Ive always wanted to own horses deep down and i never knew why. Apparently my mom got thrown from a horse when she was pregnant with me. Maybe that has something to do with it. Lol

I've been asking for a horse for about 7 years now and I am 11 so about 4 is the first time I asked for my horse and my parents said that I would have to know everything to get it and that I have to help them to find me one and I showed my parents this video and they got me my first horse sugar a week and a half ago
I’m getting my first horse in a few months I’m. So excited this will definitely help! Also my horse will be keep at my place and we have huge paddocks so it won’t be that expensive.
I'm saving up to buy my horse, I'm thirteen and get money off my horse whos on part loan. I'm buying everything + the horse and then my mum pays our livery
I used to love horses but I have not been riding in 4 years and I have been dragged a part from them what is sad cuz I grow up with horses xx but I wanna get back in to them so that's why I am watching you and I think your amazing xx
I’m getting my first horse from my aunt and I work at the stables during the week so the yard have offered me a stable if I work all day on a Saturday for £110 (usually £450). All hay and feed are included. I’ve got insurance and we get discount on vets farriers and dentist as were on a yard! I’m so excited!
I’m getting two horses today (Ik crazy one for me and my sister). This time last year I never thought I’d have the opportunity to have my own horse, but you never know what’s around the corner ❤️
This has been so useful, I’ve always loved horses and I never knew why and I’ve always wanted to ride but when it first started we didn’t have the money but now I’ve been riding a year and a bit and I so badly want a horse, more than ever before... this video was so useful because I never really knew what I would need bar their tack, cleaning products and first aid and food so this video has really helped so thank you so much will definitely be saving it so I can look at it in the future!!! ❤️🐴😁
Ahhhhh, I want a horse so bad! They are just soo expensive! And currently don't have a place to keep it, we have a livery really close by but they are pretty expensive! We are thinking we might move to a farm but not to sure, I would love to be a equine vet when I'm older or a farmer, so hopefully i'll get one then!!!🐴❤🐴
Flawless Equestrian I know I just like seeing others opinions and I thought it would be helpful to many of her viewers as not everyone rides horses or owns one
@@kaylaspeener1961 No, do not wear steel toed boots, those are super heavy and you won't be able to fit them into your stirrups. Who told you to wear steel toed boots?
@@anakruger2412 ive been wearing them all the years ive been riding, they arent heavy as its a rather thin steel part, just to prevent injury if the horse steps on you. maybe im just calling them the wrong name and in that case my bad
I’m getting my first pony after a year of leasing horses and ponies since I first started. Can’t wait for this 7 month period of waiting to be up! And great video! Helped a lot :)
My father rescued a horse just today! It’s like 12AM right now. She’s a female, and she’s pregnant! She’s on her 7th month now, we haven’t named her yet, we got a couple of names to choose from: Rosette, Amber, Millie or Lady. She’s beautiful. She was always in a cramped space with a lot of other horses. Glad dad brought her when he did, I’ve never taken care of a horse. I’m trying to learn through E-books and RU-vid videos. Thank you for this video! Wish me luck. :)
EH Horse depends if you have your own yard or planning to got to livery or DIY . Diy I cheaper but a lot of work and livery you have help if you need someone to look after your horse when you r unable
This is so helpful when I got my first horse I watched this video and made sure I had everything and I still needed some stuff that I didnt have and I got the stuff and my first horse was a success
I have always loved the idea of horse riding and everything since i was 1, and I god thrown off a horse 4 years ago and I never got the chance to get back on, the other day my dad was listing things he’s gonna sign me up for n how good it’s gonna b n I was like “but what about horse riding” n he told me that I’ll do that with my own horse once he buys one.
I don’t have stables, I have a building with bunny’s chickens goats pigs and stuff and they can go outside whenever they want in a HUMUNGUS feilds. The inside part has shavings on the ground and two things on the walls for food and water. I also own two mini horses in there own things with the same things. We have saddles and everything they need as well. They can also go outside whenever they want, but we are going to put gates for the horses stalls and things to keep the heat in. Instead of hay nets we put the hey in the corner of the stall. We are getting another mini horse and a Black Friesan. They are coming with tack. Is all this ok for the horses?
Thanks! I’m getting my horse tommorw! I already have a bridle though! But I’ll get the rest of the stuff you suggested! Thanks again! Bye! PS: I live your channel
so detailed and so helpful thank you so much. i have always dreamed of having a horse im currently working 2 jobs and saving up my uni loans, hoping to be all set up sometime next year.
I loan but its a full loan and I only have to pay for its hay load and how much it cost per week or month I pay £180 per month then about I think I pay for 80 bales a year which everyone uses (that way I get free lessons and any fun days or anything) and it works out really good because if I ever got a horse I wouldn't be able to feed and do a morning routine so the stablehands let out my loan horse and feed and anything else in the morning then I go at night
You're lucky. I have been riding for ten years and I still haven't loaned or bought a horse. Hopefully. I just got a job and we're going to see a horse for sale this weekend!
