Can't believe it's been 8 years since the switch came out. My life has changes so much since then. Edit: I really want it too be called the Super Nintendo Switch, but they never going to that do avoid a Wii U thing again. I'm happy with Nintendo Switch 2

This is one of the most concise and informed Switch 2 videos. Nintendo RU-vid has been burning me recently. It's either "Here's every detail and leak" no matter how insignificant or "It happens when it happens" and they only report headlines. Seriously, really good job!

If the switch 2 isn't being announced this year, then we'd probably have a general direct in september by now to fill in the first half of next year since the lack of a reveal this year would mean it wont come out until late 2025 or even 2026. But we instead got a partners showcase and indie world in august, leaving the first half of 2025 very empty, aside from like two games. So either a reveal this month or a extremely dry 2025

I think Capcom’s collection announcements in the August Partner Showcase is also a pretty clear indicator that said presentation was supposed to be last month. Think about it, why announce Capcom Fighting Collection 2 before the MvC collection even got a release date when you could’ve revealed it closer to the release of Terry for Street Fighter 6 to capitalize on the excitement? I think Nintendo decided to move the presentation up a month, which forced Capcom to rearrange their plans for both collections. And why, because they wanted to spend most of September preparing for the Switch 2 reveal this month.

I always felt October was the most logical reveal time. When in October is the real question, for me I boiled it down to three dates: the 8th, 22nd, and 24th. The 8th because I feel that’s enough time before Nintendo starts ramping up Jamboree marketing. The 22nd and 24th because it’s after Jamboree entirely and that gives them full free time to announce it with really nothing to worry about. Overall tho I still feel like this month is the month, here’s hoping.

Especially the mention that Nintendo doesn’t care about beating the ps2. It has to be this year because like you said mass production has begun. My prediction is reveal early 2025. I still believe Nintendo sees this holiday season as the last switch holiday season. Let the games like Jamboree sell and don't distract costumers, especially parents that won't consume videos about news. If they hear that Switch is soon done, they might not buy. If Switch 2 is released in June: january reveal. If its released rather in August/ September: January/February/March reveal.

The Switch has dominated "FOR EVER"!

I've definitely had pins on October 8-10 or October 22-24 for a while now, pretty much ever since Jamboree was dated. If we don't get a reveal on one of those days, this thing is likely not coming until Fall 2025. That said, I think the most compelling reason for an early 2025 reveal is the fact that they can't go into that November 5 call without any games releasing for the rest of the fiscal year. Unless they're planning on having a Direct on October 8-10 or October 22-24 (unlikely, in my opinion), they need an explanation for why the last game they have with a firm date for the fiscal year is DKCR. Only explanation is the Switch 2 reveal hitting this month and a major presentation coming in January/February like with Switch 1.

It will have to be revealed this year as Nintendo is releasing another platform separate from the Switch line in 2026 and thats their XR Headset they are developing with Google andnitnwould make absolutely no sense to reveal the Switch 2 and then a year later reveal the Standalone Headset the next year as they plan to go head to head with Meta and the Quest line of Headsets

Only info we're getting is from rumors and from the fake leakers. Realistically, it's not happening at all this year. Any type of Nintendo directs is over when it comes to 2024. Unless they somehow make a surprise announcement at the game awards. But most likely Nintendo won't do anything at the game awards either. So let's just wait until January or February comes in 2025.

This is the only switch 2 speculation video I bothered to click on, all the others are just clickbait nonsense. I was someone heavily on team September (betting even on the date - the 18th) and obviously I was very wrong. I don't wanna get my hopes up again so I'm 50/50 for October or January (for a mid-late 2025 release). I'm not to keen on either the name "switch 2" or something like "super switch", I don't want it to include the word "switch" at all and have a new branding like "nintendo attach" or whatever the other leaks were.

I'm on team October, but I doubt we'll get a reveal, just a small announcement with a few Switch 2 details. All Nintendo's said we'll get is an announcement (Which are usually bare bones), and initial console announcements don't usually have that much info anyway. As for the release, I'm betting on an early 2026 release. Idk why people think we'll get the Switch 2 early next year when we haven't even heard anything about it yet. Usually a console releases 1-2 years after its initial announcement, which again, we haven't even gotten for the Switch's successor.
