I'm seeing a lot of conflicting info online re whether or not the s24 series will charge at 15 Watts on qi2 chargers. As I understand it s24 series are are qi (qi-1) certified, and are rated at 15 watts, and recent qi-1 chargers can charge at 15 watts. Seems strange that qi2 charger would not be able to charge an s24 at 15 watts? For reference I would be using an s24 ultra with a magsafe case. I'm aware of the issues with the magnetic accessories interfering with the s-pen.

In theory yes the S24 Ultra can support up to 15w wireless charging with Qi, but my understanding is that is it charger dependant. Not all Qi chargers charge at 15w. Whereas with Magsafe & Qi2 the standard is 15w wireless charging.

So the case for you S24 Ultra has magsafe rings to allow for the strong attachment, correct?

Yes the case has the magnetic rings on the inside.

If using an iPhone 15 Pro on a car charger but Qi2 unit what about the input? Do you have to get a higher powered adapter?

Yes you will need a minimum of a 15w charger to get 15w Magsafe charging.

What are the pros and cons of buying a magsafe wireless charger to charge my s24 Ultra (in a magsafe phone case)? Would the charging still be at 15W?

No the S24 Ultra won't charge at 15w via Magsafe. The S24 Ultra also isn't Qi2 so it can't use Qi2 to charge at 15W. Magsafe is more expensive to buy because it's MFi certified (made for iPhone) so you'd be better to buy Qi2 and future proof yourself for the next device to have Qi2 as standard.

Qi1 is 5W-15W, Qi2 is 15W (and is capable of even more in the future). I have a Qi1 charger from spigen that is 15W.

As the Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra does not have built in magnets so a magsafe case / ring has to be used the question is if this is not built in what could be the possible ramifications for the internal components of the Samsung phone 🤔

I assume by batteries you mean magnets? Samsung will have to address the issues that the S Pen currently has with magnet interference from mag cases.

@MichaelsTechTalk Lol yeah sorry my bad. I've edited my reply. True, some do interfere with the sPen usage , however I'm also wondering if using magsafe items can negativity impact on the internal components such as the motherboard, etc 🤔

@@Lee-tt9fe I’d say no, iPhones have been using them for years with no issues so I don’t see it being a problem.

@MichaelsTechTalk Thank you. I use a UAG Monarch Pro Kevlar Magsafe case with my Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra so just thought I'd ask.
