After many years away from Azeroth, I've just rolled a rogue in SoD and it's honestly the most fun I've had in WoW since my very first stealthy adventures back in the vanilla days. A bunch of us from way back when have reformed our guild and are venturing into Sunken Temple having a blast. It is so great not only to relive many of the immersive feelings of a whole world to explore, to have time to actually read quest texts and feel nervous venturing into Stranglethorn a bit underleveled, but also rekindle many friendships and make new ones a long the way. I just wanna say thank you to Simonize for all the great content, and the knowledge and enthusiasm you have for the game and the class. I am relearning how to rogue, and this is a great inspiration and help. Keep up the great work!
LOL I am loving the content!!! I have to give you massive props for giving links to EVERY topic that goes into crazy detail! Took me a couple hours to watch this video cause I kept pausing and watching more about what you just talked about!
I think you forgot Devilsaur. Even if we dont know how good it will be in SOD/P4 - currently the Leather is sold between 10-20g a piece - if it turns out to be good, the price will rise dramatically. I would be prudent to farm your 22 leathers or purchase them when they are low, ready to either dump them quick if dsaur is outclassed or use them for your dsaur set for crafting. As a grp with a skinner, the Dsaurs can be easily farmed in Ungoro and there is not much competition comparatively.
Yeah me and a buddy have been farming them here and there on my server, seem to be entirely uncontested and as an elemental sham and assa rogue we can handle them easily as a duo, leather fairly steady at 15g on my server and the crafted pieces already selling for 200g+
@@Muranight The damage has been done in a lot of cases though. Phase 3 has been a disaster, it has destroyed small guild/friend groups as well as the casual PUG nature of SoD.. now it feels more like a regimented structured game which frankly most people don't want from an MMO in 2024. Let's not even talk about the disaster that have been incursions, pumping in gold into the economy and inflating people's hard fought earnings into nothing.
If you want to save a lot of gold in p4 regarding thorium brotherhood, don't do the quests except the one that unlocks the repeatable ones which is the plan you have to loot next to Maltorius. I mean you can do the quests but don't turn them in until you get honored. To get friendly it's a bit expensive but nothing compared to what will come at honored. From friendly to honored it's a joke you can complete it very cheap and once honored you can turn in the quests. It's very profitable to do it this phase as we are stuck level 50 and don't get penalty reputation from being too high level for these quests. Btw we can't do the repeatable quests in BRD to get past honored if you wonder yet, only thing you can do is save up dark iron ores or bloods of the mountain for now
THE ALCHEMY TRAINER IN SILITHUS IS NOT AVAILABLE IN P3! So i think there is a HIGH chance that t.05 will not be available as they said they wanted to make mc a 20 man raid with new t1 sets, so they would have to make whole new t0.5 sets to keep up/ not make them useless anyway becaue the t1 sets will be proably much easier to get and better. so i do not see a chance of them being in there at p4 launch. t.05 was originally added for players which do not had the time to raid as some kind of "catch-up" mechanic for players.
I would love to do the prep simon and I believe they are good advices. But as an alliance hunter on lone wolf, I really doubt about the future, economy is still fucked, my server population was cut in half since phase 3, my class is getting nerf every phases, pvp factions are terribly unbalanced.
Very informative but alot of the rep stuff and all maybe useless but we will see! Hopefully they buff the stuff to keep it up to par with sod gear. Same with .5 tier.
From what i understand, we need to farm the blood heroes with an alchemist toon, am i right? since they are bind on pickup and needed for the ZG quest.
Not entirely necessary but in every iteration of Classic WoW, I make absolute bank by buying up Nature/Frost resistance items before the demand goes through the roof. And with the staggered level caps, Fire res items on my server are selling for almost nothing. But when people discover for the 50th time in 20 years that you need Fire Resistance to kill ol' Ragnaros...
I have a Question witch is the better rune for Multilate Focus Attacks or Combat Potency. Because you use the second and in Warcraft Logs the first 20 Top Rogues use Focus Attacks.
wondering if you have just a written list of all items that will be needed next phase so i can see what not to vendor/sell/delete. if not i'll make my own
i'd love to see them do something with thorium brotherhood and that fire resist gear but as it stands they cant even get tanks to build stam let alone bring elemental resist gear because it doesnt look as good on their WCL social credit score
I'm a full stam and reduction tank 79% reductions, 18% dodge, 8k hp buffed. I'm like a wall when melee run into me lol. I also already am building my fire resis set. I like to make my healers life easier over doing a couple hundred more dps.
@@evildark940 healers will regularly be like "i love this tank" while i'm leveling up my deep prot pali in dungeons. what this does in a 10-20-40 man context is unreal. you cannot trust pug healers to really heal you in the first place, why make your healing burden greater? it really makes no sense if your goal is to clear the content comfortably
Man... I hope they remove/change all the annoyances to get raiding. For the other things that require 1000s of items for rep or whatever, no thanks, I'm fine with the second best thing simply dropping from a raid/dungeon boss lol.
I have maxed out alchemy on my rogue - I hate paying for consumes. As a second main profession do you recommend learherworking or engineering for my rogue tank?
I’d say leatherworking for rogues generally but as a tank engineering is good for added aoe threat, I’d wait til we see what’s coming in phase 4, fingers crossed we finally get Fan of Knives and if that’s the case it might be safe to pass on engi
I just have a hard time believing any of this prep is necessary, theres most certainly going to be some crazy catch-up gear and whatever new raid released is going to be 1. Piss easy 2. Invalidating all of this pre-existing stuff I think blizzard lost the plot woth SoD, I'll def be enjoying cata soon though
Is it worth going through all the hassle to get darkmantle when nightslayer should be decent to get? What about strong non-dungeon set items that rival some of those pieces like the exalted wsg legs?
Darkmantle set bonus energy regeneration is very strong, but at the end of the day it's going to be up to you to decide which pieces are worth your time and effort on getting.
We dont know what items will be bis since blizzard is very likely to change the stats on many items from dungeons/raids just like they did in previous sod phases
@@adamgrabowski938 I hope so because i'm looking at the difference between shadowcraft and darkmantle shoulders, and it's only 2 agi and 1 stam. No bonus it hit or crit.
@jamespadgett8660 the main reason darkmantle was stronger than shadowcraft was due to the swapped set bonus. 4pc darkmantle was bis until fully Aq40 geared back in classic. It also scales really well with all other gear due to energy regen.
if the 0.5 set is in the game we'll be using the 4 set until deep into AQ40, some unlucky people will probably still be wearing it in Naxx. I hope it isn't in the game right at 60 as it's simply way too powerful for that content phase and will kill gear progression for the majority of SoD at level 60 for rogues.
I logged into cata for the first time in months to find that my server is empty. Blizzard offered free transfer but only to 3 mega servers so thats where the journey ends.
Oh I'm definitely gonna miss out, and enjoy missing out on blizzard selling gold with wow token, cool mounts added to the cash shop instead of in-game content, and paying dollars to race change to the new op race on top of the subscription I would already be paying for this decade-old content.
Heads up that 0.5T is not worth unless your indeed a Rogue like Simonize here. Other classes rarely bother with this set in Classic Era and in SoD Im sure they will buff dungeon items which will make the 0.5 an "alternative" for other classes but a must have for Rogues due to the proc set effect.
There is a good chance they willl buff the T0.5 sets, because blizzard knows it will keep players busy and its lazy content creation just to tinker with some item set values to keep the entire questline still relevant in SOD
@@flagermusen true but then again they are buffing MC loot and T1 bonuses will change so most likely that will be BIS for most but maybe not... However that 0.5T is a very long grind for most people and gold sink dont forget that
