You know what i actually liked the last part of the video, where you showed us how a design could get redesigned into better version. I really want you to make a video on the redesigning part please. In what ways a design can be better ? We, all the designers, are looking for the answer. Please Please make some videos on that.
You should totally do a video going over what people have done with that last picture. Have them send it in and than critique it, talking about what’s done wrong and right and what would make it better. I think that would be a fun series anyways
Really been following a lot of your videos, your lessons are so practical and easy to understand wish you could make a detailed video of these design principles they really help especially for us new bies in this field

Am i the only one who didn't like the nike poster ? There is nly one focal point, where there is shoe image Other than that, nothing else seems interesting, seems like some random shapes used. There is no hierarchy.. Though the multiple geometrical shapes can be used but in this case it is just not looking nice. I m learning gd now, but this is what i felt about it. N i liked the adidas one shown at last. Image caught the attention first. And then the text. We can't adopt all principles in every design i guess. Thanks a lot for sharing these knowledge. I was looking for some resource regarding principles n fundamentals of GD.
I don't know about the examples you gave us in the last part of the video..Both examples killed the meaning or story of the background image. Yet, I don't know how to make the text readable.
In the shop UI: would it be a valid point, if I said that nearly everything on the bottom has hard edges in terms of shapes while the logo and the icons next to the logo are rounded? Just something i thought of and I'd like to hear your opinion. :)
yes and no. Contrast is a graphic design principle simply because it works. It is a tried and tested approach to design and exists for many valid reasons. However, it will not resonate with everyone, but it will with the majority, hence why it exists.
@@SatoriGraphics I think maybe they thought it to be more important to see the Nike Logo than the shoes? Yea, but that was my first thought, why put black shoes over a black background.
“Most Designers CANNOT SPOT ALL OF THESE!” 👎 Any decent designer with some 101 education knows about these: these are the very basics (gestalt), nothing so extraordinary.
In what way the amount of like and dislike is a confirmation of a point of view? Of course beginners find this as something “unique” and like the video. I agree with the fact that these principles are important, but the title is a bit of a clickbait, from the perspective of some who studied (at least) the basics.
