What better place to get a real life taste of Mexican culture than the Zocalo.
The capital of the Aztec Empire, you will take a step back into history as you roam the crowded streets of this beautiful city square.
This video will show you what the Zocalo has to offer and the best way to fully take advantage of your time there. Watch the whole thing, it’s worth it. By the end, you should know this place like the back of your hand.
You can follow my other journeys through the links as well:)

The Spanish built the cathedral ON TOP of the temple of the SUN, not Templo Mayor, which you see on the north side of the church.

The Spanish used the stones from the Templo Mayor, didn't mean to say that it was built on top. However, the Cathedral was built on top of Aztec temples

@@sofiamiau3420 Hernan cortez Killed million of indeguos In the name of the Christianity
@sofiamiau3420
@sofiamiau3420 2 года назад
@@sergioguti2293 I think he killed "millions" because he was ambitious and wanted riches and power... That is not a Christian thing but a human thing that leads to every war...(if you don't believe me, ask Putin). But let me ask you, how many "millions" did the Aztecs not only kille but torture and eat?? I think we all should be grateful that cannibalism and human sacrifices don't happen anymore in Mexico and people nearby are not harrased by the Aztecs 😅. I'm just bringing this up so that you see that Cortez's "killings" little had to do with Christianity and a lot had to do with the way humans like to behave when they have a big thirst for power and believe in pagan deities. The Aztecs also wanted to be the richest and most powerful civilization in the whole area. So...they killed and did bad things...like Cortez did and like Putin is doing now: killing and invading others' lands because they want power. If we are to continue demonizing our ancestors, we would have to hate everyone: our Spanish ancestors and also our native ones. Forgive and move on...and yeap, honor your parents, both parents no matter if neither of them were perfect or saints 😇😅👍

Lmao “Aztecs” don’t exist anymore, but yes they could be indigenous but probably of another tribe

Ha, those Aztecs got brought so low to the point of becoming little street shows and "purifications" 😂 VIVA CRISTO REY!
