastored a church or taught publicly or became the spiritual leader of a congregation of saints? No. As far as we know, Priscilla was not involved in ministry activity in contradiction to 1 Timothy 2:11-14. In Romans 16:1, Phoebe is called a “deacon” (or “servant”) in the church and is highly commended by Paul. But, as with Priscilla, there is nothing in Scripture to indicate that Phoebe was a pastor or a teacher of men in the church. “Able to teach” is given as a qualification for elders, but not for deacons (1 Timothy 3:1-13;Titus 1:6-9). The structure of 1 Timothy 2:11-14 makes the reason why women cannot be pastors perfectly clear. Verse 13 begins with “for,” giving the “cause” of Paul’s statement in verses 11-12. Why should women not teach or have authority over men? Because “Adam was created first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived” (verses 13-14). God created Adam first and then created Eve to be a “helper” for Adam. The order of creation has universal application in the family (Ephesians 5:22-33) and in the church. The fact that Eve was deceived is also given in 1 Timothy 2:14 as a reason for women not serving as pastors or having spiritual authority over men. This does not mean that women are gullible or that they are all more easily deceived than men. If all women are more easily deceived, why would they be allowed to teach children (who are easily deceived) and other women (who are supposedly more easily deceived)? The text simply says that women are not to teach men or have spiritual authority over men because Eve was deceived. God has chosen to give men the primary teaching authority in the church. Many women excel in gifts of hospitality, mercy, teaching, evangelism, and helps. Much of the ministry of the local church depends on women. Women in the church are not restricted from public praying or prophesying (1 Corinthians 11:5), only from having spiritual teaching authority over men. The Bible nowhere restricts women from exercising the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12). Women, just as much as men, are called to minister to others, to demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), and to proclaim the gospel to the lost (Matthew 28:18-20;Acts 1:8; 1 Peter 3:15). God has ordained that only men are to serve in positions of spiritual teaching authority in the church. This is not because men are necessarily better teachers or because women are inferior or less intelligent (which is not the case). It is simply the way God designed the church to function. Men are to set the example in spiritual leadership-in their lives and through their words. Women are to take a less authoritative role. Women are encouraged to teach other women (Titus 2:3-5). The Bible also does not restrict women from teaching children. The only activity women are restricted from is teaching or having spiritual authority over men. This precludes women from serving as pastors to men. This does not make women less important, by any means, but rather gives them a ministry focus more in agreement with God’s plan and His gifting of them.

I have been listening to this sermon for the last month almost every day. Each time I get a different message. God is telling me “everything “ must go ( poverty,inconsistency, insecurities, obesity, ignorance). It must go in the name of Jesus.

Something about that message really resonated with me. Personally, I can’t afford to be connected to inner spirit that brings out that side of me. I’m letting that go and filling it with something better. 🙏🏾 I say this after making countless disconnections. We are inherently toxic in our own ways which is why we need Jesus and to show each other love versus canceling one another like TV seasons. The grace God has given us....completely unmerited yet we have it fully. We need to extend that same grace to others

Sara Jakes Roberts, if you’re reading this comment know this is the absolute best sermon that I still listen to in July 2022 and get chills each time! The anointing that was placed on you this peculiar day was such a blessing to me. The first time that I listen to it was in 2019 and knew I was in a situation that i should have walked away but I stayed. As of May 2021 , I finally said EVERYTHING MUST GO. But sad because by this time , I had lost everything family, friendships, my home, my finances and even myself. I would cry out , How did i get here? I knew how… deep down inside I knew. It was because I allowed someone, to control and break my spirits . I wasn’t praying and focused on my blessings anymore!! So by putting a relationship before GOD, He strip me of everything, to get my attention! And when I was sick of living a life I wasn’t used to, but settled, I cried out to HIM. Walking away, never going back was the best thing I could do! Doors started to open for me to take care of myself like I had before that crazy relationship. I've been binge watching Pastor Sarah for the last couple weeks and was pleasantly surprised to see that she'd just preached at Elevation. It's almost 2am but when I saw this, I got comfortable and pressed play. Pastor Sarah is Real, Relatable and definitely a Woman of God. She went to work at Elevation and waged war on the enemy!!! Pastor Steven has been inviting some awesome people to preach!!!

