Clownfish blew up in popularity thanks to a certain movie, but here are World Wide Corals we are have always loved these brightly colored fish. With their size, easy to feed diet, and instinct to pair off, Clownfish make a great addition to your saltwater aquariums! Victor & Stephen take turns going over the most frequently asked questions that cover everything you need to know to about clownfish care.
Then, it's time to finally add the clownfish pairs to the large display tanks at World Wide Corals. Our 1,200 gallon lagoon and 1,500 gallon show tank are both receiving a pair of clownfish from Proaquatix.

@World Wide Corals I just bought 2 black storms,very expensive, for my newly cycled aquarium I used Dr Tims,plus Prime/Stability and its been almost 4 days now,and the clowns are looking better and exploring more each day I have live rock and carribsea life rock The clowns are babies,but so active, especially the smaller 1 I'm going to do a water change tomorrow, my 1st,I'm afraid to do 10%,I'm thinking 5% They are small and live alone in a 450 litre aquarium Any tips or advice please? Thanks in advance ☺️

Personally - I don’t like the snowflake or designer clownfish. They look like a fish that is sick with the colours fading to white. Or if I want a white fish with a few random small spots - I can buy a $3 molly or platty instead of a $300 designer clownfish. But the most terrifying prospect is if these designer clowns get released into the wild and pollute the wild strains with these horrible patterns. Basically turning one of the most beautiful fish in the hobby into one of the most plain looking. I sincerely hope I’ll still be able to buy a common clownfish in 20 years as its my favourite fish.

Question, I had a pair of clowns.. the female died but I still have the male. Would I be able to find him a new female he would accept or is he a forever bachelor? He is 5 yrs old.

At this point, I would go the other way and allow the male to change into a female. You can do this by adding a much smaller clown (1/2 the size). The smaller clown which is already a male will cause your existing male to go through the transition.

usually when you buy clownfish they have the same size you will never find a couple in the pet store because they buy them with multiple heads

Will it be a bad idea to have 7 clowns in one tank? They will be all oscellaris but one naked, one midnight, one snowflake, and the rest regular. They will all be out in the tank at one time. Will they eventually fight?
