Hi mate, always liked your videos however one thing I would say - in PvP to reduce the 3 procs to reduce/completely negate damage, you don’t need to KILL an enemy, just downing them will reduce the damage. Not only that, but certain skills will also take a proc off. Eg at 4:37 if you had downed the player and destroyed the drone and turret, you actually wouldn’t have taken damage, rather than being downed

You’re right, I think it’s primarily for PvP. But it can be good/fun in PvE too, if you’re into the run and gun playstyle. But ya, congrats on finding it, AND extracting it from the dz. Not many success stories just yet about that
I've had the Eagle Bearer since shortly after it was available in the raid. I almost never use it anymore. It's poor accuracy makes headshot kills difficult to achieve, and the Tenacity buff has killed me more times than I like to think about.
Fair enough. It does have a pretty rough recoil, so I always run sharpshooter with it for the 15% recoil control. Makes a big difference, I find. But ya, just like any other piece in this game, the EB is not for everyone.
The part about opening the box in dark hours 1 time a week is untrue I got mines today running dark hours twice back to back I had 4 left over keys from the previous week and the final boss always drops 1 key so I opened the box and wallah got an EB even though I just ran the raid an hour before.
The 1.5-1.6 armor was nice to know about, but i still can't find a use for this gun. kills me more often than it saves me, people in pvp will just drop those bleed hives an no amount of tenacity is going to save you.
Ya, I hear you. I’m still getting used to not being able to run a jammer pulse to counter hives etc. As for a build, if you have the pieces, system corruption works well with the EB. Because system has a very strong, but very short (5 seconds) power spike when you use hackstep protocol. If you can get a headshot kill and proc tenacity during that time, now your power spike has been extended another 10 seconds. It’s also great against skills. Get hit with a glass cannon fire stick, use hackstep, drop your booster hive and you’ll still be near 100% armor
@@imatowel5930 it’s amazing, *IF*… you can learn the recoil pattern and you have the right build. I highly recommend it on a headshot build. Rolling all earshot damage and handling. Plus, if you use the sharpshooter specialization, you get another 15% handling. I’ve made a few build videos that use the Bighorn, if you’re interested. But if you wanna learn how to use it, I think doing landmarks in the DZ. Enemies are squishy and it’s pretty easy. If rogues come and kill you, who cares. Just respawn or go to another DZ. still the best gun and best looking ar in the game. it still amazed me to this day that they didnt make raid on normal mode can be matchmake, like they did that intentionally to make players suffer and in dz the drop rate is almost non existence even with targetted loot + dz drop. combine this gun with ninjabike messenger backpack, 3 piece striker, picaro holster, a fenrir chestpiece with obliterate and technician specialization. main core : 6 red, 2 blue and 3 yellow. attributes : all red with crit chance, crit damage. all fully optimized and full expertise. this one build is all that u need in pvp.
I tried so hard to make heartbreaker work recently. Just wasn’t doing it for me. Tried multiple builds, but trashed them all. Heartbreaker could probably work well in certain situations, but it ain’t for me. I don’t like relying too heavily on the ACS-12
They just told me in a discord group and clan that I would never be able to play raid because I couldn't speak English... and it shouldn't be this hard to get a weapon in a game... I need to learn English to get the rifle I want most in a game? Not to improve my own life, but just to play raid and get this gun, right? This is how we understand that I will never have that gun..
I hate to be that guy, But you said it was the strongest AR in the game? I beg to differ.. my AK-M is criting for 1.4 mill i got my first EB in the dz use it for 5 days in PVP and dismantled it for the exotic comp. but everybody had there opinion 👍 good video tho
Thanks for checking out the video. Appreciate it. The EB is statistically *one of* the strongest ARs in the game (the bighorn is #1). And as I said in the video, how I calculated the DPS is just the base damage per bullet multiplied by RPM. This does not take into account talents (I also mentioned that a weak point of the EB is it’s talent doesn’t give any damage, whereas every high end AR will). Combos like Flatline/Spotter and Ridgeways/Sadist have definitely made exotic weapons less relevant, but far from irrelevant. And honestly, if the EBs damage was on par with the high ends after considering talents, it would be extremely overpowered considering how powerful tenacity is. Nonetheless, I know a lot of people who have tried the EB and didn’t like it. Personally, in a game like this, I’m more about having fun and trying to improve as a player as opposed to having the strongest build
I just hate it. Tenacity is so unreliable and DTOC is overhyped anyway. You can make some really tasty builds by rolling crit chance on your AR. The number of times I got headshot kills and tenacity didn't proc is unreal in the DZ so I have gone back to FAMAS
Really? I’ve never had an issue with tenacity not proccing. But I use the EB predominantly in Conflict and PvE. Could be a DZ thing. While I do believe DTOC is strong, I think it’s great to try other attributes. I wish they’d nerf DTOC and DTA across the board, though. I think it’d be great for build diversity
@aBL1NDnoob in PvE I have found it even worse. The game will register, for example, nine headshot kills and tenacity will proc maybe for 2 of them. It just feels a bit busted to me but I dunno. Certainly with the ninjabike I have found I don't miss DTOC on the gun but I still use foxes and the two piece bonus is useful
@@dh1380 damn, that’s pretty unlucky. I’ve been working on trying to make something work with the ninja bike backpack, but so far no luck. I came up with a new idea this morning, though, and will head back to the lab tonight
EB talent, tenacity is stupid its like having glass Cannon talent It doesn’t make sense I got the EB and that the only thing I don’t like about the EB 🖕🏽
Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean by tenacity is like having glass cannon. I get that some people don’t like the talent, but I’ve never heard it compared to glass
the only thing you need to know about the eagle bearer is that its a shit weapon with a shit talent and the first time it kills you, you're gonna put it in your stash and ignore it, like i do. st. elmo's is a much better assault rifle.
