I would like to see the original EC as a device that threads on to an existing 5/8 x 24 and allows moderator usage (suppressor). Brilliant product, Mr. Cortina!
eric received my turner on a saturday of last week, took it to the range on monday i can't believe what this does after adjusting turner all my shots were under quarter. what a great product.
Erik: I've got my EC Tuner Brake mounted on my .30-06 Howa (sporting barrel). I went through the process with it yesterday. At #20, it shoots under .5". I put paper out at 300 yards and shot a 1-1/4" group. Now... I realize that in the great scheme of things, this isn't the kind of group that would turn your head... but this is a 7-pound, 400-yard, elk rifle. Thanks and both of my thumbs are up.
Received mine in the mail last week ! The candy sucker was great !! 👍🏽. Installed it as per Eric’s instructions and went out and shot a few ! The tuner does really help shrink my groups ! I am very happy with it ! Thanks EC for a great product !! 🤙🏽
OK Mr. Cortina, I finally got time and conditions to do a little work. First I tried some 147 gr military crap and shot OK with adjustments to 6. Then I used “Atomic” 168 gr I bought at Perry. At position #6 I held .525@ 100. I only shot 30 rds. Lol. It works. I may find tighter groups yet but I like it already. (DPMS LAR ) Thanks. I like your videos.
Not too long ago, I finished building a 6mm ARC longe-range bolt gun with every intention of testing the EC Tuner brake with all 3 of the Hornady ammo offerings (Black, Match and Precision Hunter). I got 2 boxes of each and thoroughly tested everything and was shocked at how effective this tuner was. Groups using the Hornady Precision Hunter had little improvement, but the Match and Black responded remarkably well with the Black being basically 1-hole groups almost impossible to measure and the Match ammo tuning to .234 !!! I will not be reloading for this cartridge. I bought every single bit of the lot numbers I could get my hands on and will simply enjoy shooting this gun and just sell the brass since once-fired brass is an easy sell anyway.
I'm sure there are a ton of guys like myself that would love to hear more in depth detail about the C.H.BC.... Combustion... Harmonics... Ballistic (freedom seeds) concept .. or procedure. Showing the procedure on how to get low ES first.... then show the procedure of the harmonics... (seating depth). You have done well already about the seating depth... but can you show the best and quickest way to get low ES...? Thanks so much... you have GREAT STUFF... KEEP IT UP.
Hi Erik--Just received your 30 cal Tuner/Brake. The concept is just fantastic, a tuner with a muzzle brake AND you don't have to have your barrel remachined. I have wanted a tuner for many years but I didn't want to have the barrel threads redone and your Tuner/Brake was just what I was looking for!! The quality is top notch! I am excited about trying this out (as soon as it stops raining)!! Great Channel and great videos. Keep up the good work!!
A silencer version of this would have me especially intrigued. Still, I'm planning on grabbing one of these for my 6 ARC and maybe for my dad's recent fancy .308. If you plan on doing one of these in 6 mm I'd love that info.
Just purchased an ECTuner Brake in 6.5mm for my Rem 700 in 22.250. Thanks for responding to my previous emails. Looking forward to getting my load dialed-in for my next varmint hunting trip out west this Summer. Let us know when they become available in black! Thanks again, Erik.
I got my today I did put it on my bergara b14 hmr on 308 and firt shot when 0.7 mils up I did ajust it down 7 click and shot 3 round for grouping and I have to tell you shot basically one hole so I didn't have the courage to move the tuner open down way set up number 0 so I'm from Argentina the ammo here is pretty expensive and hard to fine I did use the hornary match ammo later on I will tryout longer shots for red stag season. Thanks for this product very impressive
I agree with the comments regarding no muzzle brake. I believe that the world is going to suppressed rifles (ok well at least Texas) and being able to use the tuner with a suppressor would be great
Not sure if you will see this Eric, but I received the stainless brake/tuner yesterday and shot it today….Wow! Tikka T3TacA1 in a 6.5 Creed…this was a really honest 1/2 MOA rifle with no problem…..setting of 4.5 and this is shooting .25” 5 shot groups all day long now….totally sold on this product….I’ll be ordering another one for my 6GT Open rifle now! Thanks for an awesome product….oh yeah, much better recoil management with this brake vs. the Tikka factory brake as well…gonna be a real hammer in PRS Production Class 🍻
WORTH IT'S WEIGHT IN GOLD! I threw it on did some load work up found a good load 144 Berger and H4350 SD of 2.4 on my magneto speed. Loaded up 30 rounds took the magneto speed off and started fine tuning.3 shot groups starting at 1 to 8. Found it grouped well at 4 and 5. So I split the difference and wow! 5 shot group @.18 inches and .22 inches. Absolutely amazing product.
