Super Mario Bros. Direct: "Welcome to the flower kingdom, a not-so-distant land, right next to the mushroom kingdom." Switch Stop: "Huh I wonder if they are connected?"
The yellow badge has one on the screen that looks like a icon for invisible, I also know that the jet run is one of the ones as it has a yellow particle effect
10:27 glad you had mentioned that. I noticed it felt a little similar to Paper Mario: Origami King, like when you had to remove the streamers off peach’s castle. I supposed the cloud-looking piranha plants have a respective world where once you defeat the boss it will unlock some way to defeat Bowser which could potentially be a “world” on its own or just the final boss…
I think all the badges in the third category are ones that change the player. So we have the red ones, which give you new moves, blue ones, that give you boosts like more coins and yellow ones, which make you run permanently or turn you invisible.
nintendo tonight... its gone forever 😔 (nah but fr i think their main focus right now is getting switch stop back into full steam and then eventually work back into nintendo tonight episodes once switch stop is back on track)
I don't understand how I "missed" anything from the trailer, you're basically just doing a fanmade recap of the direct. Ehh to each their own. Good video. 5/10
Thanks for the time stamps! I always appreciate those. I think I saw in either the Completionist’s video or the treehouse one that the third badge category is called Expert Badges.
With this year being my first year of Work, the Game is very nice to see. Having something to look after, after Work is great and I cant wait to play it
Hey! I'm from the future and World 4 is called Sunbaked Desert, World 5 is called Fungi Mines and World 6 is called Deep Magma Bog! And instead there's 8 areas with the Special World which includes specials from Worlds 1,2,3,4,5,6 and Petals Isles as well as "The Semifinal Test Piranha Plant Reprise", "The Final Test Wonder Gauntlet" and "The Final-FINAL Test Badge Marathon"
0:58 There's actually 8 worlds. On the map with levels there's shown to be 8 circles (representing each world). This might be another world like Bowser, that'd be really funny if he was a world in this game. But it could just be 1 of the bonus worlds.
@@user-jl7xj5iz9k well if that's the bonus world I don't even wanna think what the levels will be like. This game is much more difficult than they were so it's gonna be a real challenge. Somewhere between mario 1 and TLL difficulty
I think Bowser will have his own world. Similar thing happened in 3D World, after all. You rescued the 7 Sprixies, then Bowser recaptures them all, and uses their magic to create The 8th world. So there being an 8th world in 3D World was meant to sort of be a twist. Maybe they're just trying to not spoil that here.
I think the third set of badges is going to be sort of an...internet mode. Invisibility sounds like a challenge run, running in the air is definitely for speedrunners, and I could see badges like "coins kill you" coming to the game too.
The Jet run badge and invisibility are Expert badges, if a non-playable character wants to visit the place like Captain Toad he can go there, and if other characters ehh, they can go without being playable, it depends on the character's themselves.
I have a few theories: What if the mushroom and flower kingdom united and that’s why the mushroom kingdom also has flowers as powerups. Poplins hate eating mushrooms meaning no mushrooms in the flower kingdom. And what if the shot of the wonder seed defeating one of the piranha plant clouds surrounding bowser means that one cloud piranha dies when you beat a world in a way
I believe the secret character is going to be Birdo, as a "hard mode" character, as she can recieve damage compared to the Yoshis, but woudnt be able to use items either
The color of the flowers that come out of the ability badge when you use it corresponds to the badge type so that means jet run is part of the third badge type
When they say not so distant land, if you look at 9:41 in the back left you can actually see the mushroom spires from the mushroom kingdom which makes me believe your right in that they are right next door to each other
I’ve just rewinded a bit and the invisibility and dash badge are seemingly (?) in their own category (they might be different ones but I think I’m right) so maybe the ones on the far right are challenging ones?
If you pause on the safety bounce badge description then you can see how you can still die as a baby mode character with one, you just have to be saftey bounced but then be unable to get back to the ground as it only activates once per fall
At 10:28 it looks like bowser gets weaken, so mabye you will be able to go into diffrent parts in (partialy) any order, and the goal will be to collect something/enough ofwonder seeds to obtain access to the castle and defeat bowser, there might even be a posibility for the last word or level to be inside of the castle. It's just my speculation and i don't know if i just think about it too much.
Hmmm.. i saw that thoose gohst pirana plants fit the exact 6 worlds. My theorie is that when you complete a world it removes one of the piranah plants. Just like paper mario origami king.
I assume the badges on the left will be for somewhat special badges. The badges we see in the selection screen kinda look like they would be for invisibility and the jet run
9:41 did you REALLY have to pause the narrator to mid-sentence, when he was literally about to say "RIGHT NEXT TO THE MUSHROOM KINGDOM", as well as the Mushroom Kingdom being clearly shown jn the bottom-left corner, and then insert a weird "they could have just said faraway land", which is just completly false?
