There is a difference in “ growth “ and being overwhelmed. Star and surrounding towns are lost. I’m sure if you are from the cesspool, Star is charming. So encouraging more people to come to an area that can’t keep up the road construction with an area overwhelmed seems crazy, except realtors aren’t concerned with quality of life. They are concerned about making money .

Paradise found, paradise lost. I’m thinking when we cash in our California chips in a few years of not ever buying another house, live off the interest and chase clean, low crime uncrowded, moral places like my California home town once was.

Star has turned into a dump, crime, overcrowded schools, traffic, rude people and litter. It's not a cute little town anymore.

I’m sorry you feel that way! I don’t see any of that. Yes, more crowded! And traffic with all the road construction as the city grows but still feels small town to me.

California Realtors leave California because of crowding, and overpriced housing, bringing that mentality to Idaho. Star is way overpriced, and overhyped. Try driving during the morning and afternoon rush hours. You will be shocked at the traffic of this once quaint little town."Call someplace Paradice, kiss it goodbye."

Craig, thank you for engaging. I would agree that traffic is a problem across the valley as cities try to catch up with the growth. I find Star absolutely charming but if you knew it before it even had a grocery store (not that long ago), then I can see where growth might feel hard.
