Your videos are very good and comprehensive and also improving. One small tip; when you show the stock tire/upgrade tire comparison, the camera guy needs to hold the camera in an evenly perpendicular position to both tires. The way you have done it here, doesn't really show the stock tire being thinner, because it is closer to the lens, FYI. Keep up the good work!
Holy, this is the video I have been waiting for not for the E ride pro SS but the XXX you should do this for all of the popular bikes it would be extremely helpful. There’s been multiple times where I’ve ordered parts that I thought would fit and they don’t.
sick build! Rather then the traditional range test, which realistically no one rides like, you should test out how long you can ride it flat out on trails/ hills etc. Just a thought! I do appreciate the "science" you guys do with your range tests though. Looking forward to seeing this one rip around!
I made my Warp 9 direct mount stem work with the factory display mount thru the use of a heat gun and some patience. Take your time and the results are hardly noticeable from stock. And this was on a Warp 9 riser handlebar.
One thing I've learned is that if the brakes are weak you might want to start with brake pads only first. Not sure if they will fit these calipers but MTX red racing pads are absolutely awesome. Super grippy and they never ever squeal.
I am so stoked to find out RevRides is located here in Washington. I am planning on picking mine up this week and I cannot wait! The purple wheels, pegs and bars looks sick btw! 👌
@@Talariaboys Well the owner of Revrides was giving me a hard time when I told him I wanted to drive down and buy one in person. So I ended up just ordering from Griftshift. $4,899 shipped plus no Tax fee!
The most interesting and Benefit:Cost Ratio Comparison would be... A 5k or 7k CHINESE emoto vs a 250cc XPRO or Trail Master 300cc. I'll tell you that the air cooled gas motos will be a better value overall. But it would still be a great dual sport comparison.
🤔 Let's see, compare TWO moto dirt bikes BUILT for the SAME purpose....yeah, that would be stupid! One has a 4-stroke gasoline engine and the other is an electric powered motor and battery. One is 5K while the other is 2k. One has a battery that WILL need replacing after 2-3 years at an enormous cost. WAY more than a 250cc gas engine. One that has a battery that could be dangerous in recharging situations. One that also can ONLY be charged in a SF/freestanding house legally in some states. It's a no brainer sonny b oy... 2k get's you a way more reliable bike that has zero chance of burning up a battery. No go back to your video games...🤣@@Alex-gn6xb
If i knew what i know today about eride pro ss, i would've never bought it! riding on dirt/small jumps, after battery reaches around 40% bike cuts out on ECO full throttle bike 21MPH on SPORT cuts out at about 21MPH, sometimes even not moving at all on ECO, you can turn full throttle nothing happens. After waiting a while jump on the bike & it's slightly better, after about a minute it cuts out again, i thought it was temperature related but motor/controller combo is cool to the touch. Eride pro & their dealers (hyperrides in cali) have no fudding business selling
These are like the kx85 or kx100 of e bikes. You have the pedal style like mountain bicycles and then you have the full size dirt bike style like the varg and then you have these in the middle..
That would be sweet! If you haven't already check out our store you can find the bike and all the mods you need! let us know what we can do to help! tbelectricmoto.com/products/e-ride-pro-ss-2-0
You guys need to weigh a completely stock surron. Just so you have all the stock weights of the bikes. It would be good info for buyers that are smaller or looking for the lightest model for their kids.
Eride still hasn't gotten back to me on the exact cells used inside the battery. Only that they are Samsung 21700's. This is very important as it decided if you can use the stock battery for power upgrades!
@@Talariaboys Does the battery have a Bluetooth BMS like the mx4? The mx4 you can view the bms from a app and it has the cells listed, maybe they have the same thing?
@@Talariaboys Would love to know what specific cells it has as well! Are you guys getting the software controller upgrade that eliminates the need for the turbo button? And wondering if that will have any effect on the longevity of the bike. What do you think?
Yo stoked to see you guys are in SLC also! I'm thinking about getting this or one of these electric bikes and making it street legal. Do you guys have any experience making these bikes street legal? Is it worth it to have a single bike that can do both??
