One thing that I am partially ashamed to admit is that this movie really spoke to me in a way. The whole "autopilot" thing felt super relatable. @@Gamersb3stfri3nd That is not what he said. He said, "Every choice I make, every thing I do, I disappoint somebody." which goes in line with what the OP said. Basically he said that he can't do anything without disappointing someone. He is overworked and wants to be more for his children and wife but can't because of his asshole of a boss. Whenever he tries to do something for his children and wife, the boss plops some big project that needs his immediate attention and be done within the week, destroying all his plans. Because of this, he gets frustrated when people ask stupid questions(like going to the restroom) and nagging about how he doesn't do enough. He does a ton. He is treated like a bad father because he can't spend time with his family but that isn't his fault. Sure, when he actually gets the opportunity to fix all that, he abuses the power, and that made him fast forward through his life. Now, the message is to try your hardest to spend as much time with your family and put their needs before your own. But they set it up poorly. He DOES work his ass off so that he CAN spend more time with the family. His asshole boss is the whole reason why he can't do anything because he never gives him anything, promotion, raise, vacation days, etc.

I don't understand why the critics think every peice of media that we consume has to be an Intelligently constructed masterpiece with some masterfully illustrated plot. Adam Sandler pausing time to take a stomach fart into his boss's face is funny and I don't care what anyone says. We all know it's stupid, I'm just watching it for a cheap laugh. I don't care if the ending is beyond predictable and the plot is filled with toilet humor every step of the way. It's just stupid humor and I like it.

This movie has a halfway decent message, "Don't fast forward through your life." But suffers from the question, "who would use the Fast Forward button when they could Pause instead?" Completely broke my Suspension of Disbelief as a teenager, and as an adult find the protagonist totally irrelatable.

Yeah the narrator is proper woke now, and comes across as someone who can't take a joke. During this video he says that this film came out in 2006, not 1986, as if in 2006 we all forgot how to have a laugh, like no dude, this snowflake offended at everything bullshit only came into prominence in the last few years. I was 15 in 2006 and all these jokes were just normal, it was okay to make a joke. Sure, this film is silly and the jokes could be interpreted as lame even at the time, but if they're lame, they're lame, doesn't mean they're offensive. It's a shame because this channel used to be hilarious and I always enjoy when they point out continuity errors or things that shouldn't be there or don't make sense, but now it's hard to find those in between all the crying about jokes stuff
