You know since devs nerf the corrupt dinos to not destroy metal anymore. i used metal dino gates an create a ring around the purple drop. Makes it easier to solo the drop. Only things that could get through is the wyverns and rock drakes.
This doesnt have anything to do with the video but i feel like some of the small ark youtubers like yourself and a few others should play on a cluster or something. As a play through or what ever yall agree on. It would build the community and it would provide content. Id like to see what you can come up with
May not be the most effect but an argentavis can do the yellow drop without to much problems so long as it's a high level. At this time I've only used my all around argy with points all over and it still gets the job done. The fact that it heals after killing things is the biggest help and imprinted can only do better. For red I'd try setting a group of 5+ imprinted argy set to aggresive and following a turtle that's on passive placed in a metal box with follow distance to small. The argy should attack anything that moves while at the same time not straying to far. When done just pick up turtle or just use a dino leash
Wow, i wish i saw the video a few hours ago, i wasted so much time looking through videos with people on 1000 times damage and godmode and all that junk. This is honestly a really good video and it really hurts that this amount of time and effort only got like 5k views. You are great at this and id love to see you continue. To add to the purple drops.... they are a real pain. I just did one with 12 31k Health 600 Melee Gigas, 15 100k health 600% reaper kings and a forcefield. The biggest difficulty was just time. After a while there are a bunch of enraged rexes and the reaper kings are just chewing on them like a baby on a piece of bread... After round 10, my forcefield was at 1/3 health, the reapers at 30000 health and all but 2 gigas dead. Then i decided to stop the osd... honestly im at a point where i just dont know what to do. I defeated all the bosses, have good breeding lines going, but i still didnt find any way on reliably doing the drops. Ive seen some people using an ice titan, but doesnt he damage the drop? I also didnt really understand what the difference in pve is. Dont your dinos damage the drop then? can you use the titan then?
red and purple drops can be a nightmare it's true. Very brave doing these on basic tames with primitive saddles yikes. Your no bs approach is well appreciated.
Some clarification for the noobs like I was until yesterday. I used 4 rexes (40,0000 health each) rode a giga (42k health) and all their saddles are high than 325%. BLUE: have not ever done YELLOW: put my 4 rexes (about a giga away from the osd) at north south east and west on passive. They agro'ed a lot keeping them from the osd and I just walked around killing all dinos. Very easy difficulty, no health lost. RED: same thing with the rexes and I chomped them all with the giga. Easy difficulty, 500-1000hp lost. Purple: same exact thing but I forgot about how many waves there are. I started the 8th wave with 1 rex at 3000hp and my giga was at 6300hp, I had to walk away, I don't know how giga rage works and the dinos do not despawn meaning getting my inventory back would have been a wave 8 with over lvl500 dino fight. My point is, you can judge if you are ready for a yellow (5) after blue (1) you can tell you are ready for a red (10) after yellow (5) but that is it, purple goes straight to (100), the difficulty is vastly different for the purple.
Before I get called out, I did whistle aggressive for the rexes at level 2 during purple, they did not sit on passive. Btw noobs, the rexes are mutated and have around 1230% melee, so it was like having 6-7 imprinted rexes, be ready.
Noticed you didn't use Velonasaurs, some vids I have watch swear by them and element (velon, managarmr, owl) Dino's aren't supposed to damaged the the osd or forcefield. They also do increase damage to the corrupt and take reduced damage. I found the enforcer (150) does massive damage and took very little damage. Maybe try a combo of those in a new vid? Really like to see if that an option for red at least, being Solo offline giga not easy to get anywhere for me.
Hi I went into the wastland and saw a purple drop, it thought it was a easy one until I was surrounded by level 400 and 500 creatures with my level 290 griffin and loss miserably at wave 7
very late to this lmao, I was under the impresion that the drops tiers were just like the loot tiers which seems logical. As I thought the yellows were better than the purples, and I never bothered with the blues. thank you
Bruh I can’t do these solo, every time I try the last 10 or so never come to the drop and I’m spending 30+ minutes looking or waiting for them each wave :/
Way to late of a comment, but if you can manage it, construct some high level enforcers and put all of their points into health and attack, since they have a damage bonus on corrupt dinos you can absolutely destroy everything but the legendries in 1-2 hits. 3-4 of these guys set on aggressive will trivialize most waves just be sure to have a flyer or a spikey boi to shoot dragons down since they are the only ones that can really survive long enough to seriously damage them.
started a purple as my 1st try with 1 giga, got to final wave with 2 enemy left but didnt see them, went a tad too far and the drop vanished.. had about 8k hp left on the giga with acend saddle 124. i shoulda watched this first... the giga and i got some nice lvls tho.
more melee =more resources per swing. most people dont level too much weight in things with reductions because you just use the whip to move it around while its weighted out hope that makes sense
its because ppl dont often solo anky metal farming. Its often karki or argy anky. Anky still got the weight reduction while more melee equal more resources.
Because u need melee for anky so it gathers more resources. U need weight on the argy so it can carry the mats inside the anky. Same thing for karakinos. Or... get this... stuff the alpha don't want u to know... u can just fly around gen2 , get a industrial grinder, place it somewhere hidden, with a bed next to it, and then farm all loot drops on gen2. Just go around collecting all of them. If ur inventory is "full"( u can not drag and drop into ur inventory) just discard everything, and then use the "collect all" button to pick it all up at once. If u have a black boxed anky(it's inventory is slap full, won't harvest anymore) u can get a fjordurhawk , put it on ur shoulder... unload anky, pick up all the mats, then cryo anky, and then die. Hawk will transport all mats to ur bed(presumably next to either a grinder or forge) hope this helps. I can place an entire base + 50 turrets/10 heavys/5 tek in about 4 hours with out ever taming a single dino. Just collect all loot drops and throw em in the grinder.
U can do the gen1 "one bad moeder" mini boss mission to unlock tek boots and tek gauntlets. U need the gen2 skin, put 1 element in the gloves, 1 element in the boots. U can now punch ur way around the map faster than u can fly a wyvern or maewing. Just pull the map out as soon as u start to punch, u will cancel the punch and launch into the air.
