When you are checking printers, check out the Epson Sublimation printers. They don't have the same issues as converted Epson printers. I have the F170 which is 8.5 wide and up to 47.24 in length. I've let it go for months without issues and it was powered off. it prints great no matter what the surface is. I now have also the F540 and its big. It also can go long time without being used. They do suggest leaving it on when no in use for the same reason as Sawgrass. You can even send print jobs into printer when you aren't at home if this is a concern and its powered on. The cost of ink is so low its not funny and last. Both of these printers use the same in. The main thing I want to say is that just because its an Epson, doesn't mean you'll have all of these issues or some of them. And the software for the F540 is amazing at what it'll all do. I have nothing against Epson, it just wasn't in my budget. I could have bought one but buying the ink would have been very costly going with Sawgrass. There are lots of videos on comparisons besides this on that will help in your decision process. I hope this helps

Yes, the ink is still there. It is just right in the printer. The first use of it will fill up the printer, taking more from cartridges. Next time it will be expected. You still have all this ink. It is just inside the printer - Agata
Hi Crystal. Will you do an update on inks? Amazon doesn't seem to have true Sawgrass ink. Also Sawgrass has a new ink. Chromablast, I think. Supposedly works on 100% cotton. Do you still recommend original Sawgrass ink? Will the new ink work with the DTF hacks?

I have had nothing but trouble with my Sawgrass 500. I cannot keep it on line, it has been over a year since I was last able to print anything. Also, I have searched and searched and searched and cannot figure out how to access Print Manager for maintenance.

I have a question I have an EPSON ECO Tank Printer and I got the Cosmo Ink. I haven't yet taken the Printer out of the box or the Cosmo Ink. I probably bought them a couple years ago. I just haven't taken the time to set it up and I haven't decided where I want to put it. Do you think the ink is still good? I work at a library full-time but I would like to start doing custom stuff but don't know where to start. I really don't want to start something if I'm not sure if it will sale. Hi there! I'm not sure about the compatibility between a Hiipoo ink cartridge, personally, and an Epson F170 printer. It's always best to consult the printer's documentation or contact the manufacturer to confirm if the Hiipoo ink cartridge is compatible with the Epson F170 printer. There are a lot of third party ink cartridges available in the market which claims to be compatible with the printer model, but it is not always true, using a third party or non-original ink can damage your printer and sometimes void the warranty. I wouldn't recommend using Hipoo Ink. it can void the warranty. And be careful when buying the bottles to refill your F170, some of them say compatible with Epson but they aren't Epson. The ICC profiles that Epson has set up may not work with other printers causing more issues. Epson's ink is great quality, no matter what you print it on and it last and is cost effective. When buying a sublimation printers you should compare the cost of everything when resupplying your ink, etc. And for ones like Sawgrass and Epson Sublimation printers, I'd go with what they are sold with and recommeded by the companies for each.
To print on a full 8.5 x 11 inch paper using a Cricut machine, you will need to adjust the settings in the Cricut Design Space software. We bought 2 Epson ET-3760 One for printing & the other for sublimation. The sub printer got clogged up ( the "new" wore out & I stopped using it). A year later, I FINALLY got it going again. Now I run a print every other day or so. All good 👍
