When the kneesavers came out, our minds were blown. I had a set. Then I built a Master 5 years ago, and had to put kneesavers on it. They look amazing.
Ethan needs his own channel! phu needs his own channel! max needs his own channel! you guys are all star’s !!!!! Keep the content coming al pray 🙏 for phu
I've got a blue tooth jam speaker clamped perfectly with 3 ties to the top cross bar, radical cool and FUKIN' spot on. Not interested in doing, 'tricks' just enjoy music on the go. And I've got 3 mountain bikes all with BMX bars....comfort✌️
Great video with good explanation 👍 I like the looks of the 4pc bars so i'm going to change my 2pc to 4pc on my BMX bike from 2005 that i'm about to fix this spring so i can use it again this summer. I've had this BMX bike since it was new in 2005 so i'm really looking forward to use it again and maybe learn to do some trics on it
5:00 we used to call those knee saver bars "Flatland" or "Flatlander" bars. You'd see all of the guys doing flatland in the 90's using bars like this. GT used to put these on a lot of their BMX bikes back in the day.
I've been riding my FITBIKECO series one 21 tt Transgold 2019 i think. Trimmed the bars ( Thanks to ALF) and grease the bottom bracket a few times now. 6ft 220 pounds Jumping 6ft Gaps. NOT a problem. Best Bike i have ever Owned. NOw i want that Complete SLEEPER :) DROOL :P hahahha Great Video Alf Thank you. You Rock
(01:42) I agree. It's literally scary to me because I've snapped four piece bars before and I FEEL like no matter what the quality of the steel/iron is it will still snap at the bottom. But I could be wrong - please correct me if I'm wrong..
4pc bars are a bit less resistant than 2pc, If you think of it, the points of soldering are more, that means the bar would be more fragile where that especific point is because of the heat applied.
I use bmx bars on my mtn bike. I have extreme short arms. I was curious about either a 4 or 5 piece bar so i can have the 8"-9" bar rise but have a narrow cross bar so my brake levers have more space so I can 1 finger brake instead of having to use 3 fingers to brake.
S&M bars are the only one's I use and I buy them for the wall, my kind of skakeboard wall candy, but BARS of all kinds 😋😋😋😋😋 Where's your shop? Thx and AWESOME job on the video 💯%
About time Ethan was in a video..good video bro! his like the west coast Panza! Can you ask him why he decided to go without a wishbone rear end on his frame? And can you also tell us why some aftermarket frames like the older Sundays used to basically pump out their completes without a wishbone rear and why their aftermarket frames had one?
i'm looking for the T1 barcode bars. large. they made another run around like 2010 or something but the ones from like 2002 were the best. i've got mine but they're a little bent, would really like a new pair.
Bars with a front load stem vs taller bars with a top load stem with more rise will fell the same? Would that make sense to save weight? I’m assuming top load and front load stems weight about the same, while taller bars weight more than shorter bars…
Of course I mean taller bars with front load stem vs shorter bars with top load stem, for some reason RU-vid doesn’t let me edit my comments on safari on iPad, maybe it’s my ad blocker or popup blocker..
Can you make a vid with phu on how to find the geometry stats of parts you dont know the brand or anything about the part trynna run the same geometry n im not trynna buy sum n not fuk wit it im also a 4 piece kind of guy so yea help porfavor
I have a question so I have a GT pro series 29 I have stock handlebars right now which are GT Pro Series Cheat Code 2pc, 100% Cr-Mo, 7.875"H x 31.5"W, 5°Up, 11° Back I want some thing a little taller do you have recommendations
Here in my country i see a bar cost bout $13 = ₱650 but i still can't afford it... It is a 10rise bars im a 5'8 tall my stem is a front load, is it a good setup?
One spec not really mentioned anymore for bars is Crossbar width...meaning from one side of the crossbar to the other side. The closer you ride with your hands on the bends...the more it's noticeable. I don't like anything over 11', but nowadays a lot of bars have a wider bend radius meaning the box (middle) will be larger. So if you're like me and ride on the bends and the bars feel off like they still feel a bit too large, it's prob gonna be the crossbar width is too much. A lot of riders ride with their hands more out from the bends, so they really won't feel it. Also, sorry but Ethan was incorrect in that those Mission parts aren't because they are 4130 tubing, BUT aren't heat-treated at all.
@@SFletcherson i know it doesn't. i'm just saying what i've seen. maybe there's some popular 4pc bars that are built for that geometry and that why a lot of them run them, not just bc theyre 4pc.
Yo Ethan was on point. Could you get Denim to do a video? Wait I think he has a channel... keep all these fools in the make P.S. get well soon Vooster!
I only ride S&M 9” FU BARS! I can’t stand two piece. The style part is lame. I’m a San Diego native bruh and rode GT Knee Saver 4 piece bars in the 90’s because I hit my knees on two piece. Four piece are more comfortable to me. You can’t talk shit about S&M especially since they own FIT. Their parts are pretty similar to S&M but they’re not the exact same quality. I want that US made shit. Ride what you like that’s my advice. I have dope bikes I built and buy limited edition shit along with another person I know.
