I pray you all have more wonderful times ahead w/family, your beautiful small home & homestead! May God be w/you all …shining His light & love upon you two & your children! Keep well & stay vigilant!🙏🏻👏🏻😊
I love this year in review. Sorry about Pumpkin but Goldie is such a great momma. I have been watching you guys since living in the suburbs. Watching your family grow and thrive is so inspirational.
Oh no way, that feels like a long time ago!! Haha. Those were the rabbit and Finley days! 🤣🤣 THANK YOU for sticking with us! We hope to have a great year of CONSISTENCY!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hi , I am MD Golam Rabbany from Bangladesh. I am so much interested about farming and regenerated agriculture. I alsow wanted to migrait with my family to Europe or any other peace loveing and well democratic country. Can you tell me about land cost for 1acar in USA. With best regards, You're loving fan.
The US land prices vary massively across the nation. Even across states. Smaller acreage is typically more expensive per acre in our state than the per acre price for a larger plot of land. In our county, land under 20 acres is currently being sold at 31,000 per acre !
Hi Texans, I just found yawls channel so excited. I watch a lot of Texan channels on RU-vid. I am a four year gardener. so I feel that heat I feel that freeze everything. Are y’all doing rain catching this year in case we get another drought I’ve been doing barrels with me and the city I’m in Houston we had got that water restriction. We were only able to use water twice a week so I filled up plenty of 55 gallon barrels, so I can water water in those odd days…
Great Video!! I'm 83, raised on a post depression homestead on the Palouse, Eastern Washington/Northern Idaho. Our farming techniques have destroyed the once abundant top soil; which at one time was as much as 50 feet thick. The, mostly, large corporate farms on the Palouse have been forced to adopt better farming techniques just to maintain the crop yield. Of course, as farming families, they are just as dependent upon the, "just in time," food supplies are we are in the city. All of that land and few gardens. In Your raised beds, I suggest You use the hugelkultur technique of filling Your beds.
Great stuff guys, a busy year! Have you ever thought about key line ploughing to help hydrate the land a bit better? Richard Perkins is a good guy to watch about it. All the best from Spain 🎉
Rain is a good thing! Nice looking calf, sorry to hear you lost her. Yeap, bough all of my seed already and can't wait until Spring. God bless y'all and keep growing
If you wrote a book I would love to hear it you talk so clear and maybe sounds weird but your voice is comforting and calming I absolutely love what your family has done in the past year I am going after this lifestyle
@@BetterTogetherLife leeches usually live in fresh water sources like rivers and lakes. But once the source is contaminated by pesticides they move away. We had plenty of them in waterlogged paddy fields. Once they started spraying pesticides, u don't c them any more.
Thank you so much for sharing your story! Your videos are incredibly inspirational and motivational! My boyfriend and I are hoping to start our own homestead, will definitely reference your videos! 💕 God Bless ✝️
🤣🤣🤣 I totally agree!! Which probably is why “Timelapse build videos” typically perform better than normal ones. We are happy to try and make as many of both as possible this year!!
@BetterTogetherLife Transcendentals are perceived and applied, from the lesser to the greater by all creatures made in God's likeness and image. We even know and use them (sadly) to reject God. They nudge us to a relational awareness so-as-to live out our lives according to God's prescribed order. - Beauty - Goodness - Order - Truth Thanks for doing the videos that I see from both a metaphysicl and practical perspective in doing the above. ❤️
This was the first video of yours I’ve watched, and your narrative skills are INCREDIBLE. Obviously the videography was great too! I felt like I was on the farm with you for all 12 months.
I have subscribed to your channel after hearing your story. Your story is like ours. I will wait patiently for new videos. What a great way to teach your children and others. We have these memories with our older children. We now walk our younger children through it
Just found your channel and i have to say girl, you are one hell of a story teller, from script to the voice!! Loved it. My wife and I have a 20 acre homestead here in East Tx and we can def appreciate all the hard work you show here, we are 62 and do it on our own, have the pigs, milk cows, chickens, meat chickens. Love seeing people go back to the basic good life. I just subscribed, love what your family is doing and especially your story telling gift!!! God Bless you and your family and keep up the hard work, will soon pay huge dividends!
Sorry we are just responding to you comment, WOW THANK YOU!!! You are too kind!!! Yup, Texas can be tough for sure. THANK YOU for joining us, it means more than you know!!!!
Wow thank you so much!!! Are you new here? First time seeing you in the comments. THANK YOU so much for watching and commenting. We do our best to reply to as many comments as we can!
Isaiah 65:24-25 King James Version 24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. 25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord. Gods blessings over you .
Nice!!! It’s equally a little too big for my property and yet too small for some of the tasks I want to accomplish. Which means, it’s probably the perfect size for us! 🤣🤣
Haha oh yes! As a Northern California (the true northern Cali) we do the same… we go 4-5 months without rain and hit 110-115 for weeks on end. One thing that’s nice about our heat though is it’s dry and not humid like y’all’s. 15:39 But man is it one of the most exciting things when it rains after months on nothing!
@@BetterTogetherLife Only reason I was saying that is most people don't realize that unless they line a pond during the Hot summer months the ground will absorb the water faster. And I have another tip for you as well, Since you have Clay in your soil there when planning trees and shrubs on your property before you insert them in the ground put gypsum into the hole first. The gypsum helps The roots get past the Clay and established In the ground better.. Trees such as Elms and pines need this or they will form a root Ball and could later become a serious problem. Respectfully yours, Donna Lane Kingman Az (I was born and raised in Pittsburg TX and the soil there is also a lot of clay as we'll I'm giving To you some advice that came from My paternal Grandfather and My Great -uncle who worked For camp country maintaining country roads)
Great story and lovely family. I loved watching him calling the pigs to eat. As a retired homeschooling mom, I wish I had a farm then. Now we have a small farm (cattle, fish, and dogs only) and are loving educating the grandkids although they are very young they do enjoy it and recently started capturing some of it on my new you tube.
What an awesome life to live! I love nothing more than generations doing life together. I think it’s exactly what the Lord intended 🥰. That’s such a beautiful gift to give your grand babies!
@@BetterTogetherLife not you apparently. There are many phrases and euphemisms we grew up with that we take for granted and don't look into. This one not so much these days, fell out of favor. Maybe one day you'll remember this. After all, you just did your year in perspective. Perhaps your perspective of what time is might change. We have been told it's the 2020s, but on Jesus' calendar we're somewhere in the 5780s.
@@HingleMcKringleberry128 in this complete arbitrary year, why keep accrediting to Jesus what is not Jesus'? People in the Church are waking up and reevaluating what we have been taught. Render unto Caeser and such. I felt lead to tell the truth, you view it as rude.
