Defending anything in any game (or even in reality) is always easier than attacking. There is no pressure to take a room, no need to move too much, and far less traps and flanks to worry about. So allowing the attacking team to choose operators during the prep phase will definitely balance site matchups and we will certainly see a much more even fight.

It lowkey destroys the game for me too but at the same time nothing much really changes, most people bring hard breachers because of bandits and kaid already so I don’t really feel like it’s unfair
Bring down the defender side? Just work your way around when they have a counter defender. Thats whats good about the game. Now every match wil be the same because they can just repick.
@@WE-WUZZING-KANGS-N-SHEEOYT it actually isnt...defenders have time on their side and people in lower ranks like gold tend to fake the site they are holding and sometimes it helps defender waste time...attack repick is actually balancing this odds...also some operators are gonna get picked more like if you know they are going in Chalet: Garage, why not bring a Glaz or a Kali ?? its actually the first balanced change they have made in years...

As someone who plays duo-queue every time, I love the attacker repick… a lot of the times I end up picking the “wrong” operator because my teammates are not communicating and they only pick the operator in the last second… so we end up with either two hard-breachers, or none lol
@@gaflippersofficial9007 I know that… But it would still make more sense for 6th pick to be in the game instead of an entire team just repicking everything and the defense gets nothing.
the only other solution I can think of is attackers knows what site the defenders picked so then you get the attackers that work well with that site it's a difficult aspect to balance due to the nature of attack/defense game modes
@@kdubfresh23 that’s what 6th pick is my dude. It reveals everyone’s operators, and the site. One person per team can switch OPs if they so choose. They implemented it into pro league but I idea why they wouldn’t put it in the base game for everyone else.
regarding 16:00, there was a bug where you could be smoke, pop your canister and leave. The issue was that there was no punishment AND the enemy team would win the round BUT it wouldn't appear on the scoreboard meaning the enemy team would win the casual game with just 2-0 and games could potentially end in a 0-0 score.
There are currently 21 bravo packs in the battle pass. There are 150 items you can obtain in it. By default, you have a ~15% chance of getting a black ice. Every pack you open that *isn’t* a black ice, it will increase your chance of getting one by ~0.5%. Did the math on this myself, if you find that I’m wrong, let me know. I’m just putting this on various siege related videos, bc I think people will find it interesting.
Never felt more excited about a new season in siege. Definitely gonna push rank to reach diamond for the charm although I just hope the grind doesn’t feel imposible due to everyone using Zen/Xim on console.
It seems weird that the solution for defense having a higher win rate is to just make it so attack can see the defensive side's hand and then if attack doesn't have a optimal hand they can just reshuffle their hand. Defensive sides will almost always have an advantage in an attack-defend mode it's an inherent aspect of the mode, and I'm unsure if this is the right way to approach this
@@elmoszn1280 Being able to see what someone is bringing and then change to counter it or change your composition because you picked the wrong ops for the wrong site isn't fair. But that's the point I'm making this type of game mode is almost always unfair to some degree, now it'll just more in favor of attack
@@lllXanderlll well yeah I understand that but I honestly thing it will be more fair cause say if someone didnt bring a Thatcher and defenders have a bandit or something like that it wont matter cause they see buffing bandit so he will be able to bandit trick and it wont matter. Hard breach and breach denial will probably be the only thing that will be worth changing for there isnt really a counter for other ops because most like those ops will get banned. So it evens it out and it gives attackers a higher chance to win, especially if you are solo que or duo que and your randoms are picking characters that arnt useful you can fill the roles you need
I am convinced that the bulk of the games will still be defender sided. In pro league I think this will be really meta changing but for most of us lower ranked players will still be in defender sided games. Everyone thinks about the game in a best case scenario. Most of the time I can't even get my teammates to make proper callouts after they die. Imagining we will perfectly counter a defensive strategy because we can repack is a laughable notion to me. The attackers still have to battle the clock and a hunkered in defense. It is definitely an attack buff but defenders will still have the overall advantage

Even the way they describe the year pass is weird because u get 14 day early access from the battlepass specifically which the year pass is much more expensive then. I wonder how many people will be confused by the wording considering how the year pass worked in the past.
Emerald plains sounds like a Mario Kart map. Also nerfing Maestro’s outside cams is sad, you would never see it because it’s a complete waste of a camera, but being able to run out, put down a maestro cam and zap thermite charges was kinda funny idk
This games changes come from the top 1% playerbase. Literally nothing they do affects casual players in a positive way. It's all meta this, meta that. Changing this bc our analytics say frags get too many kills, ect.

Played only 5 of my placements today and really like the repick I think that if it makes a big change that it need to be only 2 of the attackers can change per round

This obviously costs money, and also finding a real gun that is used for that Counter terrorist organizations. GIGN for example. The mp5 is a real weapon, which requires a licensee, and is used by the French.

i started blocking off the tops of some staircases with Azami because it just kinda screws them over, they either walk up to punch the barrier where i can get an angle on them or they just rotate to another staircase. the only downside is it may hurt a roamer trying to flank or rotate back around
My only question is the issue of smurfing compared to an alternate account. It is undeniably that smurfing is a problem, and it is always a pain to deal with one. For me as a console player it is one of our biggest problems in mid to low ranks, since making a smurf is as easy as making a cup of tea. However, in that same boat it is also easy to make an alternative account to continue playing siege when the main is down which lies my issues. How will Ubisoft know if it is an alt or a smurf? What if you alt is better than your main?
They need to implement invincibility on the spawns yo. It's ridiculous. Make it so that once you start moving, you lose your invincibility. But if you stand still for 3 seconds, you also lose it.
Do you feel like 6th pick would be better and more fair than attacker repick?? I think they should remove the ban phase as it's usually not impactful, makes the game stale, and a lot of people aren't even engaged in it anymore. I see no ban like 10% of the time because not a single person participated. I don't think the game being slightly defender sided is a bad thing I'll say and I know 6th picks will not change the balance a lot, but in ranked it would help. And people would be engaged in it. Whenever I play 5v5 customs with people that have never used 6th picks, they're usually excited by it
This might actually be where I uninstall Siege. And I’m super sad about it. I remember first getting the game when Vigil, Ela, and Zofia was about to be announced. A crazy ride along the way. And it just got pretty stale right around Year 5. Just feels like the image of Siege is completely altered and that kinda sucks. For anyone that knows me from my tens of thousands of casual matches, I’m ScorchedxRanger. It’s been a fun ride.
Tbh if the Attack Repick is too much, they could nerf it to be similar to how the old 6th Pick thing used to be when one person can swap out, except maybe like 3 instead of only one. although the Loadout thing should always be a opinion regardless... Only because of sometimes you may need Claymores instead of Breach Charges or vice versa, blah blah.

I'm trying out the game rn and I have noticed that they reset my keybinds and scroll sensitivity is broken which makes menus annoying. i cannot correct my keybinds
Can you place down kapkan traps then leave? Or will it not do damage? Sometimes me and my friends have to play kapkan and put down traps to restart our system if our game is glitchy so we try and be helpful before we leave.
So, As much as I agree with the outdoors cams nerf, I do think that there should be a compromise. Runouts, in my sole opinion , are some of the most fun things to do in Siege. Maybe the camera's position is revealed when they either z-ping or red ping. That isn't the greatest, because any experienced rounout-er will know not to do that. So perhaps the camera quality goes down so you can only barely see the enemy team, or the light made by an active camera gets significantly higher outdoors. I know I will get flak for this, so just know that it is my own opinion, you can disagree if you want but it won't change anything.
