I live in Cadiz and, as a Gaditano, you did a great job showcasing my city. To all travelers, stay away in the months of July and August as all of Spain descends on the coastal cities. Visit Cadiz any other month, especially during Carnival! For parking, park in the town of Rota and take the ferry to Cadiz. Oh, and Kim, you've just earned a new subscriber 😁😃
Nice video Kim, I live near Cadiz and love to visit the city once or twice a month. Some amazing places to eat and having the beach a city block from anywhere you could stay is a massive bonus.
I watched this video before I studied abroad in Cádiz last month. The advice you have ended up being really helpful! Especially the wed-sat tip since we arrived on a Sunday hahaha. It was so nice coming back to watch again now that I’m home ❤️
I’ve just been recommended your video, as I’m off to Cadiz soon. Genuinely, your video is so good and insightful that I thought you lived in Cadiz! It wasn’t until I looked at your channel I realised that you probably don’t live there! Brilliant video with great recommendations and tips. Thanks a lot!
2 nice places to eat in the old town are.. Taberna de la tiza (great fish restaurant but only go out of season ) and Sonambulo which is close to the port and serves great modren Spanish dishes.
I'm heading to Malaga in less than two weeks, from there I'm gonna go to my beloved Tarifa and from there I plan to visit Cadiz for the first time. I'm gonna spend there 3 nights. I'm very stoked as I've heard so much good stuff about this city. Your tips will definitely come at handy.
@@TheAbundantTraveler Yep. Both of these cities are so beautiful, plus we had a great weather - neither too hot, nor too cold. .. To anyone who read this and have never been to Andalusia, I strongly encourage you to go. There are so many great places: Granada, Córdoba, Tarifa, Gibraltar, Ronda, Cádiz, Sevilla, Jerez de la Frontera... Have your pick.
Thanks for this informative clip. I would prefer seeing more scenery of Cadiz and less talking head shots. A voice over would work well with fewer clips of you talking directly to the camera.
On a donkey? That sounds absolutely amazing. Will you share the link to that adventure? Thank you so much for watching, and please subscribe to the channel.
The Abundant Traveler It was amazing, but nothing last forever, Im allready back in the München airport. It was nice eating tapas and caleta beach. You shall try the donkey riding too.
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
Hi there, thank you for the great videos, VERY informative and fun. Do you travel alone? I am in my 40’s and travel alone too, well more recently I travel with my doggie. I have been to Spain but I want to go back, there is so much to see. I wish you had more videos of Spain! Thanks for taking the time to create this useful content.
Rusty is a good description This city is like Havana, bit poor, but very local and with great, friendly people. Food is top. Beaches are one of the best in whole Andalusia. The one think to what is typical here is wind, sometimes it is very strong and could just make your visit bit uncomfortable. Overall bit less touristy then Malaga Area, bit less stunning Architecture than Seville, but overall a must place to visit. For a longer expat life of non spaniard i would rather suggest Malaga first. For few days holidays is Cadiz a perfect destination.
Hi Kim 4adults we will be in Seville end September beginning Oct. we are thinking a day trip to Cadiz stay over night. Any old town hotels or apartment recommendations? Thanks Tom

I'm not sure what the weather is like in November and December as I was there in September. If you go, have a blast! Thanks for watching, and please subscribe to the channel.
Hello, I live about 30mins from Cádiz in the town of Medina Sidonia, it is well worth a visit when you come 😀 Anyway about your question...around the end of September beginning of October the weather generally breaks, we have a few days of rain as the summer hot weather 35+ starts to cool. After this break the temp is usually around the mid 20’s and stays around there right through November and December. I have been on the beach 🏖 in Cádiz on Christmas Day soaking up the sun ☀️ I hope this helps 🇪🇸😀
That translation to "Sentinel de la Bodega" is hilarious in Spanish. The proper name is Setenil de las Bodegas... And yes, it is worth visiting, as most of the villages in Cádiz province.
Our cruise is docking in Cadiz on a Sunday. I was deciding wether to stay in town or go to Seville but I guess Seville might be the option since everything is closed on Sunday in Cadiz?
They are on the Euro, so no to the USD. Yes, there are many cruises that port in Cadiz. That being said, I think it's worth staying a couple of days in Cadiz....
