Buddy, here’s a tip if you’ve been robbed like you have: go back to your hotel, visit others close by, and tell the doormen what’s happened. Tell them the content is worth more than the gear and that you’re willing to buy it back. Often, these thieves work specific areas, and the hotel staff often know who they are and can get a message to them. Tell them there’s a reward for the return of the content. A friend of mine gave me this tip after he’d been robbed, and it worked. Sorry this has happened to you.

While this will help towards your gear, the content you’ve created and lost has got to be hard to reconcile with especially because I know you pour your heart and soul into your work. Being a photographer, videographer and drone pilot, I feel your pain. It is a large fear that we face because our equipment is critical to our joy and success. It is also accumulated over many years of sacrifice. You have brought me so much enjoyment and knowledge and I hope this little bit helps. It is amazing that your “community” has come together to help and support you during this difficult time. It is a great lesson and display of how you and your content are truly valued are appreciated…dare I say loved. I believe that sometimes things happen for a reason. While this certainly hurts so much and demonstrates the worst in our society…it also has brought out the best in so many people who treasure your special gift. That should be celebrated!

The History Underground has been my go to channel on RU-vid for many months. Your videos are absolutely superb. I especially enjoy the D-Day presentations because you take me to many of the places I have visited myself and I have learned so very much more about these places.
