To be fair holding a funeral probably results in more flowers etc being blown about the landscape than tossing 2-4 orders of take out on the ground. Then again 1 dead human probably saves the world from a bunch of waste over time... unless that man volunteered frequently to clean up trash along roadsides … hmm. I guess if you go by Carbon Footprint murdering someone is easily 100x better for the environment than littering.

He really did his acting was great. He came across as a cartoon character like Harley but he's a hardcore crimeboss who will kill anyone who gets in his way. The ending is when i got pulled into the movie.

9:30 That was actually the point. In the comics Joker was the one who noticed that Harleen Quinzel sounds like Harlequin, a name for jesters in pantomimes. Later on, when Harley goes to break Joker out of jail, she calls herself his “Harley Quinn”, effectively a play on a play on words.

The movie itself isn't bad. I don't like that such a great character like Cass is relegated to "kid sidekick", and it robbed Ella Jay Basco of a much better interpretation. That being said, I don't hate this movie's version nearly as much as I do the retcon in the comics from 2016.

Literally one of the most badass members of the Batclan. Daughter of Lady Shiva - dealiest woman alive. Yet this movie butchered her more than DC ever butchered Nightwing. 😓 On the other hand, theygot Huntress correctly thou. But they also screwed up BC and my inner 9 years old ass just want them to burn in hell for it. 😂

@@blueismylove3128 A few things -she's a pickpocketer instead of one of the top 5 martial artists in DC history (above batman I may add) -she's the daughter the usual horrible parents in this movie and not the daughter of two of the world's greatest assassins. -she doesn't solo black mask's entire army with just her bare hands (granted if she did then the movie would be over in 30 minutes) -she's not batgirl or any of her other vigilante personas in this movie I feel like they just slapped Cassandra's name on this character to hype up the movie which was a bad idea since unfortunately Cass isn't one of the more popular batgirls despite her level of bad ass

In the scene before the Birds all meet each other at Amusement Mile, they showed Huntress was tailing Canary and Zsasz as they were heading there. The better sin would be why did she wait so long to kill him and not when he pulled over to call Roman.

Not to mention Zsasz was seen alone in the streets multiple times, as when they pick up the diamond or when he reclutes Canary, so it wasn't like he was always protected or surrounded by Black Mask's goons to have her waiting for a moment when he was alone. They didn't know how to put Huntress into the story much less at "why?" in the times she did. She did know the goon with the tattoos in the face was going to be in that alley waiting for Harley? then how she didn't know when Zsasz was alone.

Its funny - this had the makings of a good film - but it often felt like it was stitched together like a Frankenstein monster! All the female characters felt like they were from different movies - especially the wonderful Huntress! Robbie nailed it - but it was like the Producers said to the writer "Say, this is a Birds of Pray movie - maybe you should put some Birds of Pray in it?" and the writer said "Waaah - I just wanna write Harley Quinn!" Also Hyenas are SO 1998!!

I really wanted to like this movie, and some of the fight choreography was good.. but man, I just couldn't get past the "one bad guy fighting at a time" like I'm playing double dragon at the arcade. Also that police station scene was completely unrealistic. No way she would get that far in without someone taking her down.

I got attack on Twitter for saying I didn't enjoy this film. I still feel the same way. This movie definitely didn't deserve the rated R rating. There was barely any Birds of Prey. I didn't feel anything for Cassandra Cain, she was just an asshole kid. Lastly, Harley Quinn not being shot at the police station was comical.

@@vampiraJ Not to mention that unlike movies like Spiderverse, which introduced the characrer with a flashback and narration, they mocked it up after doing it twice, this movie had me rolling my eyes everything Harley started to narrate and go back to tell the back story of the other character, stories she couldn't possible know because at the end she just goes away, is that much more into the future Harley narrating after everyone told her their backstories? i mean seems like they only thought it would be cool to have her being "deapool"

Ah the theories, come on man, it makes no sense, and it's literally presented as they intedeed it to be. She wasn't even presented as "masking" facts because she's not telling the story to anyone, but us the audience, and usually when movies do that they end up with the chracter reaching the story and then going foward, or the narration ends with the chracter finally overcoming her issue, i'm thinking the writters didn't even think of the implications of having a narrator that's the lead character or just decided to do it because "deadpool". Plus it wasn't like Joker or any other movie that presents the narrator/character as unreliable because mental illness or just being a liar neither it hint's at least in the background to what you said. Harley was walking all over the city and no cops where after her.

When the nicest example of a male character in the film is the 30 second scene deli owner, you know you are layering it on too thick. I can't name a single named male character in this film who gets a spoken line of dialogue who wasn't depicted as being horrible to women in some way other than said deli owner, his entire arc is I make sandwiches. It's like someone pitched a reverse Bechdel test, but had no idea what a Bechdel test is.

Show don't tell is way more fun if you can pull it off. Being read to in a film is generally pretty boring no matter how much cleverness you use to dress it up. He specifically hates it within the first 30 seconds of film too.

Fun fact: Psychiatrists are physicians. They go to medical school and do residencies. Psychologists don’t go to medical school, but get PhDs in graduate school with dissertations etc, as with other PhDs. Harley calls herself a psychiatrist (MD degree) then says she has a PhD.

Even when I got arrested once in my 20s there was a completely separate area for like small time non-violent offenders they're just keeping a few hours, and I only got stuck in there for my own safety when they were transporting out some violent guy and then they let me back out. Most of the time they just let me sit in some lobby area and watch football, people will hate me for saying it but they were actually super nice lol

The trope where opponents don't fight back is the one thing I hate about the series Killing Eve. My girlfriend loves it. But I'm watching it and constantly asking why people stand exactly where they could be easily killed but then do nothing to protect themselves. Like the script just says "They are killed" and they can't think of how to make it happen so they just have the victim stand there and wait to be killed. And what's worse the show then goes on and on about how great this assassin is. Where she only seems to kill people because they don't remotely fight back, or move, or even struggle half the time against a extremely slim woman who is about 5'6" at a push... Which is exactly how anyone could defend themselves against that size of attacker

She didn't know how to speak, but she developed a way to read body language to the point that she can predict attacks. She is eventually adopted by Batman and becomes his daughter in all but blood. You can probably guess why quite a few people who are fans of her comic version didn't like this film's portrayal.

She was blowing away, with her skates. She got prepared for her canary cry, so she didn't let herself get unbalanced and was able to get a boost from it, the guys was caught off guard causing them to blow away. Just my thoughts tho.

She was fine, but as I said she was able to prepare herself physically and mentally for it, then got a boost from it. Also look at her stance while she skates, her knees are bent down while skating, she was prepared for it, and not get knocked over. Harley Quinn has a PHD she's still smart. She's also insane. Ofcourse she's crazy enough to let her get boosted by the Canary cry even if it'll hurt her ears.

To me, the biggest sin in this film was Kassandra Kain. I mean, they took a totally badass character who was introduced during the No Man's Land story, was raised by one of the worlds deadliest mercenaries to treat violence as an actual language, singlehandedly helped protect Gotham from MULTIPLE gangs, was endorsed by Batman to be the new Batgirl (which she totally ROCKED!)...and in this movie we are now given a chubby teenage pickpocket who can't do anything to save her own ass!? +1000 sins!!!!!
