This game excited me as SOON as I saw the trailer for this! I LOVE Karate Kid AND the Cobra Kai series! I CANNOT WAIT to play this! Looks like an Arcady beat-‘em-up game!
It wasn’t Shredders Revenge that brought back the beat ‘em up. It was Streets of Rage 4. Still the king. But there are many good entries in the genre over the last 5 years.
Thanks to the non hetero fanboys who diss her for no reason, I doubt Julie Pierce will ever be featured in a game. As you can see, that's why lame Ali is in this one when she doesn't even know Karate.
It looks good because it looks like TMNT Shredders Revenge and it could follow a clear story through the first 3 films. That being said the last two games from this studio were sh!t. So fingers crossed but also realistic expectations.
Online play is a must for this type of game. I hope there is meat to the game - have it where we can get points and level up our characters and develop special attacks. Give us a good reason to play through it more than once or twice
Others that also need a game like this is Thundercats, Saint Seiya, Karate Kommandos, Escape From L.A. . Heck or even the original intended story for Bruce Lee's movie Game Of Death. It consisted of men teaming up with Bruce's character (named Hai Tien) to fight their way through a compound and doing the same once they enter the guarded pagoda tower until they reach the top to retrieve something that a mob boss hired Tien to get.
This will certainly be better than the two Cobra Kai games that Flux Game Studio gave us. Those are worse than crappy mobile games you can find online. If they can do DLC for the Cobra Kai series with this that would be even better. But covering the first 3 Karate Kid movies is still good for me.

wish cobra kai got a game like this instead of what it got. I want to play a normal beat em up with daniel and johnny as the protagonists. Instead we have those girls from karate kid who never fought and is ridiculous
That's your opinion. Shredder's Revenge made April a playable character and made it work pretty well. Sure, Kumiko and Ali have not had major fights, but they weren't afraid to throw down with Johnny and Chozen, despite being outmatched.
Dojos Rising was good concept, terrible execution. This is a huge step forward, considering if it can follow Shredder's Revenge. Just because it's not 3D doesn't mean the game is bed.
dojos rising has a shit ton of bugs. And I liked it better than the first game if it weren't for that. Considering the rise of beat'em up games, this sounds like a good idea. And if this game performs very well, we could very well see a cobra kai version of this which will give more character options than the 4 chars we see.
I think if this does good & when Cobra Kai Finishes next year they’ll probably do a cobra kai beat em up squeal with all the characters. I think Johnny will be a unlock-able characters they obviously know of cobra kais popularity
