I’m no longer surprised that of the hundreds of Borough Market vids on RU-vid, everyone ends up at the same 5-6 food stalls. It’s as predictable as death and taxes. Having said that, Kappacasein Chz toastie is as good as advertised, and The Black Pig is always great.

Always visit Borough market when it first opens (far quieter) but more importantly double check that it's the full market (sometimes only a small part is open)

@@AndrewandMegan if you want something to see beyond just food places, I can recommend visiting the Sir John Soanne's Musem in Lincoln's Inn Fields - it's free, but check which days it's open. There's a ton of great places to eat in London, especially in East London, Notting Hill, Soho/Chinatown. Indian, Turkish/North African, Jamaican and Chinese food is especially good

It’s interesting that you think it’s amazing that fresh food tastes better than processed food. Maybe I just take it for granted that fresh food tastes better because that’s what I’ve always eaten 🤷🏻‍♀️. But I do have friends like you who mostly eat processed food and they think that tastes amazing, but they don’t care too much for fresh food.

The absolute 100% ideal vlog _NOT_ to watch at 11pm after a few drinks, when the munchies are setting in... 😮 _Fortunately_ I'm wise to that kind of mind-trickery now, and so I watched it at 9am, after a hefty bacon sandwich and coffee breakfast. 😊 So why, then, do I still have an insatiable craving for cheese toasties and strawberries? 😅😅 Love you guys! And even thought I kind of detest London, and especially touristy places like this, this kind of video really makes me proud to be able to relate to it somewhat, and be a part of this amazing country. @@AndrewandMegan Brick Lane (in East London) is a must for Beigel Bake which is open 24 hours a day (careful with the English mustard!). Brick Lane is also great for vintage clothes, Records (Rough Trade East, but they are IMHO expensive), Indian/Bangladeshi food (I've heard that Sheba and City Spice are good), as well as traditional Bengali sweets. There's also a regular market on Sundays. Don't miss the stalls at the The Old Truman Brewery. East London, especially Shoreditch is a must for foodies and fans of bars (too many to list) but Boxpark (which has loads of pop-up restaurants and bars built into shipping containers) is also great. I'd also recommend Kerb at Seven Dials. Columbia Road Flower Market is worth a look (but can be rammed).

Monica, a few really great places that don’t get enough fanfare: Gourmet Goat for the kid goat kofte. Shuk for the lamb meatball pita. Khanom Krok for the pad ka pow. Mei Mei for the Nasi Lemak. Horn OK Please! for the dosa chaat. Of the places that do get a lot of attention, Ginger Pig, The Black Pig, and Kappacasein are all excellent. Monmouth coffee is also very good. Places I’d miss: Bomba Paella looks impressive but is mid, and the line is loooong. Bread Ahead sells a lot of donuts, yet some still manage to be stale. The chocolate strawberries are mid, and the chocolate hardens into a lump on days where it isn’t hot out. Fish! Kitchen fish and chips should be avoided. They are bog standard and very pricey…save fish and chips for the pub, not a renowned food market. Enjoy!
