But inside you can destroy vital organs and not just the skin. The most stupid thing to do is attacking the skin from the inside instead of cutting whats inside, thats why they want to cut through.

I wholeheartedly agree, especially with the Hasselhoff part. It very much reminded me or Thor: The Dark World in this regard. From what I recall, the only part that had any lasting emotional gravity was Yondu's death and memorial, but I have a sneaking suspicion that he'll be back.

Yep, the first half of the movie was full of it, not clever humour most of the time either, Drax made too many fart jokes for one thing, it got better in the second half though when they actually started to have a plot and got a little more serious

Not just the humor, at least for me that is. Many of the emotional moments also felt a little sitcom-y. Like when Gamora says "I thought we were your family" I just could not stop thinking about how cliche that felt. Don't get me wrong, I loved the movie and thought it was hilarious, just thought a little bit more work could have been put into the writing.

Usually, super strength co-occurs with some sort of increased durability, but this wasn't really shown for the character. He spent a fair amount of the first movie getting his ass handed to him so that inconsistency doesn't gel with his showcased durability in the second movie, hence the sin.

I mean Drax is a human, a human reborn by Kronos as a champion to take on Marvels ultimate baddie Thanos. I know these things don't happen in the films, hence the sin, but we don't question the hits Thor is taking. We can't judge these superheroes as soft squishy humans. Maybe we take a few sins off for using established characters without feeling the need to give us origin stories. Regardless, Drax/Bautista is the best part of the film and this is a film that would still be good if he wasn't there.

Well, that's not what this movie seems to be implying. When he says stuff like "my people" and "on my planet" that seems to be them saying Drax is just an alien. Sure, it's never explicitly stated that Drax is an alien and that this story differs from the comic books, but that seems to be what they're trying to go for.

the problem with this though is that the aliens skin is impenetrable and make his skin slightly easier to cut shouldn't work like this. In video game terms the alien has ∞ defense and having a 15 point de-buff shouldn't do anything

In short, Thanos wasn't Gamora's father, not Peter's father in law, and definitely not any kind of friendly title holder to anyone. He was a madman, an enemy, a terrorizer of worlds, and deserves absolutely no respectful position from anyone.

Yes, space is cold. But there is no air to transfer it to your body. What happens is your body slowly pumps out it's heat into the void. It get's cold, but you don't instantly freeze to death. That scene was not only scientifically accurate, it was also *necessary* to counteract the hogwash all the movies he named have taught movie audiences, so that later scenes in the movie make sense.
