Ofc I’m nosey and would love to know more about her and their marriage but I’m so happy for them that they seem to have been pretty successful at keeping their lives private and seem to have a great long marriage! I know people say it all the time, but I can never get over how much the members are just humble everyday people when they’re such a huge band-it just makes us love them all the more!
Sometimes I wish I was in her body. Either as her child or as her. I know that sounded creepy please forgive me but like you guys I love Angus and the band, I hear he is actually a very sweet guy as she is a very sweet lady. Yes I knew she was Dutch because my grandmother was Dutch.
She briefly dated Benny Jolink. She met Angus on 13th July, and said 'that day was lucky for her' They have a lil dog, a yorkie cross. She is always by his side, She designed the house. The only reason she is very protective is when fans become a lil too much. You can find all the answers. They do not live seperate lives. They have another house on Kangaroo Island in Aus. She was a model when he met her. Her family were blacksmiths originally and from Aalten. They have a house in London. They both chose not to have children and Angus said 'because I'm it' To be honest with such a life it would not have been fair. When fans meet her she is courteous and kind. If they are 'pushy' she seeks out Angus' permission. that is because he is 'saturated' with fans. There is mutual respect and she protects him. The success to their marriage is that she travels with him. Bearing in mind that's what he likes. They are soulmates. Joined at the hip if you like. It is a good example. They are humble and when he's offstage he paints. They like tennis. And guess they travel. They are a shining example that a rock n roll marriage can work. Here's to another fair few years. yeah, I live in Aalten and saw the new house built also Ellen's family has a hardware store there called Van Lochem and Angus goes to the local gym and I know many stories I wish to had been to the concert in Arnhem in 1979....but I was 15 and was not allowed....next year in 1980 missed the AC-DC tryout in "de Vereninging in Nijmegen" one of the first concerts after Bon's death.....yeah I'm in Asia now hope to Perth someday before I die. Amazing, how many other singers, or even preachers have remained married for forty years. While I have always admired Angus as a musician, I now admire him as a person ❤.
I went to school with Angus and we sat together in a few classes...he was very clever and very skilled...he made a few carvings for me in our wood class...I would like to catch up with him but don't know how.
Angus used to wear lifted shoes in the late 70 to early 80s. Ellen stands almost a foot taller. He can be seen wearing them in their concert movie “Let There Be Rock”.
Yes I do, my father was part of the road crew for AC/DC for a long time. Unfortunately I never got to meet the band. And she can quite often be misconstrued if I used that term correctly, As rude or sweet, it just depends on what you do. Or how often you bother her. That’s the only fact I’m going to let out here. Because the other ones that would be quite rude to do.
Which means they are not flattering. Good on you for not spreading gossip. Although I do like gossip. As long as she is good to Angus I guess she can be a bitch to everyone else. I just wish all the members happiness because they sure have giving me good times with their music.
She's a very nice lady, spoken to her a few times. But she's tough as nails, has an unofficial role in AC/DC. I believe Angus moved back to Sydney prior to or during the pandemic. They don't live separately as far as I know. They married one week before Bon died, in February 1980. Bon was at the wedding. But they met at least in 1979. Ellen told me the date, think it was 12th Feb, or near that time.
I know a few things, 1. She is the original writer of Stairway to Heaven 2. She voiced Garfield in the very first animated series 3. She is responsible for the mass production and distribution of shoe laces 4. She doesnt want you to know about any of it At least thats what i heard..
I'd say she doesn't do anything professionally unless you consider following Angus all over the world a profession. I mean, I'd do the same thing probably.
While living at Aalten in Holland, Angus dresses up in his AC*DC schoolboy outfit and delivers the local newspaper to 92 homes on his paper route. This keeps Angus in shape. The money he earns is spent on beer. Most of the locals are kind to and patient with Angus. They believe he suffers from a mental disorder after listening to so much AD*DC music.
The first *fact* is incorrect. There are few documented facts about them, at least get the year they met correct ffs. Other errors but what's the point?