I am at that point of hopelessness and I feel like I have nothing left to offer this life. But this word has reminded me that God spoke to me back then and told me that I will do great things for Him. I can't imagine how I will get there from where I am but I will trust that this process of breaking me down is to make me a firm foundation for His work. Dnt give up I kno a lil of wat you're going through from experience but God healed me and made me better and he can do the same for you. When I was in that place I prayed, read the Bible, spoke with someone dat i knew was gounded in their faith, and even went to see a psychologist I just asked God to lead me to the right one. With the combination of all those things working together im living proof dat there's light at the end of the tunnel. Fast and pray and focus on your relationship with God. He has not give us the this spirit of fear but of power!!! Seek him, tell him to keep you in every way, and hide yourself in his arms he'll give you the peace you need 🙏💖
Want to know how to get rid of insomnia? Start praying when you cant sleep and watch how the devil will start to back off. He's gonna realize "well I'll be damned (pun intended) I'm just giving her more time to connect to God, to talk to Him, to learn of His word! Nah ima have to back off. Shes putting in overtime." Look up the word "peace" in your bible app and start to DECLARE those verses over your life. Speak that peace IN JESUS NAME!!!

@@tiamo726 Don't give up hope! I was struggling with that and pornography not even two days ago the Lord delivered me. I will pray for you sister, that the Lord would meet you in a divine way, because the hunger that I once had for those things vanished as quickly as it came and I know it's only God through His Holy Spirit. It is possible! Don't give up! I would also encourage you to admit to God that at this moment, this is the desire that you want. Be honest with Him. I know I have been guilty of trying to speak to Him in a way that I think He wants to hear me speak and ask for deliverance in a way that I think sounds good and eloquent. But when I laid it all down before Him and told Him "God, I will be honest. Right now I want to do all the bad things and I feel powerless to stop myself. I am sorry but unfortunately right now, I want this more than You, I know I am prioritizing this more than You. But I know this is not what You want for me. HELP!" Sometimes we feel ashamed to admit to God the things we are feeling, as though He doesn't already know, but it feels shameful when we consciously and willingly present ourselves in front of Him; I know I felt ashamed showing Him my disgusting desires. But that is how we surrender to Him and allow Him to remove those things that must go, just like Sarah said. Love you, sister, or brother I am not sure, praying the Lord will continue to encourage You.
Yesss you can do it!! I just recently let go of someone that I loved deeply, but it was only one sided and a HUGE distraction. With God you can let go. He has so much more in store for us. You can do it! God bless! x
This truly blessed me! I had just started coming back to my faith after like 3 months where I had distanced myself from God. I couldn’t understand why I was pulling away from God. I went from going to small groups, sitting in traffic worshiping and praying and reading devotions daily to just no time for Him. As of this past month, I have started making him a priority again. Thank you so much for this message! My faith and hope had been brushed aside but God is never far and though life got busy, His blessings never ceased.
Last year, on the onset of the pandemic, I almost became an agnostic. God let me feel so disconnected to Him so He could pull me. He remove the doubt in my heart so He can fill me with faith. His reckless love chased me. Now, I'm discipling again--- back on track, all by the grace of God.
I have been a walking zombie for weeks. Went to church on Monday for counselling. I wasn't sure it had worked. She is using the same words i was using on that day. Disconnect, comprehension, isolation. Even the song that i cant seem to get off my mind since, reckless love. This sermon has touched me in ways that countless sessions of counselling would never have. God bless you Sarah

It's comforting that Pastor Steven and his amazing guest pastors have the ability to bring God's word to us in such realistic and practical ways that make us feel as though they are speaking directly to us and our needs. Wow...listening to this sermon for the third or fourth time. Didnt even know I had commented. Today, I listen from a different place. Today I remember where I was then and the only thing that always comes to mind is, 'But God....'
May every sad histories, vicious cycles and anything that God hates or makes the Holy Spirit sad go away from my life in the precious name of Jesus Lord.

About a month ago I woke up in the middle of the night, and my heart flooded with feelings of pain and hurt about the dream I had just had. It was so vivid, I felt everything. The dream was about "Everything Must Go" those were the actual words I heard. Thank you for clarifying my dream. I cannot believe what I have just watched and listened to.
