Some guys like the Tranes, not this guy. That looks like a Voyager. That’s the same exact unit that I had to fix the evap leak on. Told the customer that I just saved them like 5k by fixing the leak. Damn you weren’t kidding on that curb. Just overkill. lol. I know you’re glad that’s over with. Great video as always.

Hey bro you for got to zip tie the condenser motor wires to the condenser motor bracket 😂😂😂😂 you can also use your service wrench to tighten the bolt on your condenser motor blade just an FYI……

OEM didn't zip tie them either 😂 Tried that before but never worked for me, adjustable wrench works better

Of course it had to be the motor farthest from the access door.

Just got introduced to brazing this week and my teacher instructed us to braze a contraption together to test for leaks. As I was flaring my copper, I kept forgetting to put the nut on before doing so. After 4+ attempts and a lot of profanity, I got it all brazed together and leak proof. Now I know this won’t be the last challenge I’ll be tasked with, that thing was definitely rewarding in the end lol 😂

It’s certainly humbling. Sometimes when I have a good streak i am the worlds best. Then the man upstairs hears that and takes me down a peg or 2 and re think living. I don’t know how you film on days like that. I literally want to hear no talking and talk to nobody. No radio on way home.

Dude!!! I feel your pain. One time when I started running calls on my own I had to swap a compressor of a residential unit (Trane 😂) the supply house gave me a 3 phase compressor instead of a single phase, but I didn’t check or notice until I turned the disconnect back on only to find out that it wouldn’t turn on. So I had to start the f***ing process again, go exchange the compressor and all that good stuff. And I think it was one of those humid ass f*** days here, I remembered I was drenched in sweet. Now I learned my lesson to check every time at the supply house. Keep up the good work man I love your videos.

Trane units condenser fan motors are the absolute worst to change out. Especially trying to get the belly band around the brackets and making sure they line up and tight is a pain. Whoever designed the way the motors are mounted guaranteed never spent a day in our trade. Factor in the cost of an OEM motor is crazy. I got to the point of telling my service manager I ain't doing Trane motors without a helper. Soon the other techs caught on and it was a 2 man job from there on in. Nice job!

Just did my first 1 last week. Definitely the worse design.

Well they gotta realize sometimes it takes 2 to get it done. I'm used to working alone but it's a lot of awkward movements and if I mess up I'll definitely make things a lot worse 😂 I was basically using my feet to hold the damn thing 🤣

Famous last words "let's take it easy" LOL😂😅 Everybody say it with me he cursed himself when he said those words at the beginning while climbing on to the unit.
@realSamAndrew
@realSamAndrew 2 месяца назад
I don't know about that. If he would have said "this'll be easy" I would agree. But the way he said it seems like he rightly recognized that he should be careful and not rush. But he forgot that part once he started wrenching 😉
