Wonderful recap! One sin that you missed though was the scene in the station where Bourne puts the bag of money and other accouterments in the locker for safe keeping before being chased by the police. Then later at the house as Marie and her brother are leaving, after the shootings and explosions, the bag suddenly reappears and he gives her enough cash to start over.

The dog thing is kind of a lose-lose situation. Kill the dog = Bourne knows he's there. Don't kill the dog = Dog will likely give away his position. And as for waiting until he got against head range, kinda hard to confirm your target's identity from the back of his skull in a poorly lit room.

The first time I watched this it was an instant classic for me. It really takes me back.

The whole not bleeding our in the water thing is actually pretty plausible, as long as his dry/wet suit was able to keep him afloat. There are numerous recorded instances of hypothermia saving people. I have a friend who is an EMT who helped rescue an attempted suicide, where a guy shot half his face off with a shotgun and lived because he rolled into a lake in near freezing temps.

Reason why Jason knows where Marie is at the end of the movie, is because sometime where they first meet and are talking in the car. Marie basically tells Jason her "dream place" to live I guess? I don't quite remember the dialogue used but it's along those lines.

A shocking amount of sins in this could be chalked up to Jeremy's lack of knowledge, rather then Bourne's mistakes. Firstly, embassy can't have exterior cameras because that is another country, that they don't have jurisdiction in, but yes, the CIA could hack the French traffic cams. Second, having a mnemonic device for commonly memorized material (which is licence plates, I guess, if you are a spy) is different from having an eidetic memory. Also, Bourne was wearing a float vest (life vest) in the opening scene, so actually that guy could have taken a couple more hours procrastinating and Bourne probably wouldn't have drifted that far from the boat. Also, Bourne was listening to the radio so he KNEW the strike team was coming from behind him, not in front of him. Marie never entered the portion of the embassy that was on lock down, that was the whole point of that long scene talking about how she wouldn't leave the lobby. Then an assassin not lying in wait IN the apt because of noticeable entry marks would dissuade Bourne but waiting on the roof or an adjacent building does make more sense. And against the professor Bourne does look out the window and gauge where the most rational sniper position would be before moving. And killing the dog to not have it alert the family is logical... And 30x more things, but I am tired of the list.

Watching these videos for all the Bourne movies made me realize in the first film Marie dyes her hair and cuts it, in the second she has longer and lighter hair, and in the third Nikki cuts and dyes her hair. But Jason Bourne, the person they're after in every movie, doesn't ever do anything to alter his appearance. He doesn't wear a wig, he doesn't dye his hair, he doesn't grow out his hair, he doesn't grow a beard, he doesn't wear glasses, he doesn't wear a hat, etc.

"60 miles south of Marseilles" is a better reference than "200 [ballpark] miles east-northeast of Barcelona." Remove one sin, please! (Great stuff, by the way. Love all your videos.)

I thought it was cool that the assassin killed the dog, it was a warning to Bourne because it gave that particuliar assassin an identity other than that of just "assassin". That man had no quarrel with the family of the house, and invited Bourne outside because he was confident he'd kill him anyways.

I'm pretty sure the guy killed the dog so his presence wouldn't be given away. Yes, Bourne would see the obviousness in the situation but he was really in a no win situation there. Plus it made it better because his position wasn't given away so easily to his target and he could actually get a chance of killing Bourne. He failed but he took the logical path with the higher success rate. The best killer is one who is in control of his surroundings.

you got one wrong. He checks the evacuation plan whilst listening in to the guards radio chatter. He does this so he can get a layout of the building memorized, and understand where they're posting up. This is possibly one of the cleverest pieces of filming in an action sequence I've ever seen.

Marie seeing her picture on an interpol wanted sheet, especially now that she knows Bourne might be an assassin, is more shocking than seeing her picture on a paper found on the dead body of a stranger.

actually the BIGGEST sin of that film is that CIA agency was shown right after the beginning. you don't want to empathize Bourne, because of that CIA line. it's just gets drasctically less interesting when we already know that he is a former special agent.

Side Note: At 2:09 when talking about lack of security cameras, a point that always bothered me about this part in the film, he appears to clearly crosses one. It looks a bit like a pipe sticking out of the wall, but in all reality if this was an actual embassy would be one of about a dozen sealed PTZ or Fixed cameras with an apparatus mount on the building. Whats worse is in the shot he ACTUALLY MOVES RIGHT past it ... and in plain view of it, something that embassy surveillance would have spotted, called out, and had a dozen guards on him before he even hit the ground but ... Hollywood I guess. Rant Mode: OFF

I have a friend who became an army sniper. One test to get in was sitting a few hundred meters away from a 3 meter slit in a wall and watching it. Some time in the next 3 days someone would walk past that slit and if you didnt tag him with your laser rifle you fail. So that sniper shot the asset takes(someone well above normal sniper levels of expertise) isnt that far fetched.

You forgot a sin during the fire escape scene at the embassy. When Bourne kicks the door open and looks down, there's snow on the escape platform. When Bourne is climbing down to avoid being spotted, there's no snow. When the Marine looks down the fire escape, SNOW AGAIN!

I have some sins too: 1. When Bourne drops his backpack down the back ally at the american U.S. Embassy, hitting and knocking over what I believe is a security camera... WITHOUT alerting security guy who (should) watch the footage. 2. Said camera magically fix it self as Bourne climbing down the embassy. 3. This security footage NEVER end up being used/shown in the investigation.
