Tip up fishing is an incredibly effective way to catch fish through the ice, however many people simply sit around and wait for a flag to go up. Put in the extra effort into your set lines will yield many more fish throughout the winter. This video will cover walleye, northern pike and perch fishing. I broke it up into two basic parts. Part 1: Rigging and setting. Part 2: Location and movement.
When ice fishing I use my tip ups to scout locations and find active fish. Once I find more fish I tweak my set up and location to capitalize on a bite. Incorporate a set line into your ice fishing set up this winter and reap the rewards!
