I know this covered a lot but you can jump around to different sections with the channel sections in the description. What else would you like to know about the Nest Audio?
Thanks for the video. I was wondering if you are able to turn the off the device. Also if you are able to bring it to the park (outside home) and use it as a regular bluetooth speaker? Thanks.
@@ismaelcosio3543 I suppose you could, but it needs to be plugged in to work. I don’t think it would be good a lot but if you don’t have anything else then I suppose it could work. Also I know I’m not “The tech guy” but I figured I’d reply anyway.
I appreciate you! Thank you for not saying the wake phrase, whenever a commercial or video says it my Nest Hub Max and my tablet that I'm casting to my TV from goes off lol
i just got a it a few min ago and im going to set it up right now with your video as guide:D i already watch it once waiting for the google nest to get to my house hahaha really really love you content found you over the weekend keep it up your content is so helpfull and you learn so much tnx tnx tnx greetz from the netherlands
Even I have Google speakers for ao long but I still enjoy watching your long setup video. I think any new user just bought Nest speakers should just watch your video first. I have one question. Would you recommend to have 2 Nest Audio pairing as stereo speaker and make them as speaker output for a TV. Does stereo group even work with TV via bluetooth?
Thank You, Thank You And Thank YOU! I have been using Google assistant speakers ever since they became available but I wasn't aware of many new features were added to customize the group speakers and other functionalities which I learned them by watching this video. It is very interesting that originally I was looking up for a different question which you explained fairly on this video.
I miss Google play music so much. RU-vid music is horrible at sorting my uploads and GP music used to make it easier to view my list of artists while also showing their full discography online.
I just got one of these at first I thought it was going to be rubbish it first but I'm glad I got it now as I have been using it a lot more than I thought I would
Seems like the additional pricing over the nest mini is larger and more powerful speaker(s), the rest of the features are standard. I found that when the google devices are placed next to speakers, the connectivity can be disrupted.
hi ! Brett ! i have at least one question ! ? my question is can you change google’s voice to someone else ? like a celebrities voice for instance ? or is googles voice one voice only just asking ?
Excellent video !! thx, Excellent video. Thanks. I lack the information about the size of the room to which the device fits. And maybe share your playlist.(new jam) Definitely worth it. 😉
For smart home stuff it has pretty much been the same except Pixel just added an update to quickly control devices from the power menu which I think is pretty awesome.
@@OpasgegenLinks There IS a Samsung ecosystem. Samsung laptops (or any Windows laptop) work well with Samsung phones. You can call via your laptop, send messages and view photos form the phone. And if you have a Galaxy Tab, it also syncs up with your phone. You can remotely turn on hotspot and you can make phone calls with your tablet and send messages. And of course there is the galaxy watch which is in the ecosystem and the galaxy buds. How is this not an ecosystem???
Maybe you can help with this?... If I'm listening to music, etc. on my Google device, and say "OK Google, turn it off." Occasionally, it'll turn off my Nest thermostat. (yikes!!!) ....next thing I know, it's 95 degrees in my house! Is there a way I can fix this to NEVER do this again?
Excellent review Brett! I think you covered everything :) I have to go back and re-listen to something you said earlier that I didn't know about. I have one Nest Audio but think I'll replace the office OG with the new Nest Audio when they go on sale during Black Friday :)
Awesome video! And very informative and in detail like always. 👍 👏 I have 2 Google home's and unplugged them because I heard that real humans are listening to what's being said. But this product is really nice and as you said really clear. I still have dreams of being able to remotely play with the blinds in the house. 😂😁
one thing google hasn't said is that there are latency issues when pairing the audio nest to a tv via bluetooth (even as all the promotional material mentions bluetooth connectivity with TV as a feature). I've tried with mine and the lag of more than 1s makes it not viable at all. The tech support admits that these latency issues are NORMAL. Reviews might want to update their articles that suggest using nest audio speakers with the TV Bluetooth function. if you are looking to use them as tv speakers, DONT DO IT
I have a question unrelated to this video. My Google home mini used to just turn on or off my light when I asked it to. Now, after it does it tells me it's doing it. As it does it. How do I stop this feature. With Alexa it is called brief mode. Did Google change something?
