I mean. I spend basically $100 each set (the pass and the mega bundle), which is less than half of what I used to spend on Yugioh, and it gets me every card from an xpac, or almost every card. I got everything last set, and I'm only missing like 3 legends from the last three sets. I also currently have 15k dust that I haven't used yet, and 16 out of 25 legends from the current set.

@@ShadowmancerLord it's still a shit load of money. That's 5 triple A games per year which you keep forever. Cards in Hearthstone constantly get overshadowed by new powercreep cards and after all it's online game so one day servers will shut down and your cards will be forever gone.

@@projectx5154 True, but if they're having fun with it NOW, and have the money to do that. Who cares? I've played WoW for roughly 16 years, and one day all the sub money I spent, which is roughly $2,880. One day that game will be long gone, and even if it is around for a while yet I have since stopped playing. But I also put a lot of time into it. Thus I got my money's worth. Each person can individually decide how much something is worth to them. Triple A games tend to be pretty bad these days anyway, in my opinion. Unless you like the millionth edition of COD (if you do, then more power to you) So, eh.

Nathria has Signature Golden packs (with the 1/14 pity timer for signature cards), FoL just has regular Golden packs (with a 1/40 pity timer for signature cards).

The only set that has signature packs is March of the Lich King. Which have a 14-pack pity timer. Every other set has regular golden packs, which are on a 40-pack pity timer.

This is also why a golden pack costs 400g and the MLK signature packs cost 500g. They have increased signature card drop rate.

@@AndrewDy FoL golden packs are not signature golden packs! Yes, they can drop signature cards, but that is because everthing about signature cards got reworks including drop rates in packs.

Yeah I think the Signature Golden packs are a lot better than what is stated here due to the 15% rate on signature legendaries for only 100 more gold

I'm not sure if I did this correctly but here are my rough calcs for signature golden packs (assuming all rares and commons are worth dust only and assuming all legendaries and epics you would have crafted non golden if you didn't open them) For first 10 packs = 5000 Gold 1.5 signature legendaries, 1 golden legendary, 2 golden epics, 37 golden commons, 8.5 golden rares 2.5*1600+2*400+37*50+8.5*100=7500 dust value (actually slightly higher since the probability of signature legendary and epic is a bit higher that what I calclated here) vs 50 regular packs (not counting guaranteed legendary in first 10 since every player should've opened at least 10 regular packs through normal gameplay) 2.5 legendaries, 10 epics, 175 commons, 62.5 rares 2.5*1600+10*400+175*5+62.5*20=10125 dust value (actually higher since this doesn't account for golden cards you could get in normal packs) After the first 10 gold packs you are only getting 0.5 gold legendaries every 10 packs so the value goes down to 6700 dust. Now since most epics are not useful and there isn't a bonus to collecting most of them unlike with legendaries if you consider epics to to be worth dust value only then the regular packs go down to 2.5*1600+10*100+175*5+62.5*20=7125 dust value (actually higher since this doesn't account for golden cards you could get in normal packs) So if you open 2 or more useful epics you would've crafted in the regular packs then regular packs come out ahead. Otherwise they are a bit behind the first 10 signature golden packs but always better than the signature golden after the first 10. Lastly if most legendaries aren't useful to you and you have no chance of getting the legendary collector achievement for the diamond one and you are looking for pure dust only then I think it's roughy 110 dust per packs which works out to 5500 dust so signature golden is better for pure dust

That's what I've been doing. If you've already gotten enough cards to build the decks you want, they show in this video that gold packs are more dust efficient. So at least getting the guaranteed legendary seems worth to me, especially if you actually like gold cards. I just need to get my castle nathria legendary and then I'll be stopping to save up for the next mini set/expansion. But if you still have a pretty incomplete collection and are low on dust, the increased quantity of epics and legendaries from normal packs should probably be the priority.

As said in the video, it's good for being able to dust the Legendary or two and get whichever one you want. But you lose out on some Epics. It seems easier for me to refuse because I have more spare Dust than usual, but if someone has no Dust and reeeeeeally needs to craft one Legendary then yeah, I can see it as worth it. Situational, for sure.

Bundles have the free legends and sigs I always just buy a good bundle every week and it seems to best

There is a difference between golden packs and signature golden packs??? I thought they were the same…im so confused

@@Madrinass Unfortunately yeah. Signature Golden Packs were only used in the March of the Lich King expansion (when Signature cards were first introduced but couldn't be disenchanted). In these packs, the chance of getting a signature legendary was 15%, and guaranteed within 14 packs of the previous one. Every other set since has just used Golden Packs, which have the 5% chance of getting a Signature legendary, and guaranteed within 40 packs of the previous one. I assume they stopped using the Signature Golden Packs because players wanted to disenchant their signature cards, and these packs would have made them almost as common as Epic cards (Epic cards have a 21% chance of appearing in packs) and thus would give players much more dust for crafting.

Yeah it's basically a 50/50 shot whether you get a Signature or a Gold legend from them iirc and it has the 40 pack pity timer as well.

@@k1mer It's a separate pity timer for each set. I got a gold legend in my 10-set from the preorder bundle.

@Ali Super I meant it when you already bought every miniset with gold and opened every 10 packs from each expansion. I personally never disenchant every card from minisets some of them are pretty good or at least have a fun mechanic that could be busted in wild.

if u are not into getting most of the card from the expasion , then buying golden packs might be a good option only if u dust them all to get your specific card. its a way to trade gold to dust. They also mentioned that ingame currency has a lower ratio of dust profit than real money

They are separate, but the packs in the store rn are regular Gold, not Signature

2 golden packs with gold

That pity timer of 14 exists only for golden signature packs (500 gold) from March of the Lichking as far as I know and you can't disenchant those signature cards! From Festival of Legends onwards, signature cards have the exact same drop rate as golden legendaries, give the same amount of dust and can be optained from golden packs (400 gold) and normal packs (100 gold)

Yeah its guaranteed within 14 if you buy golden signature packs, you get one guaranteed within 40 if its just regular golden packs afaik

No, it doesn't. Because drop rates in Golden and Signature Golden are different. You need to spend 3500 for it

This is one of the best deals in the game and yes, you will get more value for less money. I always recommend buying a $20 bundle that contains 2 legendary cards. Potentially you get 2 legendary cards as a bonus + 1 legendary card + 4 epic cards on average and also 1100-1400 dust.