If the Surron wheels fit a Eride Pro SS then why does Warp9 charge a bit more for the Eride wheel set when they are the same size wheel I am looking at on the wheel builder? Am I missing something here? 🤔 Thanks for all the work you guys do reviewing parts by the way. I appreciate it Edit: I found out why, its because the Surron has 203mm rotors compared to the 220mm that the Eride has. Once I changed that the price is the same lol
I'm stuck between used 23 Surron that's already modded out (72v Chi, bac 8000, ace forks, brakes and a few other things) or a new SS 2.0, this is a huge help cause I do want to do aftermarket parts. I think the market will catch up just wonder how long. I did see there doing the pre order on the ebmx 9000 controllers for the SS so it looking good.
First and foremost…I love your videos. My 16 yr old has me watching you constantly. Now… down to business. Are you willing to build an e-ride pro ss for my son, with all the bells and whistles that you feel it should have? He is 6’ 3 and weighs 213 pounds. I want you to send me a budget and get as creative with it as you want,(money is NOT an issue), and if you decide to take this project on I WILL send the funds before you begin. His birthday is on August 13th and his fave colors are burgundy and black. I look forward to hearing from you.
Hey man we would be glad to help! Could you shoot us an email support@tbelectricmoto.com explaining what you might want done. And let us know where your located.
they are designing one. thats all I Know. you could get this one tbelectricmoto.com/products/tb-direct-mount-stem-fits-e-ride-pro-ss?_pos=1&_sid=c5b35b4d8&_ss=r
Thank you for this super informative video and recommendations! I took your advise and ordered pegs and bars from Warp 9 Racing for my new E Ride Pro SS. However, they do not sell grips. Please let me know some specific grips that you recommend and also where to find them online!
Hey Talaria Boys, super video. Can't thank you enoungh for the great videos you put out. Unbelievably helpful. Question for you. How do the Pros SS stock forks and shock compare to the Talaria MX4? You were anxious to swap out the suspension on your Talarias and you rave about the new forks and shock. Does the Pro SS need the same suspension upgrade? Or are the Pro SS forks and shock better than the stock Talaria MX4? Many thanks,
Glad you are enjoying the video's! The stock suspension feels very similar to the MX4. Upgrading them would make just as much difference as it did on the Mx4. In our opinion the only thing the Pro SS is better at is having more power. Nothing else about the bike is any higher quality parts wise.
Enjoyed watching! Did you find a solution for the chain rattling in the tunnel near drive sprocket? Having the same issue with mine after having an absolute blast on it's first ride in neighborhood trails. Thanks!
Im planning on getting this bike but im kinda nervous because its a new company and im worried about the build quality and the replacement parts if anything breaks
I’d get it man! They have been working great and the company is growing really fast with a lot of reputable dealers working with them so parts shouldn’t be an issue
Both are great! I feel like the Eride bike fits the 16/19 setup better. We are all 6ft or taller and love the 16/19 setup. The 18/21 wheels are great on our fully built talarias and Surron.
Getting a E ride pro delivered next week on the warp 9 now getting rims. Do I choose 2024 Surron ultra bee ? For rims also you said 18 inch back and 21 inch front. I’m not seeing a 18 inch option on the wheel builder . Also Thanks for the video man it’s great ! Helps a lot
We are waiting for a 2nd 79 bike that is shipping to us and will be doing a video unboxing it and then doing the same as this video with upgrades that have already been installed. It’s taking a long time to get to us. Then a range test
The forks should hold up better now that they come with a stiffer spring inside. If they are still softer than you like I would go with the fastace or Ferro forks
Love your videos. Got me stolen last week. So bummed ☹️ they need to come out with a built in GPS finder. My insurance company won’t cover it. Hopefully down the road I’ll get another one.