Hey Brett, after our conversation yesterday, and my conversation with Google support everything is back to normal here. I upgraded to the Nest Audio to replace the Google Home Mini in my bedroom for a better sounding Google speaker that can be more on the level of Amazon's echo devices. I Still think the Echo Studio, and Echo 4th Generation have better overall balanced audio, however, the Nest audio sounds really good. I think it sounds better than my original Google home as well. Have a great day!
Thanks Brett! I actually learned sth new: how to connect bluetooth headphones to my Hib Max 😁 tried this when I got it but couldn't figure out how to do it but your video shiwed me 👍
i thought i knew smth, but looks like not all, thanks! Also big thanks for muting "OK Google" otherwise it would be nightmare, my google-dev would do all you say (if applicable)
Re: the duo call, I have a Nest Mini and people can hear me from the other side of the room easily as well. Not sure if it's as good with the Google Home Mini (the old version) because I never tried it.
I am looking to use these as a replacement for my surround sound system. How do I use the speaker pair with Samsung Tizen TV without audio latency issues ? Right now I am having a 2 second delay.
I found this video very informative (I have just got a Google Nest Audio) but many of the menu functions you show on the video do not appear in my Google Home app. My phone recently updated to Android 12. For example: I cannot find the Accessibility settings nor Alarms and Timer in Google Home app. Any chance of an update on your video to show what's available on Android 12?
Oh no! They just changed all the menus so it is a bit harder to find. The Alarms is under the Audio section and Accessibility should be it's own menu. These are found by tapping long the speaker and then the Great at the top right.
I think I like the Google one better than the Echo. I have a few questions. Is the mini one as loud as this bigger one is? And, can we listen to radio stations on the Google device? And can you call cell phones using the Google device?
Hey Bro, kind regards from Mexico Congratulations! This video is super amazing with all the features that the nest audio has, how well the calls and the music sound, how responsive is Google Assistant on the device, and I didn’t knew it makes voice reminders just like Alexa does on Echo devices. Well… I have a Sonos Roam speaker, it sounds very good, it has both Alexa and Google built- in, with Alexa works but hmmm! I didn’t liked at all its Google Assistant integration, it disconnects from the Internet so often, becomes unresponsive most of the times, or answers with any error or with the infuriating can’t reach the internet right now, it’s a hustle to make it play music, podcast or news for me, music just stoppeds playing randomly even having a pretty decent Internet connection. Sonos support is unresponsive here in Mexico, and I replaced it twice now with absolutely no difference, same issues. How do I fix it? My Internet works great for everything else, and my Alexa Amazon Echo 4 always worked fine for me. Do you think I’ll have a much better experience with GA on this Nest Audio? I mean, practically errors free, no drop outs, no error messages, quick response from Google assistant, routines, voice reminders, calendar, news, music and podcasts, smart home control and complete out loud results for any google information search working fine? Google Assistant’s functionality is very limited here in Mexico, functions such as continued conversation, improvised routines and voice reminders aren’t supported
Hi brett, you're good on explaining . But can you play RU-vid videos coming from Google hub Max in a speaker group? Because all music came from RU-vid music when you command them, and you will hear the adds at the end of every song, unless your a subscriber. Thanks in advance.
If you have music on your phone, how do you play that, if you choose not to use RU-vid music?? If you made a play list on your phone from cd or you downloaded, how do you play those??
Excellent video! I was gifted one of these, and it's still in the box 9 months later. I know I'm the odd man out, but I've been debating what I would use this for. It seems never-ending, the fiddling with it, and who wants to turn off lights, create lists, ask questions, or play music? I know, sorry I'm a sourpuss. I'm using this for now as something to put a space heater or books on 😐
Hi Brett, thanks so much for your videos. I have in my home 3 mini (older) one with the screen (the older) and one Google Home Max. When i try to reproduce audio in the Google Home Max or the mini's they says "I cant reproduce here, but i can do it in other place if you ask me" (in spanish)... and only works in the screen google home i have (than casuallity have other kind of spanish). Do you know whats happen? Thanks so much
Please comment on creating multiple groups and having the same speaker in different groups - also the ability to play audio signal from Chromecast - while playing a football game on RU-vid TV using Chromcast we need to be able to have audio from TV Speakers AND Google Nest Speakers. Can you please test and comment on this - email me if you like