I really want a horse, however I'm moving to Poland in 2 years and with the situation right now I can't loan one however hopefully I'll manage to loan out a horse for the last couple years in England and then maybe buy a horse in Poland, but my family isn't particularly educated about horses and think the cheapest things you can get is the best so I might get one once I move out :( but that won't be for anothet 4/6 years
Found this really helpful, would also love more 1st horse videos such as things you need to make sure you get from the old owner (e.g. passport and do you need a bill of sale?). Anything that people might not think off as I'm an experienced loaner, but don't have a clue about owning haha x
There’s a horse training and boarding place near me, but it’s 320 per month for indoor stables and 220 per month for outdoor.. wouldn’t that be too cold for the horses in winter? You’d think you would have access to both
I had horses till I was about 14 when we moved into town and could no longer own them. But I got out on my own and have my acreage and purchased a horse, of course I have all his needs, but I feel so rusty when it comes to horse things.
The horse in the thumbnail looks like mine, has the same markings on her body and a blaze. I’m bringing my girl home from boarding soon so I think it must be a sign lol Also I’m new here, this video was very helpful :)
Is DIY livery when you do everything for your horse yourself so you are just paying to keep your horse on there land and if it is how many times a day do you have to go down to see your horse and do necessary jobs? 😁
Here's the thing, I have zero expierance with horses, but I've always loved horses since I was small and I want to own a couple horses when I get older. I know that it takes a lot of money to own horses, but there's not much in explaining how to start off. Every video I watch, people grew up with horses or they've taken lessons or stuff. I'm completely new to owning horses, and having my own place for them. I was wondering if you guys could spill me with tips, the saddles you use, monthly costs for your own horse, grooming hacks, barn tips and hacks, and so on. It's hard to explain but basically, I'm a city girl growing up with a goal to have my own horse farm, just mine.
NonSocial Weirdo if you don’t have experience things will get very dangerous very quickly you should have a lest 2 years experience with lessons and helping out in the yard .
Thank you! This helped a lot. I really wanna horse and I’m going to ask my parents about adopting a Welsh pony. I don’t know why I wanna horse but I do. I don’t really care if I can’t ride it 😂😂 I just wanna own one
I don't actually own a horse but I do loan my first tip is to plan everything out I planned a routine (morning and night routine) and how everything was going to work out. my second tip is to decide what type of riding you want to do and what sort of facilities you will need. my third tip is to have a back up plan so if you horse was to become ill how would you afford its treatment and so on. my fourth tip is to right down everything you will need to get the horse. I also bought everything is bulks of things like when I started I bought 50 bales of hay (which only game to £!00) but I didn't have to worry about hay for a year
I feel so lucky like , instead of pay ££££ for hay I get mine £2:50 per bale plus I get to see it been planted, grown and harvested because the farmer is our next door neighbor , and his field is next to ours,it’s also really good hay my horses love it 😊
Hi I’m thinking about buying a horse soon and I have a few questions and would be thankful if someone could answer them? Do livery yards normally provide forks brushes wheelbarrows etc as you here are more than one person? Do they normally provide the main feeds like the basics? Whats roughly the price of a normal livery yard per month? Thanks
I really want a horse😩 and I might get one soon but honestly I'm a bit nervous. does your horse need to be like worked out everyday? is it okay to not work them out everyday but have a field that they can grays in. im just a bit nervous😟😟😟I mean I still want a horse so bad and if I get one I'll be so happy no one can imagine I'm just a bit nervous
I know this is late, But I want a horse and I’m not allowed because we cannot afford it. It’s not my family’s fault that they can’t afford it but it makes me mad, I see people who Don’t even work for horses and get given them just because they want one. Then a few months later The person sells the horse because they got bored and it was just a phase, I love horses, But another part of me just thinks I’m jealous 😶😞 Anyways, Great video! ILYSM ❤️
Same. Although I do have 2 of my own horses I have most definitely worked for them. I have rode since I was 3 and I am 13 now. I got my first horse when i was 12. And before that I took lessons all the time and worked at a couple different barns. I am so glad my parents waited to get me a horse because I learnt so much when I did not have my horses! I hate when I see all these you tubers and others just getting a horse when they haven’t done any lessons and haven’t worked at all for it! Also I hate when a green rider gets a green horse.!! Maybe you should try getting some jobs at like some barns and stuff and maybe you will be able to get enough money for your own horse just a suggestion! Also you can sometimes find a great horse for as little as 1200! Also if you work at a barn you can usually ask them for free board instead of getting paid🤷♀️ just suggestions, good luck with getting a horse!!
If I bored I’m still going to get a horse no matter what I do but it’s gonna have to be in a few years like 10 or something and thanks for the tip!!!!!!!!!!
I searched up the reaction of ppl getting there horses cuz my dad has a farm back home and he told me that there is a horse there for me cuz I rlly wanted one and I started crying cuz I’m happy
