I feel like in most of the important parts of volume eight nora really f****** carried the show on her shoulders she definitely should have been the winter maiden in my opinion. (Even before volume eight in all serious moments nora tends to shine through, or have the best reasoning, motivation, drive, etc and even if she's feeling down or weaker she's still forces herself to push forward and overcome whereas most of the other characters either cave, throw in the towel on their beliefs/reasoning, or straight up run away). On top of that she doesn't hesitate to put the need of others before herself. No matter how hard it may be or how permanently it could affect her, (this was proven mentally by her leaving Ren, and physically when she took out that wall). and yes giving her the powers would have made her struggle more but I think she could really have developed and handled it, while still remaining true to herself and being the super badass queen of the castle that we all know and love, thus giving the show further depth. They missed a GOLDEN and unique opportunity with her. And what I HATE is that they gave so many little teasers that they were leading up to her getting the winter maiden powers and then they just stereotypically chose f****** winter, if they didn't go to Nora I wouldn't have mind it as much if it had gone to someone else like Weiss,(which is still kind of stereotypical but she is fairly qualified for it, and that could also bring a lot to the show). Winter really did NOT deserve it as much as the others around her, (if at all). It just really feels like they were planning on keeping open to the possibility of using Nora as the winter maiden, but then just decided to play it safe and stereotypically gave it to Winter. What I'm saying is it feels like this whole volume crashed and burned because instead of taking the more complicated routes with each character in the overall plot they decided to just use safe cards and stereotypical tropes and that's why it feels like most characters "development" and the struggles in ETC all felt so hollow. Side Rant: That's also why I feel like the reason Juane fell with all of them is cuz they're going to somehow bring back Pyrahh which takes away a lot of the significance of her character. Her death symbolized, meant, and affected a LOT of the plot/characters. She met a tragic end YES but that is WHY her character had such a big impact (both in the show and with the fans) and if they bring her back they're pretty much(no, actually they ARE) throwing that all away. This season was not their best season, it wasn't complete s*** but they could have done a LOT better with everything (and had plenty of opportunity to do so).
When I first saw this I never watched it fully but I thought Nora was some kinda of animated oc of a youtuber. Now after I watched ruby up to volume 7 I'm returning to this video. NORA I THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME WATCH THIS SHOW!! Literally never would've known this show existed if I didn't see this video.
3:31 I CAN`T- NORA`S INFORMALITY IS TOO HILARIOUSLY FUNNY (I think she is kind of my favorite character - and she should be noticed by Ren.) Though I just wish that RWBY had a much greater story in the future volumes just like the previous ones (Imp).
@@elnombredelarosa3167 Every male and female character in their initial arc is interesting then Kishimoto ruins that... Kishimoto is the poster child of how not to write female characters.
@@elnombredelarosa3167 annoying, useless, hits her friends, complains for an entire series. only becomes PARTIALLY useful in the second series. demoted to housewife in third series, where she loses her one and only fight.