Any idea how wide of a tire I can get on the stock rim before It will rub the chain? 110/90-19s will fit my stock “2.0” rim, but there doesn’t seem to be any offset and there’s not much clearance before chain interference. If it does fit it’ll probably be close enough that tread pattern differences will cause some tires to rub. Just wondering if you ran into that issue yet. Thanks and great vid/bike
Ya we really only recommend up to an 80 wide tire so you don’t have to cut knobs off the side to clear the chain. but if that’s what you want you can give it a try.
Bike looks amazing!! I have the E Ride Pro S model. Not the SS. Would everything fit the same?? Thinking about doing a 19 for the front wheel with larger dirt tires and keeping the 17 inch rear wheel.
You cannot add this large, but you can get much better tires than the stock ones that do work on the stock wheels. Check these out:tbelectricmoto.com/products/tusk-ground-wire-e-motorcycle-tire
hey just got my pro ss and i have the same issue with the chain making that sound, sounds like its coming from the motor area. you spoke about the issue but didnt really show a fix. can you help me out because i cant find a solution anywhere. thank TB.
Did you guys find a fix for the rattling on the chain side of the crankshaft? Mine has been rattling since out the box. Tighten or loosen, I get the same results.
Can you put pedals on it? I want to use it in Mexico but the law over there states that ANY motor vehicle needs to be registered unless it has some type of pedal (for pedaling)
I have a jangle in the front part of my handle bars and can’t figure out what the sound is. You can’t hear it until I start to go faster. Do you know what that sound is?
Lots of great information! Thank you! This thing is going to fit perfectly on my heavy duty one up electric mountain bike rack. Do you know how much the battery weighs? Just approximately. I think I want to pull it out for transportation to make a little less weight on the rack which is rated for 125 pounds. Thanks!!
I love how relatable your justification for buying a new dirtbike is. “Well you see honey, I already have a bike rack that’s perfect for carrying it… I really have no choice but to buy the bike now.” I know we were saving for a house, but I’ve already got this Ferrari t-shirt so… 🤣
Great video, surron Foot peg bracket fits plug and play, throttle, motor, controller mounting points fits surron controller, I was trying to fit surron wheels but no luck Yours are from surron or talaria i mean only back wheel?
We tried the Warp 9 peg bracket and it didn’t fit. Maybe a stock one does but there’s no reason to upgrade to a stock Surron one. And you’ve actually tried fitting a Motor and Controller? Surron wheels fit just fine rear spacing. That’s whats on our bike in this video.
@@Talariaboys I’ve bent my foot peg bracket, fitted surron one fits plug and play, Eride Mentioned me that motor will fit, controller mounting points are same like on surron controller, I have a demo model for sale first batch of bikes should arrive in March i want to put everything from my surron to pro ss it feels better then surron bigger for sure, I was trying to fit back wheel from my surron and it didn’t fit there was like 20mm space left
Any idea if subframe is the same as Surron? I wanna see if the stunt bar from @standupindustry will fit on my Eride when I get it! Thanks for a very informative and well edited video! 🤙
Looking at my bike I think it should fit, but I don’t have a surron to compare to it. I wouldn’t want to ride any trails with those installed though. They look perfectly positioned to destroy the back of your knees if you bail! Personally I’d try to make my own using round rubber passenger pegs that fold up and back so they won’t catch on a fence/tree/bodypart. There’re a million cheap options and you can fab it from Al or steel stock with just a drill and angle grinder if you don’t have access to a welder. You probably have a different riding style/terrain preference than me so it’s your call. The idea of that slamming through the soft side of my knee just makes me nauseous lol.
I just got this bike a few days ago. How significant is the power loss with the 18/21? I ordered 18/21 for mine and got a 64 tooth rear...parts are not here yet. I live in NH. Trails here are failry gnarly. I dont really want less power... I dont care about top speed so much. I was kinda hoping it would keep the bottom end the same with the bigger sprocket... I'm starting to consider returning the wheels and just getting a 16 rear...or even just better tires for the stock 19s I'll find out in a few days but what are your thoughts? 5'10" 175lbs.
it does drop in power some and uses more battery for sure, right now we've been running 16/19 wheels with a big tire on the back and we love it! it still has tons of torque with both setups
