It’s a fun little distraction but ultimately most games are determined on turn 5 and 6. Sometimes it feels like glorified rock paper scissors with crazy RNG.
@@MrJustinTGreene Not really unless you run into mirror match ups. Once you get out of pool 1 cards (pool 1 is like the starter set) you will see more deck variety and more defined archetype. Usually people will scoop if certain locations are just fucked for their deck, so turn 4 ish. The main thing in Marvel Snap is learning when to scoop and when to double down (snap).

This game reminds me of backgammon, and the doubling dice. I really love how it's less about building an op deck and more about about purely out playing your opponent, even if outplaying you opponent means knowing you've lost and retreating. Good stuff.

I love this game as every game is different. Even though you play the same deck, the locations allow for varieties and different game plans. Love you variety. Also wait till you unlock further pools as cards become crazier and crazier :))

The strategy aspect looks great, but I seriously could not care less about superheroes. Have fun with it, Mogwai, and everyone else trying it out! p.s.: Extra credits to the creators, it looks like they are trying to create an actually good game, and not just trying to cash in on a franchise.

The game is quite similar to Gwent. I played it for a few days and I liked it, but the RNG can be obnoxious. Some locations can really screw you (effects like playing a random card from hand are ridiculous). When I tried to play my discard deck for the first time, I learned the hard way that you can't even pick the card to discard, it just discards one at random, just like in Hearthstone (Ben Brode is working on the Marvel Snap, so it's probably not a coincidence).
The rules are very similar to The Young Jedi card game which was the last thing Decipher put out for Star Wars in 99 and 2000. It was a scaled-down version of their card game based on the original trilogy and focused only on Episode One, the game did NOT last long it had a base set and two sets that followed and that was it. I enjoyed it. It was a fun little game, I like how SNAP has tweaked some of the mechanics with the locations having game effects on game play. I tried it and had to delete it because I needed space for work apps and this was before I got my SD card to expand my memory so I wouldn't mind getting back to it again. I liked it a lot.
You have to get the board game (or in steam but less fun) Smash Up, it´s the game marvel got inspired to make Snap. 3 Locations, different deck combinations. best board game ever.

I want to add that default ranking gaming without unranked matches is a perfect decision combining with something you can bet (cubes). It adds feeling of playing with real person with real bet. It also reduceq queue time I guess

Feels like Smash Up with a mana system. I don't think the game's for me, there's a lot of things I don't like, but happy for Miguel to get the sponsorship. I remember LoR also having a limit on buying cards with real money and it was mostly just complained about by content creators and more competitive players until removed while not really affecting the average casual, f2p or low spender much if at all.

Hey Mogwai, been watching your runterra content for a while now and have loved the way you deck build. I was a little hesitant on snap at first because I had heard that the matches were very short and I was worried there wouldn't be many opportunities for strategy, but have changed my mind about it after watching the match in the video. Definitely gonna try it out!

I've been playing snap, cuz I saw you playing it lol. Its an ok card game. I see it as solitaire. It can occupy my time but its not as engaging as a Runeterra or Yu Gi Oh.
Game looks great, but the vertical format on PC bothers me a lot, it just seems so lazy to me, they could just have moved some elements to the corners and expand the camera, I understand boards would have to be made bigger, but still, makes it look like one of the laziest PC ports I've seen
First i thought the adds were just another super hero based game, then caught a video, played it and got hooked. After that i thought that many LOR youtubers such as yourself would love it and come up with the craziest ideias despite the 12 card limit. Sure enough, here we are