@@ErikCortinaHi Erik, I recently, last week, bought a M18x1 SS black EC tuner brake throughthr Spanish dealer. Apparently, my gun barrel has a M17x1 thread. Is there a solution for it. A converter or can you do tuner brakes with a M17x1 screw thread? Best regards,
Thanks. I'm still waiting for time to pick the ammo the gun likes and tune it. Hopefully taking her on a Nilgai hunt next year. I can attest to the brake working. She said it felt slightly more than her mini 14. No flinching and no bruising.
Just want to say thank you for all your effort and time to show us about reloading as your videos learned me a lot and convinced me to get my reloading setup ready for when I get my rifle.
Once you get them in black, I'll be a customer! I'm a Patreon subscriber and would have ordered one early but the only rifle I'd put one on it would look off. Another idea would be one that accepts the same threads but you can still put your own brake on. I currently use a JP Recoil Eliminator on my 6.5mm CM and it looks ridiculous but I really like how it performs on my rifle. I'm able to keep my shots in view throughout the entire shot.
very rarely a product works as advertised...EXCEPT THIS ONE WORKS 1000 PERCENT. BUY IT FOLLOW THE VIDEO AND SHRINK YOU,R GROUPS, BIG TIME...Thanks Eric just bought a new EC for my 338 lapua
Great product mate , could you please do a video on scopes and magnification needed for f class / long range shooting ? Love everything you post keep it up mate 👍 Cheers
This is great idea browning has had similiar system on their rifles for decades but cannot add as aftermarket. Not sure how effective would be on ar systems but for bolt accurate guns could be a plus.
I was like, why does this guy look like the guy that bosses leroy around on the Texas barnominiums Lol. So glad I found this channel, lot of great useful information I’ve seeing. Do you have a cooking channel as well so I can just cancel my cable all together lol. Hope you have a great wonderful successful 2021.
you should make a smaller version for the ar15, you would make a killing cause there are a lot of those rifles and a bunch of ppl who are not precision shooters but would like to have it just to get their rifles tuned in other words( a bunch of suckers who dont really need this product but would buy it anyways) XD count me in on the suckers group
Got something like the Browning boss I can testify the boss works and works good my boss is on a Browning a bolt ll long range Hunter 7mag IV got it where I can shoot 150 -165-or ,175 just by adjusting the boss not the scope so I'd bet anything that break he's got will work two
Here's everything I need to know about my E.C.TUNERBRAKE on my AR-15 BOLT ACTION 6mm ARC. * on zero, about an inch * on two, just over half inch * on four, about .360 inch " on setting six, two shots same hole, so I fired a third shot just to make sure it wasn't coincidence or luck, nope, I'm good on setting six.
I don't understand how you get better groups. The whole concept? I was shopping for a brake when I saw this video. Any help in understanding how it does this would be great. Love what you are doing and thanks for all the great videos and help!
THAT IS AWESOME!!!! Love what your doing for the gun community and what a hell of a product. I will be ordering one tomorrow!! ... maybe more if i can sneak it past the wife LOL. Thanks Eric, Seriously!!!
Great news, having to find someone to cut my barrel for the original was a serious impediment to getting one. Have you considered offering a tuner without brake that threads on like this one? Basically an original tuner that can thread on the barrel without having to do the custom barrel work.
Ah! I took mine off (.22 caliber)as where I live the ammo supplies are random and cannot get the same ammo brand all the time, as I was wasting ammo trying to tune up every time I got a different brand. Just my take in the real world.
Eric, So I was on your webpage last night 5/11/22 to order another tuner brake when I discovered I forgot my login password, so after going through the steps, I then discovered your purchase site either could not or did not send me a completed 'Change My Password Page', so I could not. I guess your site did not receive my payment via Venmo either. Sorry I can't pay via PayPal, they closed my account, for some unknown reason. So why cant we purchase via credit/Debit cards or why can't we purchase as a guest? Otherwise I impressed with the first brake and want to install them on all my bolt rifles now.
Eric, could you do a video with and without the ec brake "brake" performance? as in how much movement, rise, recoil, the rifle has with the ec brake and nothing. thank you.
@@CamaroZ28Nut3 I don't understand how making that small of an adjustment really affect the harmonics that much, given how quickly the "harmonic pulse" is moving back and forth.
how about making the original but work on barrels smaller than .850 I generally don't like muzzlebrakes. or consider having one that works with a suppressor.
